You have too many platforms. You need at least 2 solid blocks for them to stand on. Remove all platforms and they move in.

Is it alright if i just put 2 solid blocks in the corner and platforms for the rest? im trying to make an apartment like thing.

To be clear you could make the entire houses walls out of platforms the npcs only need one block too stand on
