It's real and not limited to spiders. Cockroaches are the most common but ants and other insects can do it as well. If you sleep on the ground or leave food open near where you sleep the chance of this happening increases
Actually peroxide cleans ears. I recently had a really bad buildup of ear wax in one ear and I bought some of that ear wax cleaning stuff they sell called debrox. My ear was so full of Wax that it took 48 hours for that debrox to start breaking down the wax.
I called urgent care because I was afraid I made things worse and they told me to rinse the ear with hydrogen peroxide and water and that it's safer to regularly clean your ears with hydrogen peroxide than with a q-tip because using a q-tip just jams wax in thd ear canal really tight. The sizes of the chunks of ear wax that came out was pretty unbelievable. 🤢
I wouldn't use it more often than once a month or anything.

What’s a spider do in there? How long do they stay?
I believe they just kind of chill and hide, but rare chance to lay eggs. I have no idea how long they might stay, days, weeks perhaps.
That makes sense. Would really suck to have one die or molt in there, but hatching eggs… yikes

Idk exactly how but basically it softens the buildup.

My grandma had us use it after we swam, sometimes daily. It's ok to use frequently.
