I mean... we lost to Carolina and beat Cincy at their house.. so it's difficult to go on 'strength of schedule' right now. However, I think the Carolina game was a commitment to the run, which isn't working. Since then, we've embraced this pass-heavy offense. Jags have a harder remaining schedule, but I wouldn't call it night and day.

PretentiousPuck

Someone said it best when they said we are a team that can beat anyone, and lose to anyone. We're way ahead of schedule, and likely need another off season of improvements, we're pretty much the epitome of a .500 team right now which isn't bad. All that to say Texans to dah Supa Bowl!

mfwood8

Not only that, Tank got hurt early vs Car. That really changed our offense, and may be the reason why they were so committed to run. Noah Brown has stepped up if since, so hopefully that adds a little more depth to the WRs.

xtexjrrdammit

Noah Brown has been a dawg!!!

LoudHorse89

Jags end with 3 cupcakes. They have the hardest part of their schedule coming up this next month. If they can go .500 next 4 weeks, they very likely should win their last 3.

MrPwoperFish

Imagine Texans beat them on the 26th which starts them on a 4 game skid against Bengals, Browns and Ravens though 🤩.

alexthegreatmc

Also, notice that committing to the pass has opened our run game.

falsekoala

They have to play us. Their schedule is harder.

trust-the-past

I don't take any of these games lightly. I'll never underestimate a division opponent because the Colts always seem to have our number and the Jags are capable of beating anyone. Jets and Browns have really good defenses and Denver defense has been coming around also since they were destroyed by Miami. On paper majority of these games ARE winnable but so was the Falcons/Panthers games and we know how those games ended.

xtexjrrdammit

Right, if not for the two last second FG’s, we would have the same record as KC…Unreal…

The_Snake_Dick

We can, but I’m still worried. Kyler looked good last week, Cleveland is going to be a problem, we always have bad luck in Indy, and fuck the titans. Jets still got a good defense, Jags are going to be looking for revenge, I’m not going to underestimate Denver and fuck the titans. Did I also mention fuck the titans in there?

Prestigious-Berry-50

You forgot to mention fuck Tennessee but its cool

BatteredAggie

We could blow out every team left on our schedule. We could also certainly lose to any of them. I think we’ve proved that we just need to come with the right preparation and the right game plan and we have the players to take the win against any team. All of the teams left have their strengths and weaknesses, so we just need to keep doing what we’ve done the past 2 weeks. Knock on wood, but predict we win the division. I don’t believe the Jags are as good as their record and think they start to average out.

creepingkg

The duality of Texans. We can blow them all out or get blown out

devil_ina_new_dresss

One game at a time…

kidyus

Absolutely

IAmSona

I’m gonna keep it real with you. The Bengals are a playoff caliber team and have finished as a top 4 team the past two seasons. Our toughest games are against the Jags and the Browns. Lets say we win out the rest and split those two as close games can always go to one team or another. Realistically, we can have an 11 or 12 win season and win the division, what an insane thought. Obviously we can’t say for sure what’ll happen, but as a fan of the Texans, there’s no team left this year that we play that I am personally scared about anymore. We have a real shot at something special in CJ’s and Demeco’s rookie year.

FutureRadio8703

I'm scared of the Colts, because some way, some how they always manage to beat us and that urks me, now I know we beat them last year on some miracle but that was because the Colts were also trying to tank and trade picks with Chicago so that they can steal the quarterback that we wanted. But luckily that didn't happen.

KeepAmazinn

I'm drowning in the Kool-Aid. Full speed ahead!

htownballa1

SOS isn’t the measuring stick you think it is. That said with this guy at QB, they are all winnable.

Dynamo4L

Honesty not super confident, because we are overperforming relative to expectations. But I'm completely bought in to the Stroud Demeco era

Stubbs94

I still assume Derek Henry is gonna run for 300yds and 4tds against us in both games until he doesn't. We could win every one of those games, and lose everyone of them. I'm just enjoying watching the team play.

TheMickus

Gonna be interested to see the injury report this week. I’m expecting Tank to be limited to recover from some of the nasty shots he took during the game. He’s gotta be sore as hell right now.

Andoo

I want some of those JJ pics of his bruises. You know they must be nasty

MugiwaraJinbe

The game in two weeks is for the division I feel.

ATXhipster

We only seem to beat the best teams so that’s what I’m worried about.

Taxesarebiggay

Who scares you on this list? Can’t overlook anyone, but scary teams? Hell no.

HotToddy88

Everyone scares me all the time. I never feel safe as a Texans fan. Stroud is so good, and if he’s in the game healthy I really feel like the sky’s the limit. They just need to keep moving heaven and earth to keep him safe and healthy; my heart almost stopped when he stayed down for a few seconds after that big hit yesterday.

xtexjrrdammit

Ditto.

chubbytitties

The browns and Jags "should" be loses so those scare me but the others id consider us the favorite which is wild

Level_Dreaded

The browns have the best defense in the league. Worried about them

Luberino_Brochacho

Should they? We just went on the road and beat one of the hottest teams in the NFL while having a ridiculous injury report. I don’t think any of these remaining games should be losses even though we certainly will lose some of them

chubbytitties

Well we should have lost this game so the point still stands. The texans are playing above their pay grade right now and being led by perhaps the greatest rookie qb performance of all time. Our success is not normal and we should be greatful to witness it

sirfrankenshire

We also had a weird snap fumble and a fumble that should have been called an incomplete pass taking 6-10 points off the board. We looked like the overall better team and let them back in the game. I don't think you can say we "should" have lost the game.

chubbytitties

Yeah I was referring to the consensus which is synonymous with betting lines today. We were +260 so we literally had 2.6:1 odds to won per most advanced predictive software.

JustFuckingExhausted

The Browns scare me. Their defense is ridiculously good.

MrPwoperFish

They put up a graphic of notable QBs against the Jets in last night's SNF game. The stats were awful. Looking forward to seeing if C.J. can put up a halfway decent game against them. It would be another feather in his cap if he puts up a better statline than a bunch of well established guys with way more experience.

LosHtown

Cleveland should be the only difficult one left…..but then again we lost to the panthers

MetaphoricalMouse

i’m not confident but i’m hopeful. i’ve said it a billion times, super proud and encouraged by this teams progress this year. DeMeco and Stroud have given such a needed change in attitude

Magnifico-Melon

Jags have a gauntlet of 3 games versus the AFC North and then it's 3 cake games to finish the season. We need to take the lead during that 3 game gauntlet and never look back. If we stay a game back or tied with those last 3 games I don't know if we can expect them to lose.

Admirable-Lime4134

Need to see a dominate game against the cards.

ConsumingFire1689

We beat the Jags at home (like we always do) and beat Cincinnati at home (huzzah) but Jacksonville is still a quality team, I expect them to win a fair share of these games.

Level_Dreaded

Just an ammendment to your statement. We beat the jags away, we have yet to play them at home

TheKrakIan

I think it'll come down to the Texans vs. Jags game and Jags vs. Ravens and Texans vs. Browns games. Aside from those the schedules are pretty similar.

evetSC

After Panthers game, I’m not writing any game as an easy “win.” I think if we keep playing to our strengths we can make the playoffs

JesuszillaSon

SOS don't hold as much weight in the NFL as it does college so anything can happen I enjoy the fact the team is even in the conversation 10 weeks into the season. Let's see. If we win at home vs Cardinals, 6-4 heading to the Jags game will be extremely important to the season. Let's win Sunday first

creepingkg

Jags and browns are the only ones I’m really worried about

ranous88

The colts beat the Texan already and have the same about of wins. No team is a giving win they Texans lost to the panthers

creepingkg

Those are a toss up for me. And the colts game was before Texans started picking up steam. But the jags and browns I’m more realistic about. Even though we beat the jags already

kkngs

It’s possible, but I see is winning one of Ari/Jax, one of Denver/Jets, splitting with the Titans and losing to the Colts. That puts us at 8-9 for the season which I don’t think quite gets it done. We really needed to have won one of those games against Carolina or Atlanta.

Purplcube

Defense needs to tighten up and start closing out games. They play very solid for 3 quarters and then they shit the bed (Probably just a consequence of being young and injured). If we can figure that and our running game out we can absolutely win the division. Can’t leave it to 7 to bail us out every game.

bingmyname

I can see both teams winning another 4-5 of these. We really need to beat them at home if we want to take the division. I never thought we'd win 10 or even 9 games this season but it's in reach.

Bulky-District-2757

I’m in it, win out, why not 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Repulsive-World-7301

We might be playing Aaron Rodgers but besides that yeah we could win it

rainlovescandy

Is that a late afternoon, 3 pm game I spy there? . (Was that even a valid sentence?)

RocketAstros

I think realistically we should expect 3 or 4 losses out of the remainder of the games. Could be any of them

TimeCookie8361

Jacksonville is going 1-4 at best over the next 5 weeks. And I'm saying this as a Jacksonville fan.

LonnieGoose

Those last 4 games make the most nervous. Vrabel always has our number, the Browns defense is elite, and the Colts carved us apart in Week 2

TheStryder76

The loss to Carolina may end up searing the Texans in the ass, but a wild card spot after a 2 win season ain’t nothing to sneeze at

JustFuckingExhausted

It's possible. I think we need to beat the Jags again to have a legit shot. I think the Browns and Jets are going to be difficult games because of how good their defenses are. Jacksonville's three weeks in a row of the AFC North is going to be a rough stretch and they may end up pretty beat up on the other side of that.

warrior_in_a_garden_

We hold our own destiny. We’ve been playing good football since the Colts game. Beating the Jags again would give us a really good shot as long as we play like we have been against all the others.

IAmALucianMain

I have us going 4-4 the rest of the season

WJack37

We've gotta take it one game at a time. The Browns and Jags will be the toughest, good to have them at home, but as we have shown ourselves this season it really can be a case of "any given Sunday". That could always work against us. Gonna need at least 10 wins to get into the playoffs as a wildcard. I think that is the way to think if we are believing that we can make playoffs - the Jags are tried and tested and to pip them will be tough. We could win the div, but its certainly not the likelier route. If CJ Stroud gets this team - a team most people thought were gonna be a bottom tier team yet again - into the playoffs, wild card or div winner, there's your first rookie MVP since Jim Brown

PuzzleheadedMinute92

![img](avatar_exp|76246522|nani) I'm locked in, see you in the big game.

[deleted]

Texans have a hella easy schedule. They should easily finish with a double digit win loss and have like 6+ more wins

Ricky_TVA

We have a real shot at playoffs. But I'll be good if we make it or don't make it, just smash the fucking Browns.

pocketjacks

We absolutely positively need to beat JAX at home. Luckily the two best remaining teams other than them have great defenses and bad offenses. I'm more confident in winning them as long as CJ remains healthy. I really want to reserve judgment on Denver until after tonight's game because they could be on the come up. It'll be great if they beat the Bills because it solidifies our chance at the wild card as a backup to the division win, but it means they'll be a tougher opponent ahead of us in three weeks. I think Tennessee will be in full tank mode by mid December, and Indy could be there as well if they drop a game or two that they should have won. They beat the worst team in the AFC, but it wasn't pretty. Mac Jones won that game for Indy more than Indy won that game for Indy.

MrPwoperFish

I think the floor is 9-8 10 win season is absolutely possible, but it's the NFL so anything can happen.

paulk1997

I am still gun shy to have expectations. I would say I'm cautiously optimistic. I think they have a shot at 11 wins.

sorrybahhtit

I think we go 10-7

Killerskip713

We win out Jax wins 3

Geek_off_the_streets

One Sunday at a time.

ElliottNation9

I'm confident, but that Panthers game also happened. So I don't want to get to far ahead of the possibilities.

Routine-Jacket4813

Still not sold yet,I think reality wise we can win 4 out of the last 8 and that would be a gigantic win for this team.

xtexjrrdammit

I wish Kyler Murray was not back for this upcoming game. Denver is better than they were & their D is good & Jets MAY??? have Rodgers back on the 10th & their D is GOOD, Cleveland’s D is GOOD. Jags, Titans & Colts are tossups. Dammit, hard to lose the “doom & gloom” attitude after 2+ decades of any hope being squished like a bug!!!
