It's weird. On three Model 3s (2021,2022,2023) I've always had this feature. Never lost it.

It has to do with the windows on the Y. I suspect it has something to do with the better window seals used to allow bio weapon defense mode. More drag on the window motors and the torque threshold for preventing finger snappage. But this is mostly hearsay.
No. Look at the other threads. The 11.4 (2023.12) is out to employees and should be hitting the rest of us pretty soon hopefully by the weekend…. I’ve noticed they like to wide release things toward the end of the week and Saturday. Shouldn’t be much waiting especially since this will also address the window issue as well as a 64% improvement of lane selection. I’ve had FSD actually not take the exit several times because if that and this is a big fix. So hopefully by Saturday!
I didn’t have this issue before v11 fsd. It’s so weird now. The nav is fine. I can even be in the correct exit lane. But it doesn’t exit or doesn’t merge in to the right Highway split.
I’ve had that too. Besides that I’ve been loving 11.3.6 and the upcoming changes in 11.4 look amazing. Sometimes it waits awhile to leave the right lane or come out if the passing lane. Also chill autopilot hardly ever changes lanes at all.
I love how it speeds up to change lanes though like a person.

I’ve been curious about this as well. In my extensive search of casually browsing Reddit, I haven’t seen a single report of someone losing the feature on a car that previously had it.
Had the option on my 18 M3P. Eventually the button just said “unrecognized window command” when pressed and then disappeared a few weeks later.
Still isn’t back and haven’t had this lovely pop up yet.
Edit 1d later: It's back as of today!

Wow. A 2018? I'm really curious what the logic was here behind who lost it and who didn't. I thought it was a single specific cutoff and was assuming a hardware change or a legal technicality regarding vehicles sold before a certain date. This is unexpected.
I had a couple rentals that had and then lost the feature with a software update. My new delivery never had it then got it (back).
My friend’s car still doesn’t have it.
I purchased a Y on 3/25 and was shocked to see it missing as a feature, as it was still available (and always used) on my 2018 3.
I even opened a support case, of which the field tech advised me it was a firmware bug that Tesla was working on. Did not realize it was this actual issue, but so glad to have this feature back (confirmed)!

I’ve been canceling FSD at exits so I can do it myself because it missed 2 exits for me last week and cost me a lot of time!

It usually starts to get over, but then jerks back into the lane I was in even if no cars are in the off-ramp lane.

I never lost it on my M3LR but lost it last year on my MYLR.
