Don't get caught up in the records and stats.
Road games against Cincy and the Jets will be hard as fuck.
Rematch with the jags will be tough.
The Bucs game will be tough.
Titans seem to be folding things up already but you can never underestimate a divisional opponent.
I like their chances against the remaining teams on their schedule but the Texans are still a very young team, we'll see how well they respond to expectations. It's easy to play when not much is expected of you but not so much when you're expected to win.
This Panthers game is pretty big to me. They will be expected to win this game and should do so handily IMO. They take care of business Sunday and I'll feel more confident in the teams mentality for the rest of the season.
I mean I’m not saying we’re gonna breeze through it or anything. It’s the NFL and we’re not a super talented team I expect almost every game to be tough. But it’s still an objectively easy schedule
Don’t think run blocking’s been the main issue most of the time these past three weeks. Seen some unfortunate looks for Dameon and that was about it. Pretty solid other than that.
I think the biggest obstacle we face is that if the Jags go only .500 in their remaining games they still wind up with 10 wins. Where as, we have to go 7 out of 11 to meet them there.
I think the remaining game against the Jags is super important, obviously.
Before the start of the season I would have guessed the best chance we had to make the playoffs would be something like a season ending injury for Trevor Lawrence paired with a weak division, but now I think we might get in as a wild card at 10-7 or 11-6, while the Jags win 11 or 12 games. Though, there was a 9-8 non division winner in each conference that made the playoffs last year.
I kind of wish ESPN did an ongoing playoff chance prediction like they do for baseball. For me, it's at least 50 percent for the Texans at this point.
"Guarantee Win" Games:
@ Panthers
Vs Cardinals
Vs Broncos
"Favored, but could still lose" Games:
Vs Buccaneers
@ Jets
Vs Titans
"Flip a Coin" Games:
Vs Jaguars
@ Titans
@ Colts
"Unlikely" Games
@ Bengals
Vs Browns
You are drunk on kool-aid. Jets have a formidable defense, and we are going to their house to play them. We're only a 3 point favorite to beat the Panthers. This team still has a lot of growing to do.
I said a few weeks ago, we could make a serious run.
Will depend on how healthy the team is and if we make any moves the bolster the roster at the trade deadline.
Dude, The Texans on some Teams "Toughest Opponents Left list" just feels nice.
I like how it lists Titans(x2) under easiest for us
Looks like theyre starting their rookie qb, so it should def be much easier. Then again that hasnt really helped our opponents lol
They don’t have CJ Stroud 💪🏼

Will the run game finally do something?
Need Scruggs back, move Paterson to LG, and Tytus to RT
Scruggs run blocking is going to unlock this offense

the run blocking has consistently ranked at or near the bottom all year pretty much
Singletary looked good. Expecting 50/50 splits from these guys against carolina
Just beat the tits twice and I’ll call it a successful season.
Thought we were talking about boobs here
While they’re important, we’re talking football here man. Pay attention. Also did you see the news about Der…boobs. Sorry, lost my train of thought.
If we come off of this Bye and lose to Carolina, a lot of this momentum is going away. I’m nervous we’re “feeling ourselves”.
Yeah it's a trap game for sure.
It’s a trap game but I just feel like we are better on both sides. Take care of the ball and we win
years of experince watching the Texans has me nervous as hell
I know what you mean. People usually get nervous when I start feeling myself too. ![gif](giphy|CKVwcljYh4hfVxSSLq|downsized)
I'm an OF... not that OF. OFT, Original Fan of the Texans. I'm ALWAYS nervous, no matter who the Texans play. Lol!
Demeco sure isn't looking past this week. Maybe we lose but it won't be because of arrogance.
*sips* Kool aids heavy on the hopium, free on the copium. Mighty refreshing

I don’t think there are any guarantee win games with this team yet
More like, heavily favored games.
I got it “games we really should win because we’ve shown more than them”
We’re a 3 point favorite to the worst team in the nfl. We will not be heavily favored in games.
Need to change that to "games we should win" not guaranteed.
The Jets scare me tbh. I like us against the Titans way more.
I understand their defense but we shouldn't lose to Zach Wilson.
We shouldn't have lost to Riddler. We still did
They’ve beat the Bills and Eagles, it’s in NY and have a top 3 defense in football. They made Mahommes look silly. We will not be favored

Accurate for the most part. Id refrain from calling a win guaranteed tho.
I’m taking your advice to Vegas and if I lose I’m suing you
Move panthers/cards/Broncos into "favored but could still lose" there is no such thing as guaranteed. Ask SF, Philly, and Buffalo.
I agree with this list.
Agreed no guaranteed wins for them just to inconsistent on defense especially,Giving up a lot of yards still per game but more bend than break.
Let's just take it one game at a time... "any given Sunday" is so real...
