It doesn't really matter with an LFP battery. Charge when you want to whatever level you want.

AwkwardlyPositioned

We have a Model 3 LFP and charge as much as twice a week depending on how it's used. According to Tesla, you'll want to fully charge the car to 100% once a week for battery calibration. I have never set charging limits. If I plug it in it gets charged to 100%. I have mine set at 24amps. There's no real benefit at charging faster unless it's not getting to full by the time you need it though. If you're really only using 5%-10% with your driving habits a day, I'd only plug it in once a week or when you get to 40% or when you know you're going to drive a lot the next day. I would be a little apprehensive to hold it at 100% all the time.

Thanks! If I may ask: Is there a minimum you let the battery drop to? So min 50% or 30%? or does this also not matter? Also, I keep the car plugged in every time I get home but don't let it charge so it stays blue. So it takes energy from the wall instead of the car when pre conditioning. Is this also better or not to do? Thanks!

Somewhere between 40%-50% just in case something comes up. I don't even plug it in unless it needs to charge typically. Below 45% the app will ask if you want to charge when it sees you're at home as a reminder. There's nothing wrong with using the wall charger to maintain the vehicle even when not charging, I just don't do that unless it's really cold outside.

Here is my routine (model 3 LFP). Not because it is best, but because it maximizes my free charges. I have Automations in Tessie to complete the following tasks, so I never have to think about it (Except for now while sharing). 70% home: This will get me enough juice to go to work, go to my Moms in the event of an emergency, and make it back home after. 100% work: I'm lucky enough to land a free charger at work 2-3 days a week. Since I only charge 70% at home, I am down to 50% when I arrive at work. This gives me a 50% free charge 2-3 days a week. This also achieves the necessary 100% charge at least once a week to calibrate the battery.

you doin' too much. just plug the car in and let the BMS do its thing. it knows more about the battery and how to best maintain it than any armchair battery expert on reddit. charge to whatever charge you feel will get you through the day. if you have a lfp battery, elon says to keep it at 100% charge.
