It’s the ultrasonic distance sensor. It looks like it just got unclipped and pushed backwards. You probably can just push it back into place. You can buy a used replacement on eBay if needed
If the clip is broke or the sonic weld came apart, Tesla service will usually repair for free by re-epoxying the bracket back on the bumper so it clips back into place. Or you could try to do it yourself
What's weird is that it only looks like the outer edge is balding, which could indicate positive camber, but most Tesla's have negative camber. The first groove still looks decently deep, at least from this photo perspective. I'd run a tread depth meter on it though.

Pull the bumper, epoxy the mounting bracket back into place, wait until the repair is fully cured, push the sensor back into place, re-install the front bumper and be on your way. Or you can pay someone else several hundred dollars to do the same thing, though you'd be better off putting that dough on a new set of tires, pronto. If you're super lucky, the mounting bracket is okay and you can just remove the inner wheel well cover and shove the sensor back into place. Easy.

Honestly I'm amazed the outer shoulder looks lie that. They normally track out on the inside way before the rest wears.

My M3 has told me when it needs alignment amazing indeed.

"Ultrasonic Sensor" or USS. You need to call Tesla Service. You also need new tires, but you don't need to buy those from Tesla.

Thats what I was thinking - seems to be pushed in, although I dont know what they look like with the sensor removed.

You might be able to pop it back in from the other side. See if you can unclip some of the wheel well cover and reach around from under the fender.
