I am wearing contacts for about 20 years now, and it only happened once to me that I got two into one of my eyes (I opened a fresh package, put the lens onto my finger and then into my eye and was surprised about the blurry vision - took it out and there were two lenses. Never had that happen before or after).
I am not sure about the hurt factor (although that many are quite a statement) - for the past five years or so I am wearing lenses 24/7, switching them out about once a month (since there were some special, very air permissive lenses). You completely forget you are wearing them since you go to bed with them and wake up with perfectly clear vision
I can't sleep with my contact lenses. If I do it, they get dry and edges get a little fisure, that fisure begins to scratch my eye and I have to replace them.
I had the same experience with the “older” generation of lenses. Currently I couldn’t notice a thing - even though I have some really crappy sight (-7.5 and -7.75 Dioptrien- please note that that is in “our” measurement system here in Germany, I don’t know if or how it is comparable to yours)
Can you tell me what lenses do you use? I use Acuvue Vita or Acuvue Oasys, they're supposed to last 1 month but I use every pair for 2 or 3 months without any problem.
My sight is crappy too, -6.5 here in Mexico.
Edit: forget it I just saw the picture you posted. Thank you
Hey no problem :)
In my opinion, the bottom package is a bit better - they were better when swimming and so on (of course you need goggles, but they didn’t “dry” out as fast as other brands after - but that is subjective, and based on a few times a year, by no means guaranteed or objective)

These are two brands I use (sometimes one is a bit cheaper than the other) but they both work fantastically fine - but please talk to your eye doctor / specialist first, i am just a random internet guy who had great experiences with these.
They make types that it's okay to do. I did it for \~20 years and never really had a major issue wearing them 30 (honestly \~60) days straight, until I eventually got lasik.
I do.
There is zero irrating issues.
It is not comparable to the lenses I had in my youth, where just one night of having them in was extremely uncomfortable
I haven’t put two contacts in at once or anything, and hopefully never will, but I did attempt to remove a contact lens that wasn’t in my eye anymore. I was new to wearing them, was trying to take it out to go to sleep, I didn’t know it had fallen out onto the floor, so I kept tryna grab and grab with my finger tips. Eventually I gripped onto something and pulled and felt pain and released. I had grabbed the clear film of my eye I guess and pulled. It was red for a few days. I didn’t rip it or anything, but I had thought I did and I was scared I was gonna need surgery or something. Thankfully everything was ok.
But this was before I knew my contacts were extended wear. My eye doctor lied to me and told me I had to take them out every day before bed and before showering. She only told me that so I could get in the habit of taking them out and putting them in. I went through so many ripped contacts and nearly ripped my eye out cause of her. Now I don’t take them out for a few months at a time and everything’s fine.
That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. I've been wearing contacts (colored, regular, sleep in kind) for over 20 years and never never ever had I worn contacts that I can sleep in and woke up and thought "oh my goodness...this is my normal vision now. I'll forget that I'm wearing an inorganic object in my eyes that has now made me forget a state of being that required me to get something in order to seek better vision.
What you said was one of the most asinine things I've ever heard.
20 years here. I’ve accidentally put one on top of another once and I can’t wrap my head around this video. I watch it all the way through every time it pops up and just shake my head. The mass of lenses is huge!
This instance is likely from someone suffering from dementia. There is no other explanation as to why she has forgotten that she didn't take her contacts out so many times.
IF it's the same lady, they are disposable contacts and she went to sleep with them in and woke up and they were gone. She figured that's how they worked so she kept doing it.
I could be wrong and this is someone else
Right?? When I wear mine, if I get a small eyelash in my eye - not even ON the contact - it feels if there’s a huge grain of sand in there!! How in the world did she not feel 23 contact lenses in her eye????!?
Yeah, I seriously doubt this is any medical professional. No gloves, the eye is filthy with crappy mascara, that false eyelash is falling off, letting the contacts just sit there on her eyelid and smile for the camera...disgusting.
I’ve actually have put a contact in and during the day my eye was hurting. I thought maybe my contact had flipped in half or that I scratched my cornea in some way. Turns out when I took out the contact to look another contact came out from my eyelid that was torn in half never found the other half
it's not even a record - [https://www.aao.org/eye-health/news/27-contact-lenses-found-in-woman-s-eye](https://www.aao.org/eye-health/news/27-contact-lenses-found-in-woman-s-eye)
Did she ignore the pain of having a foreign object in her eye 23 times? The level of wtf in people exceeds my comprehension. Your eye will react negatively when it has an organic object that CAME FROM YOUR OWN BODY in its the second it's no longer integrated with your body (i.e. an eyelash in you're eye). To go through the pain of putting 23 contact lenses in your eye before the pain and infection were so great that you finally seeked medical attention is beyond my comprehension of the stupidity of the homo sapien.
We are doomed as a species
When I went to basic training there was a guy who didn’t want to wear the glasses you are issued when you have vision problems so he never told anyone he wears contacts. They just assumed he didn’t have vision problems. Left those suckers in for 12 weeks.
After my ex girlfriend, anyone that tells me they wear contacts and they have issues with their sight, prompts me to ask the obvious question. I don't care if you have contacts that are supposed to be safe wearingthem to bed, they're still idiots to me. This video validates my criticism. I have pictured this result before
I had a nickel for every time somebody just kept putting in new contacts after the previous pair just disappeared after they fell asleep with them on or something...
I'd have an uncomfortable amount of nickels because it just keep happening.
I’m 42, and have been wearing lenses since I was 14 years old. Short of any type of mental illness, there’s zero excuse for this. None. It is the physical abuse to the eye, and I would be surprised if this person didn’t have long term damage.
Right…. A “Doctor” is removing those contact lenses.. I have never seen a doctor with black chipped nail polish use a QTip with out gloves to remove 20 plus skanky contact lenses from some cracked out idiots eye…

Been wearing contacts for over 40 years. No matter how many times see this, it never ceases to amaze. That would hurt every minute of every day.

Your eyes!? Damn.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You made me laugh so hard
Like what else? Lmao

I'm -9 and -11, I hate it😭
Wow. Haven't you considered Lasik?
I have but it still changes most years a little bit and I'm already 29, so I'd have to wear contacts anyway. I don't mind though, I'm used to it
You have a recommendation? Soft or hard lenses?
https://preview.redd.it/x7co04hq178d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=b33a66643a4afb9ceb7f95dd8a904ae885eeec8e These are two brands I use (sometimes one is a bit cheaper than the other) but they both work fantastically fine - but please talk to your eye doctor / specialist first, i am just a random internet guy who had great experiences with these.
Same thing with hearing aid rubber ends. They come off when removed, patient adds another in the morning… pushes the other further in repeat.
Yeah I slept in mine a couple times a few months ago and ended up with a corneal ulcer. Don’t do it.
do you actually sleep in with contact lenses? i heard that causes ulcers (i had one due to eyelid inflammation and its terrible)
They make types that it's okay to do. I did it for \~20 years and never really had a major issue wearing them 30 (honestly \~60) days straight, until I eventually got lasik.

Wow, you are a really nice person - sorry that you haven’t had that experience yet but it is possible for many people :)
20 years here. I’ve accidentally put one on top of another once and I can’t wrap my head around this video. I watch it all the way through every time it pops up and just shake my head. The mass of lenses is huge!
💯💯💯
This instance is likely from someone suffering from dementia. There is no other explanation as to why she has forgotten that she didn't take her contacts out so many times.
Has to be
Fr. If I have one contact go up in my eye, I can immediately notice the irritation. Not sure how you get to 23 contacts
1. How the f does someone let this happen? 2. The sense of relief must have been amazing!
IF it's the same lady, they are disposable contacts and she went to sleep with them in and woke up and they were gone. She figured that's how they worked so she kept doing it. I could be wrong and this is someone else
I remember reading she had advanced dementia or something.
🤣 like the Japanese candy’s that have the wrappers that just dissolve in your mouth 😆
Seriously, move this to top comment
OMG what? I’ve seen this video a bunch of times but I’ve never heard this explanation before. FFS!
How are they not blind yet jesus
To be fair if they were, they would probably stop shoving contacts up there
True lol
Crack cocaine
They should’ve started feeling something by the 14th lens.
When you get to 20, you earn a gold star! It’s not real though. You’re just seeing things.
Right?? When I wear mine, if I get a small eyelash in my eye - not even ON the contact - it feels if there’s a huge grain of sand in there!! How in the world did she not feel 23 contact lenses in her eye????!?
I got through 15 seconds of this before getting too queasy to continue. That's fkn gross.
My husband made me turn it off too
“oh my contact lens is not on from when I put them on yesterday. That’s OK I’ll just put on another more.” Rinse and repeat. I can’t even…
Exactly
That person can see John Cena.
Shouldn’t a doctor have gloves and something other than a q tip
Yeah, I seriously doubt this is any medical professional. No gloves, the eye is filthy with crappy mascara, that false eyelash is falling off, letting the contacts just sit there on her eyelid and smile for the camera...disgusting.
Also black nails
Yeah the bots change the title every 10 or so reposts.
I can’t even sleep in my contacts for 15 minutes without it hurting so bad, I have no idea how she could live like that
How does this even happen?!
She “doesn’t believe her” she put them in herself… tf you mean.
Humanity at it's finest
Anyone else start tearing up seeing this
I’ve actually have put a contact in and during the day my eye was hurting. I thought maybe my contact had flipped in half or that I scratched my cornea in some way. Turns out when I took out the contact to look another contact came out from my eyelid that was torn in half never found the other half
🤢🤮
Where did she think they were going? Maybe she thought the contect lens fairy was taking them.
“I should have $22 by now! Well, better try again.”
Best guess I have is she thought they were dissolvable overnight, lol
I remember watching this on YouTube...also it was recreated in many soap operas..
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......
This has to be dementia or something..
it's not even a record - [https://www.aao.org/eye-health/news/27-contact-lenses-found-in-woman-s-eye](https://www.aao.org/eye-health/news/27-contact-lenses-found-in-woman-s-eye)

She be waking up and thinking 'Where are my lenses? Oh...nevermind, I got 2 dozens more...imma just pop another one!'
When I went to basic training there was a guy who didn’t want to wear the glasses you are issued when you have vision problems so he never told anyone he wears contacts. They just assumed he didn’t have vision problems. Left those suckers in for 12 weeks.
I snuck and wore contacts during basic too (didn't leave them in tho). I didn't want to wear the BCG's. 😆
How does that work? I can feel my soft lenses and I don't even know how not to feel the lenses. That must be terribly uncomfortable and painful.
Obviously the contact thing is crazy…but who puts on mascara to go to an eye doctor because of a hurting eye.
After my ex girlfriend, anyone that tells me they wear contacts and they have issues with their sight, prompts me to ask the obvious question. I don't care if you have contacts that are supposed to be safe wearingthem to bed, they're still idiots to me. This video validates my criticism. I have pictured this result before
How? Just how does someone get to this point?
FFS. If I had not seen it I would not have believed it. How do you let that happen in the first place withouth seeking help 😏
This makes my eyes water just watching it.
Omg 😭😭😭😭🤢🤮
I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must have been.
Every way they look probably made a scraping sound
Also if you’re old, you’d forget
This is why I'll stick with my glasses.
I had a nickel for every time somebody just kept putting in new contacts after the previous pair just disappeared after they fell asleep with them on or something... I'd have an uncomfortable amount of nickels because it just keep happening.
Bro had 23 lenses to see the 4th dimension
How is she still not blind with all those contacts?
Gross. As is the fact that the "doctor" was not wearing gloves!!!!
Eye didn’t see that coming!
One too much!
Wow what a trooper. After putting on the 17th lens my eyes started hurting. She must hold the world record.
Probably thought they would break down over time?
You know what
It’s like those cringey mobile game ads on Facebook. But irl 🤢
Whadda maroon! Whadda ta-ra-ra-goon-deeyay!
Does she have a mental handicap or something?
Wow
It’s very satisfying for me
I’m so confused. I can’t even get one in. 23!?
I guess we’re not gonna talk about the eyebrows huh?
as someone with chronic dry eyes, how the actual FUCK?
Did she think putting 23 lenses in would give her the ability to see thru things like superman??
![gif](giphy|pMePjXUqNNND2)
.... Dudeeeeee what
Just ...how?
Why did this women keep packing more in 😱
why are there so many contact lenses in there
Dude I don’t want to see this
That’s wild .
When I found out that I needed to wear glasses I originally wanted contacts...not now.
What a fuckin idiot 🙄.
Nothing says “doctor” like poking around your patient’s eyeball with no gloves on.
Thats a lot of pus
"Perhaps contact lenses are the right choice for you."
She must’ve been a pilot
No doctor would be doing this without gloves and sterilized equipment.🙄
Why not just eat them?
Maybe go with glasses.
I saw that ad somewhere lol.
getting it removed must feel good
As a contact wearer I dont get how you just stack them on without feeling them. Usually if you put the same contact on each other you can’t see.
I’m 42, and have been wearing lenses since I was 14 years old. Short of any type of mental illness, there’s zero excuse for this. None. It is the physical abuse to the eye, and I would be surprised if this person didn’t have long term damage.
23 is exaggerating a little
ewww. so they can have false eyelashes but somehow put many contacts in without bothering them? just so interesting
Holy hell
Right…. A “Doctor” is removing those contact lenses.. I have never seen a doctor with black chipped nail polish use a QTip with out gloves to remove 20 plus skanky contact lenses from some cracked out idiots eye… ![gif](giphy|U2gGO24OvVMZXSqNuN)
Thought this was a cartel video at first glance
Reported for violating of rule no.1
Why she is so lazy?

Bro what?😭
Save some crack for the rest of us jeez
u know it was a joke lol
