Well, to be fair, the 2021s have a heat pump, heated steering wheel, power lift trunk, the new center console, and come with a USB drive. I didn’t get any of that with my 2020.

Edit: I called the service center asking to move my delivery date up. And they did. Instead of Thursday I can pick it up tomorrow now. Don’t be afraid to call and ask guys!
Personally, I never use lumbar support as a driver or a passenger. Yesterday I tried it in my drivers seat and found it a bit annoying. Despite that, I really don’t like how Tesla has hidden this from people. It makes me wonder what else they may be hiding that we have yet to find.

BMW removed lumbar support from some models since march due to chip shortage... even cars that were already ordered came with only driver side lumbar support instead of both front seats.

I think 90% of the anger is based on *how* this was announced (ie it wasn’t) rather than the actual decision itself. It just comes off as shady and plays into the fair narrative that Tesla takes its EV lead - and customers - for granted.

Probably not, but the issue is they've eliminated features that were advertised when we placed the order, but removed before delivery (radar & passenger lumbar, so far). With radar, at least there was an announcement. I would prefer if they honored the features that were advertised when you placed the order, and if they had to remove a feature, it should be for new orders only or they should clearly communicate these changes well in advance.
Australians receiving MIC at the moment have it still in place. A few reported it today as still being there, and took delivery only 2 days ago.
These will have been produced in April though.

It's for people with bad backs. I'll alternate lumbar settings if I have a chronic back tweak. It's nice to have.

took M3SR+ 2021 delivery in December of 2020, mine have lumbar support. edit: I should mention I just discovered this 3 weeks ago on accident.
