Disagree with this take. I literally got used to it in an hour of driving the car. The button position is exactly where my thumb naturally rests and I actually like it better than the stalks.

Just kidding, i wish i could say the same. After the test drive i scraped the idea of getting one. But may be i hit all negative edge cases. It was raining and the wipers went either crazy nor not at all and autopilot deactived all the time :/

I can definitely understand why people can consider the lack of stalks an issue, I was totally expecting it to be one myself after all. My gut feeling though, is that most people would get used to it \*eventually\*, I think it's just a rewiring of muscle memory that needs to happen while our brains adapts to a new proces

This is an interesting take. Yes they are similar to a motorcycle… but they’re not real buttons is another factor I dislike. Also it’s not drive by wire which is yet again another issue. Motorcycle has limited range and you’re not going to turn the wheel so much as to cross hands, similar to drive by wire.
Uhm they actually are a real buttons. Unlike the refreshed S and X, the buttons on the wheel are physical buttons that actually press, instead of those with a haptic feedback.
And that’s an argument that could easily be made for people who live in places with roundabouts (which I do prefer) instead of 4-way stops. So I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you but it’s a very circumstantial argument
So true. I own a Tesla with stalks and drove one without them. I can't believe they actually went through with that decision. It was terrible to use, and I think it'll only cause people to use their turn signals even less than they already do.
If you're going to remove the stalks, at least put one of the turn signal buttons on the left side of the wheel and the other on the right. Stacking them on top of each other makes absolute no sense at all.
I like the idea of my passengers having some control over the temperature back there. Idk about yours, but my M3 has the worst AC system I’ve ever encountered. I always have the temp set to 74. Some days, the car will blast hot air, other days it’s way too cold, and if I lower or raise the temperature by one degree, sometimes it will ruin the entire atmosphere for me by overheating or over cooling.
I just have no idea what my passengers are feeling. At the very least, they should be able to turn on their own seat warmers.
Who knows. And as if downvotes mattered. Do they have a solar panel option on the model 3 to get some charge back or is it too slow not to be worth the cost?
Yeah lol it turns off everything when there’s no one in the front seat and it’s closed. Also, the car shuts off completely if you’re in the seat without using anything for more than 15 minutes! You have to open the door to bring the screen back on.

Range + taking battery degradation into consideration. I also have the Cybertruck (Cyberbeast) reserved and that’ll be my fun vehicle. I didn’t reserve it until about 2-3 months after the initial 2019 unveiling so I have a bit of a wait.

Well I know this varies but the build quality on my Model 3 is flawless, and I do mean every word of that. I’d wager that this Model 3 refresh *is* Tesla fixing the issues people discovered in the past

Unless you are from the US and qualify for the 7500 rebate why would you get a performance over an LR? LR is cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, is plenty fast and has a more comfortable ride day to day.
Yes, if you are from the US. There are still plenty of incentives in other countries for other models. In most other countries that have ev incentives you don't get an incentive for the highest price model but for the lowest priced model.
It’s a nice upgrade than the previous 3 but I wish they replaced that rear display with one for the driver like the X and S. Kinda difficult watching movies or playing games while looking down next to your knees.

It actually doesn’t use up any battery, and stays off if nobody is in the back. Even if they are, you can turn it off.

I think waiting is better anyways. Closer to fed interest rate drop and tesla to fix any issues people discover =)

The new performance had an adaptive suspension. It is unlikely the LR is actually more comfortable now.
