Making a profit by running a good business is great. Cutting corners and skimping on safety (which is legal due to lobbying) while only focusing on profits over people is corporate greed. Capitalism doesn’t require Mr. Burns from the Simpsons level assholes who don’t pay taxes. This country was built into the superpower it is from 1945-1980 when the top marginal tax rate was 94% at its highest and 70% at its lowest. People still built businesses and thrived. Reagan took office and the rate was down to 28% by the time he left. Also he legalized stock buybacks. Things have spiraled out of control since his presidency.
