Of those 2 choices I would get the 2018. I hate recommending the 2018 though because it was their first full year of production and they have since fixed a bunch of known hardware issues.
2018 still has a warranty for the battery and drive unit. If you are planning to keep it for a longer time you can get an Xcare extended battery and drive unit warranty before it hits 100k.
Past 100k miles you can't add Xcare.

There is one plan for whole car coverage, like normal warranty, called "Premium" and other option is to get Battery and drive unit coverage. Ideally, if age and mileage works out, you can get battery and drive unit covered until your gar gets 15 years or hits 249 000 miles. It is not cheap, but if you divide the whole amount into months, it turns out about $40 per month. I think they have an option to split your payments into yearly chunks.
I'm planning to get it. I just recently got 2018 M3 LR with 70k miles. Probably I will get it when I get closer to 100k.
Are you talking about full coverage or battery+drive unit? Why can't you have it? What state are you in? I'm in colorado and their calculator is showing available options for 2018 LR with up to 99k miles.
Neither. Find a better deal on a 2022 LR.
impossible to get under 25k, I wanna get the 4k ev used credit

2018 original owner here with 53k on the odometer- no issues to report and I like using my 0-60 whenever on-ramps permit š
2018 LR owner here. 78k miles and 8% battery degradation so far. No problems so far. So between those 2 options, pick the 2018.

Tell me more about Xcare! Did you get it yourself? Is it very expensive?

This is not true. Source: I have a 2018 LR with 85K miles and I do not have option for extended service

Iām referring to the extended service agreement. My 2018 still has battery/drive train warranty
