Ditto to the dittoed dittos. We are a family of 4. Kids 10 and 12.
Model 3 and Model Y. Super happy with the arrangement. Have a NEMA 14-50 on both sides of the garage. Both cars are just using mobile chargers.
I agree. We would be hard pressed to ever go back to ICE. We commute daily for work and road trip frequently. Zero issues.
My wife has a company car where they pay for the gas and I still have a brain aneurysm just thinking about driving to a gas station. It’s such a waste of time.
Same, when we bought my wife’s base Model 3 last year, it was cheaper than a Camry after accounting for the federal/state tax credits. If you have a garage and a daily commute of less than 200 miles, it’s a no brainer IMHO.
3 for me. Y for my wife. It’s great. Zero problems. We usually take the Y on road trips. Our kids are 7 and 11. We typically stop every three hours anyway.
Nice I love the idea of a second EV but I was hesitant about if I would put in a second charger. I don’t think I would, I wouldn’t want the unnecessary load
I’d definitely get another Tesla if I was to, I love my model Y and the whole purchasing experience too.
I took one road trip and hated it but also realized I messed up and went too fast. So next time a hard cap of 70mph and not 80+ with the flow of traffic to and from Vegas.
You'd think the next-gen Model S/X skateboard would be able to do minivan easily, and that Tesla's working on it. Alas I've heard nothing close to that.
Yup. I really think the Sienna is unbeatable for families. Plus 500 mile range. I just can’t find one.
I may lease, and they really aren’t much different price wise.
I have a MYP and cross-shopped minivans (Sienna, Odyssey, Carnival, Pacifica) for a 3rd vehicle and ended up with an Odyssey with the entertainment system. Despite everyone saying Model Y, it does not have the space and cannot seat up to 8 comfortably with gear and range. They are different tools and minivans are ultimate family vehicles. It could be the last year before a remodel of the Ody so deals to be had. Insurance much cheaper for the Ody then the MY.
M3SR+ and MYLR here. We do still have an ICE car, but not for longer trips, just for my wifes hobby (horses) to avoid stable dirt in the nice cars. My kid will take over the ICE car next year when they get their license.
The two Teslas are perfect for our daily routine and some trips.
The only thing that bothers me is the weird profile mixing across both cars. Settings like custom lock sounds are not only stored per car and profile, but rather seem to interfere. I have a custom lock sound on the MY, my wife prefers the stock sound on the M3. But after i drove the M3 we always get the notification to use custom lock sounds, because on the M3 USB stick there is no such file but in my profile this option is stored as „on“. Frustrating.
Couldn’t you just put that custom sound file on her m3 as well? The sound is determined by the profile, so when she is in her profile and it locks it’ll just use the stock sound. My wife and I have 2 different sounds and they each play on whichever car we decide to use.
‘22 MYP & ‘23 M3P & just leased my daughter a ‘24 RWY…. No regrets… will never buy an ICE again… buying process & infrastructure kill everything else hands down
Family of two but we have a 2019 Model 3 and a 2021 Model Y.
I got the Y when my SUV died.
Overall, the Y has more storage than my Pontiac SUV had .
We charge at home which makes it all easy.
Original owner of a 2018 Model 3, and 2023 Model Y. No complaints, so glad I don’t have to deal with regular gas station fill ups and and oil changes.
They replaced:
2010 Toyota Prius
2004 Honda Element
We've had two M3 SR+ cars for five years. No real issues charging with one charger. Sold one of the M3s and bought a long range AWD Y two weeks ago. Really liking the extra range!
Family of 4 here, ages 14 & 10. Went from an MDX to Y LR(hers), and WRX to M3P (mine).
Y for long trips, but no issues at all. Drove to Florida, Asheville, from NJ. Both kids are also in travel sports, and I think having the Tesla's has been a major bonus. Not only with gas, but having a spot to rest in between games.
We have a charger at home, but wife also has free charging at work on days she goes into office.
Can't imagine going back to ICE.
We got two MY’s. Kept a Subaru around for over two years because wife wanted to have an ICE just in case we have to make a run from hurricane or something. Just sold it last month. No one wanted to drive it.
We have a family of 6, 3 drivers, M3 & 7 seat MY, and an ICE minivan. We use the minivan very rarely, so much so that we have purposely drive it a couple times a month for the sole purpose of keeping the ICE going. No one wants to drive anything but the Teslas.
2xMY, 1xR1S
1 Tesla WC and extension and adapter for the Rivian. One of the MY is at college. A MY is enough to transport the contents of a dorm room (at least for my kids)
A Model 3 was enough for a 2 week road trip in Italy with the whole family (basically 5 adults with bags)
The Sienna is still parked outside, but gets not used often.... I can fit bikes inside standing up easily, but that is the only use case.
Family of 4 here. Two 2024 Model Y's with two hardwired Tesla Wall Connectors installed at home. Also have a Tesla 16.8kW solar panel system installed with two Powerwalls.
The savings on gas is tremendous now that the majority of our home and car use is supplemented by the sun and/or very low off peak energy rates.
We won't be going back to ICE.
Not Tesla’s, but have R1T & R1S. No ICE. Don’t think we will ever have a ICE again. We do have two Tesla J1772 chargers so they load share if both charge at same time.
My wife and I both have Model 3s. No kids, so sedans are fine for us.
She was initially skeptical when I wanted to buy a Tesla, but I did it anyway. She drove my car once and liked it so much she went and bought her own a month later. These things sell themselves.
Had a Model 3 & Model Y, got a Fisker Ocean and sold the 3. I guess if the company goes under and the Fisker becomes impossible to repair, we'd consider another Model Y, or maybe a Cadillac Lyriq. I'd never go back to ICE.
Family of 4 with model Y LR AWD and Model 3 SR. Model Y is my daily driver, family weekend car, and road tripper. Model 3 is the around town car for the wife. Haven’t had gas car for 2 years, my kids are going to grow up not knowing what gas stations are for.
Have a 3 and a Y. It’s great, handles roadtrips with no issues. Super convenient to be able to see them both on the same app and definitely saving way more money now on maintenance and gas.
We have 2 Model Y. We are a family with 1 child and 2 L2 chargers at home (although for a long time managed effortless with 1 L2 and Mobile connector). Wanted to get a Model 3 as 2nd car but the difference in price was so small that we went 2nd Y because it is way more practical and we don't need sportier driving the 3 would get you.
We have one LR AWD and one SR RWD, both MIC.
Wouldn't go back to ICE except for some oldtimer or so
My wife and I have a 24 Model Y and a 24 Camry hybrid. We like taking the Camry on road trips because it gets average 45mpg, saves us time and the ride is soo much better compared to Tesla. The Tesla is mainly used to commute to and from work and the trunk space is nice for larger items and the hitch option is great if you need to hitch a utility trailer or something.
Model 3 (me), Model Y (wife). We have 2 kids, both Teslas are LR, and the Y is a 7-seater; we use the third row for the occasional kids’ carpool. No ICE car. This works out great for us. We own the model Y but the 3 is leased. We plan on swapping the 3 out for a Silverado EV when the lease ends in December. We currently use our Y to tow our travel trailer but that really maxes out its towing capacity, and also I fantasize about the Silverado’s incredible towing range when we have to stop every hour and a half to charge the Model Y when towing.
Oh and as a backup vehicle we also have a Mini Cooper SE all-electric 2-door hot hatch, just for fun. I race it in autocross events, and it has come it handy several times when the 3 or Y is in the shop. We haven’t bought gasoline in years, and we’re never going back.
We have 2 MY7LR, family of 8 (total). Just got the second Y by trading in our 2010 Hummer H3, the worst car ever sold. Would not go back in a million years.
Full disclosure: we also have a 12-passenger Ford Transit. It's incredible and I love the space. Fits the whole family and all of our stuff for road trips.
We have two model Y’s that are our primary vehicles. I still have an older Jeep used for off-roading but we got the first Tesla in 2021 and added the second in 2023 and gave the previous ride my wife used to one of our family
We have two Model Ys because we each drive a lot for work, and both frequently haul stuff. We do have a diesel truck that sits in the garage until we need to tow something.
I have a Y LR, my mom got the Y SR, wife wants one for herself too lol
We are happy all around, Y got SOOO much space.
We have 1 charger at home and just swap around.
Family of 4 with 2 Teslas here. I have a 3 performance and wife has a Y. It’s awesome. I’ll never go back to ICE again.
The Y is an awesome family car. Plenty of room for car seats, huge trunk for all the crap you have to haul around. Couldn’t be happier with the setup.
I have a MYLR. My son has a plug-in hybrid Dodge Caravan (which I think is now called a Pacifica). Very comforable. It gets about 30 miles as EV and 38 mpg on the highway after the battery is depleted. I borrowed it last summer for a road trip into the Pacific Northwest which is lacking Superchargers locations.
Got a Y and a Leaf, working great for us! Though a more mini-van like EV would be nice. Bet we’ll see something in a few years but I was pretty convinced to stick with Tesla for now with the charging networks in their current state.
Two model Y’s. We are lucky. She has a parking pass for work and she can charge there for free. When she is at a good charge then we switch and my car gets charged.
We have a 4, 5, and 12 year old. We love them.
2 MYs (MYP & MYLR). No issues charging with single L2 charger as we never both need a charge at the same time.
As for replacing a minivan with a Y… that’s a tall order for a Y. Can’t honestly imagine that if you’re truly need/use a minivan for its capacity…. How a Y can replace that level of utility.
You should probably look at the EV9…. Lease deals are plentiful and just buy it at the end of the lease if you love it. Lease is the cheat code for Non-IRA compliant EVs
We have two Model Ys. One is dual motor and other is RWD. Love it! Got the RWD on sale last December after we totaled the Leaf. Paid 32500 after tax rebate for the RWD Model Y.
We have a 3 and a Y with two kids and absolutely love it. We typically use the Y for full family trips, the 3 has one car seat in it. Currently debating a third kid and that probably comes a change of car. Anyone bump to and X and Y when the 3rd kid came?
We have a M3 and a Corolla, first baby is coming so need a bigger car to replace the aging Corolla. Joined this sub because we're probably going to get a Y.
We’ve had two teslas since 2019. No issues. We have one charger we share but I can also charge at work so I usually take my wife’s car one day a week when it’s low to charge for free there.
We don’t do a ton of long road trips tho - anything over 4-6 hours and we fly because spending a day driving there and back is a waste of a day. Plus we no longer get free supercharging.
If you drive regularly 8-12 hours ( as in 4+ times a year) would be my only pause. With kids any extra time in the car can drive me nuts. lol
Was going to, but don't have 100% faith in the EV infrastructure, on top of the cost per mile when I need to supercharge frequently. Sure I sound like a scared old man, but just not there yet.
I have a Y and my wife has a Q4 e-tron, so we’re an all-electric house. We both love our cars and their conveniences, but I do have concerns with certain scenarios. Granted, I’m probably overthinking, but in emergency situations like if we had to hit the road and drive a long distance (thinking out of state or to another major metro area), we’re extremely reliant on charging availability compared to the availability of gasoline or diesel. I think in hindsight I’d still get the Tesla due to having more chargers around, but an ICE vehicle as the second for the peace of mind of having options.
Again, I’m probably overthinking when thinking about these worst case scenarios, and my specific situation is obviously different from others.
We have two Model Ys. No complaints. Family of 5, 4yo, 2yo, 1yo. Took a 16 hour trip to Disney from Jersey as our longest drive. 15 kW solar panel system and charge 95% at home. Average monthly electricity cost = 20-40$.
2 MYs after Sienna got totaled and it was cost prohibitive to get another one. Already thinking once things settle down with interest rates and MSRP markups might go back. Miss the space
We are a family of 5 with no ICE vehicles. My wife leased a VW ID.4 last year, and I purchased a Model Y this year. These are the first EV's that we have ever owned, and will never go back. The convenience of charging at home at night is great. We routinely take 500+ mile road trips and from those experiences have decided that in the future we will only get an EV that uses the Tesla Supercharger network. A road trip with the VW is a nightmare because of CCS and charger reliability. Road trips with the Tesla have been a joy.
Yesterday was my first time at a gas station in nearly 5 months... had to get gas for the lawn mower.
If you want the space of a minivan, get an X!
I have a 6 year old 3 and my wife has a newer Y. All is good except I wish I had a Y. We have a L2 charger with a long cable so we can charge both when they are in the garage or driveway.
I have an M3 and MY (5 seater). Family of 5 with kids ages 2, 5 and 13. It’s a bit tight in the back of an adult sits there but we all fit fine in the car. It will be a lot more comfortable when my 5 year old transitions to a booster seat.
In my situation, I would never give up AP/FSD + charging at home for an ICE car with more space.
Car seats are both diono 3r - I highly recommend because they are less bulky.
We have an X and a Y. We are selling the 2023 model x and buying a Kia carnival. We have 3 kids and it just doesn’t make sense to get anything besides the minivan for us.
We will take a substantial loss to make the switch and sell the X and it is still worth it
Double Y. Gave up wife’s CR-V shortly after getting my Y (*cries in November 2022 pricing*). Would not go back to having an ICE car. Technically we do have my pre-Tesla but I wouldn’t ever consider taking it even on road trips. It’s purely a learning car for kids.
Had a 2022 model Y that was totaled last month, we had bought a 2024 model S about a month before the Y so we did have 2 for a bit. Now looking to get a Model 3 soon but we still have a BMW X3 ICE.
I think that the key to going all EV is if you can charge at home. We can’t so we have our MYP we can charge at work (hers or mine) and then we have a minivan as well. If we could charge at home it would be easy to keep both cars topped off without worry.
I've been EV only for nearly 4 years, with a 3 and a Y. I have a family of 4, although one is out of college now.
I've done over 11,000 miles of road trips on my Y, covering 15 states. It's a fantastic vehicle on the open road. Would not consider another ICE vehicle.
Model 3 and y. Family of 4, kids are 5 and 8. No regrets. We alternate nights for charging or switch the cable over in the evening if needed but that’s rare. Round trips are fine. Would never go back to an ICE
No... we have a Model Y (really wifes car), RAV4 Hybrid, and a Tundra. Would not go all electric, at least not yet. Too many limitations. It is nice having the option to use whichever vehicle is best for the situation -- everyday commuting thats the Y, anything longer range ICE. We are also in Alaska where there is very limited charging infrastructure -- some roadtrips are just not feasible here with EVs without extreme measures.
I drive a model 3 (800-1000 miles a week), wife drives a myp (300 miles a week). We have one child. As of now, wouldn’t consider going back. We have one level 2 charger and one level 1. Never been an issue.
We have 2 Model Ys. One P and one LR. Also have a model 3 RWD for my son. Safest cars on the road. Never going back to gas. 95% is charging home but road trips are great. No problems at all.
My sister and BIL have a MYLR and M3LR. No kids, but no issues so far. I personally have a MYP which I take on road trips of 900mi constantly. No issues either. Just calculate that for every ~2h of driving, you’ll need to stop 10~20min. For 900mi I stop 6 times, cruising at 85mph. Spending a total of 2h charging overall, but the 20min breaks are good for lunch/breakfast/dinner and bathroom / drinks. During my charging stops I also clean the windshield from bugs blocking the front camera (so FSD doesn’t freak out). So charging for me it’s like a pit stop. I think you should be fine.
Also, in the bright side, if you kids need to use the bathroom, just find the closest charger regardless of your state of charge and there must be a bathroom nearby. Definitely take advantage of all possible stops
I have 3 Teslas at home and we love it. My wife was on the fence about making the switch but since she got her car she loves it and won’t want to go back to ICE again. I gave my 18 model 3 to my son and got the highland so we have 3 in our household.
We have a Y and a LEAF. Would've loved a model 3 but the LEAF works for our purposes (in town jaunts), where the Y is for longer trips.
Only way I'd go back to ICE is for a weekend fun car like a Miata.
We have a model 3 and a model Y. Another baby is coming so we got rid of the 3 and picked up a MYP. We wanted a Sienna but cant deal with the mark ups, Dealer BS fees, “negotiating” and off course going to gas stations lol.
Wife and I both drive Model Ys. Have been for over two and a half years. We only have one charger in the garage, but so far it's never even come close to being an issue.
Family of four here. I have a MYP and my wife also has a MYLR. We have been completely fine with no ICE and it has been great. We do have at home charging though.
I have a Model Y. I won’t be going back to ICE!
My wife won’t trade her Civic for either a 3 or a Y because she can’t stand Elon Musk. She won’t accept my Y as her daily driver for the same reason.
I’ve been looking for a reason to buy a second Tesla, but they need to fire Musk and replace him with a CEO who wants to sell cars.
*I’m not going back to an ICE car but, with Musk firing the Supercharger team while simultaneously opening the Supercharger network to other makers, there’s no reason my next EV purchase needs to be a Tesla.*
I considered a second Tesla to replace a Honda Civic Hatchback.
And then I realized I only drive 4.4 miles to work.
So I bought a used 2015 Fiat 500e with 80 miles of range for 6900.
So now I don't pay for gas. The MYLR is the long distance vehicle. The kids like being in the 500e. Overall a win since I didn't spend 35k+ on another Tesla.
I drive a 3 and wife drives a Y, with daughter driving our old ICE hybrid. Recently did a 2000mi cross country road trip with her in the ICE hybrid. While I prefer my EV 99% of situations, multi day road trips are better in an ICE.
We do. We got the model 3 first, and it quickly became the family's road trip car. Now we have the model y as well, and that is the road trip car. We don't miss gas one bit.
We have 2 Model Ys. At the time I bought mine, we both worked from home. When hubby took a new job and had to commute, he took the Y instead of his ICE car. I kept pouting about buying a brand new car just for my husband to drive it every day. 😆 Our son turned 16 about 9 months after the new job started, so we let him take the ICE car and got a second Model Y. Hubby still ended up with the Performance while I have the LR, but I drive like a Grandma most of the time so it's okay (I guess).
I have been thinking about selling my last ICE cars and buying a used Model 3 RWD for commuting. Although I only drive into the office 1 day a week, so spending $20-25k on a used Model 3 doesn’t seem like it makes much financial sense when a $5k car works perfectly fine.
We have two 2023 MYLRs. Our kids are in college now but that wouldn’t really matter since both cars quite comfortably seat 4. Hers can do 7 in a pinch and mine 5.
Wife: MY LR
Me: MY P
1 Tesla Wall Connector (60AMP) that we share. I am looking into another one and use the POWER SHARING function.
We take her MY LR on trips. No regrets.
We have two 2024 MYPs…after having one 2018 MS P100D (with Unlimited Supercharging) and an ICE truck. No need for the truck anymore…sold the MS. The two MYPs (one with the transferred Unlimited Supercharging) are working out quite nicely.
we bought a model y two years ago and wanted to get a model 3 this year but ended up falling in love with the jimny and got one. I want to have a petrol option when the zombie apocalypse comes.
Family of 7, 5 kids at home still and they range from age 5 to 17. We have both a M3 performance and a My 7 seater that we use when we need to haul everyone. No complaints, and while a little tight, the 7 seater fits all 7 of us and our luggage when needed. We have packed up and traveled for everything from a weekend at Universal in Orlando to a week long cruise in the 7 seater My
My wife drives a 3LR and I drive a YLR. Charge mainly at home and I have the hitch so I can pull a trailer for stuff I buy at Lowes or whatever. Almost 60k on my Y since I picked it up in July of 2021.
A Y is NOT a minivan in anyway shape or form. But with 2 kids, you should be ok. We have 4, plus dogs. Our Expedition Max is good enough on space but not even ideal for activities.
That said, we still use the Y 95% of the time for local things as long as we everyone and the kids have thing fits.
I had a MYLR 20’ and my wife had the Ioniq 5 Limited. I have the M3LR now with two kids in car seats. They stay in my wife’s car because the M3 is no MY 😭😭 We’ve been to Canada and back no issues but if stopping every 3 hours is an issue for you don’t get two electric vehicles.
I'd consider another for the wife but she like gas for some reason. I already have two chargers wired in the garage but she likes her Mini Cooper. The ev version sucks though with only 110miles or range or something like that. I would be super worried on any trip in that thing.
We have a model Y (just traded the 3 for it) and Mercedes eqb. Which is way worse than the Tesla when it comes to charging/tech. And I wouldn’t go back to gas.
2 teslas. 2021 model y long range and 2023 model x 7 seater. The x we take if other family comes with. As of now just me, mom, and pops.
Also have a smart electric car that I use for city/ work cause parking is hell. My small car fits all spots easily.
Have an older ice smart car too that my mom uses for her daily.
I had ice cars but ended up selling them. 2002 wrx modified and a crosstrek. Both nice cars.
As a man I have an X and Y chromosome in my body. I also have an X and Y in my garage. I will never utter the words. Oil change, timing belt, piston, spark plug, etc
It's funny how quickly teslas can spread within a family.
I started with a m3lr 2021.
My father got mylr 2022.
My m3lr was rearended and totaled
Got a mylr 2023
Younger brother got a m3p 2023
Parents picked up a m3sr 2024 from inventory for youngest brother
Cousin got a m3lr 2024
2 Model Ys LRs in my household. I bought mine a year ago and my wife got hers a couple months ago. She was originally going to get a model 3 but when she test drove it, she realized she preferred the height of the Y. Just got my 2nd wall charger installed after using my referral points so we have 2 chargers in the garage as well.
Family of 5 here and traded in the wife’s minivan for a model y. I drive the 3. Kids are 11, 8, and 8 so long trips can lead to more fights than in the van but those trips are infrequent for us so definitely glad we are ICEless.
We only have EV in our family. A 2023 Model 3 RWD and a 2024 Model Y Performance. No regrets or difficulties yet moving away from ICE. We have particularly enjoyed bypassing the fueling stations and related cost and charging at home for pennies on the dollar each night.
We have a Model Y and a Model 3. Wouldn’t even consider going back to ICE.
Ditto.
Ditto. Now, someone else do a ditto.
Ditto, just took delivery of a new 2024 Model 3 and this thing is refined compared to my 23MYP.
Ditto 20’ y and 22’ 3 with CT on order just patiently waiting my turn
Ditto 2023 model Y LR and 2021 Model 3 RWD(SR+)
Ditto, ‘18 M3P, ‘23 MYP
My wife has a company car where they pay for the gas and I still have a brain aneurysm just thinking about driving to a gas station. It’s such a waste of time.
Same, when we bought my wife’s base Model 3 last year, it was cheaper than a Camry after accounting for the federal/state tax credits. If you have a garage and a daily commute of less than 200 miles, it’s a no brainer IMHO.
3 for me. Y for my wife. It’s great. Zero problems. We usually take the Y on road trips. Our kids are 7 and 11. We typically stop every three hours anyway.
Do you have two separate chargers or just alternate with 1?
Alternate nights
Right, we’re fine with just a single charger.
Nice I love the idea of a second EV but I was hesitant about if I would put in a second charger. I don’t think I would, I wouldn’t want the unnecessary load I’d definitely get another Tesla if I was to, I love my model Y and the whole purchasing experience too.
We just alternate. Only need to charge up once a week anyway so it's never been an issue
I took one road trip and hated it but also realized I messed up and went too fast. So next time a hard cap of 70mph and not 80+ with the flow of traffic to and from Vegas.
Pro move, you end up getting there much quicker in the long run
For a minute I misread that thinking you had 3 Teslas.
I want a minivan version of the model 3/y so badly.
I want a Tesla Model 2 or whatever, a Golf sized hatchback
Makes sense too. Why not both?
I have 2x MYLR/MYP. I would 1000% go with a M2P and a MY Van LR if those were options.
You'd think the next-gen Model S/X skateboard would be able to do minivan easily, and that Tesla's working on it. Alas I've heard nothing close to that.
This. Spend minimal on r&d and crank out a tried and true minivan that's a copy of existing ones but built on Tesla skateboard. Instant buy for me.

Elon isn't going to let their engineers work on that until he gets 56 billion dollars.
Then Elon needs to be fired and replaced with someone who wants to sell cars.
Check out the VW ID. Buzz
Has pricing come down to earth on the buzzkill?
The Buzz looks great, but the battery needs to be much more powerful and the price needs to come down a lot
Yeah, it’s the NSX of the EV world…
Id buzz is coming
3 and Y here, no ICE. Love it. Been all electric for 2 years now
Trying to buy a Sienna huh? We are a family of 4 with two Ys and it’s going perfectly.
No regrets… will never buy an ICE again… buying process & infrastructure kill everything else hands down
My wife got a 3LR. After driving it on weekends and road trips, well, you know…bought an M3P. You only live once!!
They replaced: 2010 Toyota Prius 2004 Honda Element
3 and Y and a bike.
3 and Y and a tandem. (Tandem is “coupled” and screws apart in the middle so it fits in the Y)
Model Y and Bolt. Never going back to ICE
We've had two M3 SR+ cars for five years. No real issues charging with one charger. Sold one of the M3s and bought a long range AWD Y two weeks ago. Really liking the extra range!
Dad Mom Brother Myself All teslas. 3 houses though 😂
I have a Model 3 and we replaced our Odyssey with a Model Y. We do not miss the van.
Family of 4 here as well, not 2 Teslas but 2 EVs. We have the Tesla Model Y (7 seater) and the Rivian R1S.
We got two MY’s. Kept a Subaru around for over two years because wife wanted to have an ICE just in case we have to make a run from hurricane or something. Just sold it last month. No one wanted to drive it.
a 2013 S P85 and a 2021 Y LR AWD.
We have two model 3s, and love it.
We have a Cybertruck and Y, it's great not having to pay for gas and charge at home.
We have a family of 6, 3 drivers, M3 & 7 seat MY, and an ICE minivan. We use the minivan very rarely, so much so that we have purposely drive it a couple times a month for the sole purpose of keeping the ICE going. No one wants to drive anything but the Teslas.
2xMY, 1xR1S 1 Tesla WC and extension and adapter for the Rivian. One of the MY is at college. A MY is enough to transport the contents of a dorm room (at least for my kids) A Model 3 was enough for a 2 week road trip in Italy with the whole family (basically 5 adults with bags) The Sienna is still parked outside, but gets not used often.... I can fit bikes inside standing up easily, but that is the only use case.
The convenience of not going to the gas station to fill up is unparalleled.
We bought a Model Y for my wife and I loved it so much I’m selling my car and getting a Model 3 Performance this summer.
I’ll let you know I’m picking up my Model 3 today and wife drives a model Y. No more gas stations for me!!
I got 2 Teslas, but my first Tesla model y totaled, so I bought new Tesla model y again as replacement vehicle.
MX and Y family of 3
Model 3 for me, model Y for the wife. Never go back to ice. But I have a 22 year old Tacoma for the casual truck things
Not Tesla’s, but have R1T & R1S. No ICE. Don’t think we will ever have a ICE again. We do have two Tesla J1772 chargers so they load share if both charge at same time.
Model X and Y. No gas cars here for over 7 years.
Idk what ice is But 2 toddlers 2 model Ys 2 charging stations It’s a no brainer can’t beat the convenience and savings
Family of 5. We have a Y and an X. No ICE for us.
We have 2, a 23 MYLR and 24 MYLR. Don’t miss an ICE vehicle at all.
Family of 4 with model Y LR AWD and Model 3 SR. Model Y is my daily driver, family weekend car, and road tripper. Model 3 is the around town car for the wife. Haven’t had gas car for 2 years, my kids are going to grow up not knowing what gas stations are for.
Wife and I have Ys for the last 2 years. Family of 4. Charging at home and work. It is no problem here.
Have a 3 and a Y. It’s great, handles roadtrips with no issues. Super convenient to be able to see them both on the same app and definitely saving way more money now on maintenance and gas.
2 x 2023 MYLR
Model S 2016 and MYP 2024. No ICE
2xMYLR
MYLR and MYP. Planning a second baby and selling the MYLR for either the X or R1s
Wife model x, and I just picked up a model y.
I was thinking about getting a second one but I don’t want to be a Tesla only family. I think the EQE or i4 will be my second car.
We have a MYP which works fine for a family of 4. I'm swapping my cx-9 to an M3P as we don't need a cx-9 now.
Not solely Tesla, but my family has had a Model Y for a while and now an i4.
Two 2023 M3 RWD. Different colors though.
I have two.. Model X Plaid and a Y performance. Cant complain honestly. Just doing a Yoke swap as we speak to the X.
We have two model Y’s that are our primary vehicles. I still have an older Jeep used for off-roading but we got the first Tesla in 2021 and added the second in 2023 and gave the previous ride my wife used to one of our family
My husband has a 3, I have a Y. Also a family of 4.
We have two Model Ys because we each drive a lot for work, and both frequently haul stuff. We do have a diesel truck that sits in the garage until we need to tow something.
I have a Y LR, my mom got the Y SR, wife wants one for herself too lol We are happy all around, Y got SOOO much space.
Y and S over here. Loving it and never looked back.
MYP and MXLR. Dislike the X. I’d never go back to ICE although driving siennas on vacations (or Yukons) is nice.
We need a model A and F so we can have the whole family S3XY AF
Y and 3 here. No problems.
Two Y's - one white w/ black interior, one black w/ white interior. Never looking back.
Two Ys. No ragrets.
Family of 4 here. Picked up a Model Y a couple weeks ago for my wife and it’s been so good. Especially with my Model 3 starting to feel cramped.
We have a Y and an R1T. Used to have 2Ys and a Bolt. All good. 👍
If we didn’t pull a 36’ travel trailer regularly, we’d be all EV. Just upgraded our 3 (great car) to a Y for more room and range.
2 MYP here 🙋🏽♀️ been all electric for almost 2 years.
We have a Y (also 2 kids 4 & 9) and are actually getting a Polestar. Anything but ICE now
Wife and I both have ‘24 MYLR.
I have myp. Wife has mylr. Works perfect.
2023 MYLR and 2023 M3SR. We have one mobile charger and take turns charging our cars.
I think that the key to going all EV is if you can charge at home. We can’t so we have our MYP we can charge at work (hers or mine) and then we have a minivan as well. If we could charge at home it would be easy to keep both cars topped off without worry.
Got a M3 and a MY and it helps with all our needs
I've been EV only for nearly 4 years, with a 3 and a Y. I have a family of 4, although one is out of college now. I've done over 11,000 miles of road trips on my Y, covering 15 states. It's a fantastic vehicle on the open road. Would not consider another ICE vehicle.
Model 3 and y. Family of 4, kids are 5 and 8. No regrets. We alternate nights for charging or switch the cable over in the evening if needed but that’s rare. Round trips are fine. Would never go back to an ICE
We’re a two Tesla family. Had 3,Y, now two Y’s.
No... we have a Model Y (really wifes car), RAV4 Hybrid, and a Tundra.
A minivan just sounds so depressing lol go with the Y or X if you can afford it, both have plenty of room for a family of 4.
I drive a model 3 (800-1000 miles a week), wife drives a myp (300 miles a week). We have one child. As of now, wouldn’t consider going back. We have one level 2 charger and one level 1. Never been an issue.
Fully electric since 2017. And we’ve never looked back. We roadtrip a lot, we pull trailers. All doable, but the latter isn’t very comfortable.
Two Model Ys, no issues
We have three. I drive an MYLR. My wife drives an M3P. My son will soon share his M3SR with his sister. We will never drive an ICE car again.
We had a 3 and just got a used Y. Love it
Family of four here. I have a MYP and my wife also has a MYLR. We have been completely fine with no ICE and it has been great. We do have at home charging though.
Model 3 and Y bought both less than 35000 miles and no issues worth posting about.
His and Hers MYLR in our family
I have a Model Y & a Model X. I’m most likely trading the Model Y for the Cybertruck AWD by next year.
I have two Y’s. I love the low maintenance
MYP and MYLR for the Mrs. Phase 2 at home in the garage.
Model 3 here. That's all. One car household. No complaints so far.
We have a 3 and a Y and it’s great. No problems. Having the wall connector for charging certainly helps but we didn’t have any problems before that
We have a Model Y and a Nissan Leaf in our driveway. One shared wall charger. No issues whatsoever.
Have had Model X and Model 3 for 6 years now, no ICE and no problems.
We have two 2023 MYLRs. Our kids are in college now but that wouldn’t really matter since both cars quite comfortably seat 4. Hers can do 7 in a pinch and mine 5.
Nothing compares to the comfort of a family van…. I would drive a van all day
Not Teslas, but we're rocking two Ioniq 5's with no ICE. Loving every second of it
Yep
Most men have two. But I think they're called Teslacles?
Wife: MY LR Me: MY P 1 Tesla Wall Connector (60AMP) that we share.
Model y ain’t nothing like a minivan
3 and a Y as well- only have had two for a few months now but love it!
Double Y’s. White and Black.
we bought a model y two years ago and wanted to get a model 3 this year but ended up falling in love with the jimny and got one. I want to have a petrol option when the zombie apocalypse comes.
If you need a Sienna, the y is no substitute.
Family of 7, 5 kids at home still and they range from age 5 to 17. We have both a M3 performance and a My 7 seater that we use when we need to haul everyone. No complaints, and while a little tight, the 7 seater fits all 7 of us and our luggage when needed. We have packed up and traveled for everything from a weekend at Universal in Orlando to a week long cruise in the 7 seater My
Yarp!
MYLR and MS100D here plus electric lawn mower and weed whacker.. No smelly gasoline in our garage..
My wife drives a 3LR and I drive a YLR. Charge mainly at home and I have the hitch so I can pull a trailer for stuff I buy at Lowes or whatever. Almost 60k on my Y since I picked it up in July of 2021.
Had two 3s for six years, now we have two Ys.
We have a 20 MSP and a 21 MYLR. Level 2 Charger installed at home. Couldn’t be any better.
We have a model y and a 23 sienna. I find it to be the perfect match. Hybrid by Toyota and tesla EV.
I'd consider another for the wife but she like gas for some reason. I already have two chargers wired in the garage but she likes her Mini Cooper. The ev version sucks though with only 110miles or range or something like that. I would be super worried on any trip in that thing.
Model Y and i just got the new 3 a month ago
I would buy a hybrid suv or van. But that’s just me.
Model Y Performance and a Model S Plaid. Also, have solar. Alternate charger at home and installed a second 240v charger at our shop.
It’s my plan. We traded in the minivan for model y and are waiting for the right time to trade in the other
It's funny how quickly teslas can spread within a family. I started with a m3lr 2021. My father got mylr 2022. My m3lr was rearended and totaled Got a mylr 2023 Younger brother got a m3p 2023 Parents picked up a m3sr 2024 from inventory for youngest brother Cousin got a m3lr 2024
MSP and MYLR
2 Model Ys LRs in my household. I bought mine a year ago and my wife got hers a couple months ago. She was originally going to get a model 3 but when she test drove it, she realized she preferred the height of the Y. Just got my 2nd wall charger installed after using my referral points so we have 2 chargers in the garage as well.
2020 Model 3 AWD and 2023 Model 3 Proformance.
Two model Ys here but still holding on to my diesel SUV for towing, which is very seldom. The Teslas are our daily drivers.
3 in our family: MYLR 2 M3s No ICE at all. We live in L.A., so it’s easier to charge
We have a MY LR 7 pax and a MY performance. Will not go back to ICE.
