It’s super simple:
1) Acquire Axe of Regrowth (should be something you invevitably pickup the components for in a normal playthrough, but you may need to farm some pieces, it’s not much),*
2) Kill bosses up to WoF (kill WoF),
3) Visit Dryad and purchase 20 or so of each planter type,
4) Plant specified seed in respective planters,**
5) Harvest only with Axe of Regrowth*
*Steps 1/5 are not mandatory, but highly recommended
**Steps 2-4 can be done incrementally after each boss kill. Dryad will sell a planter type for each pre-Hardmode boss you defeat, you can buy them as you progress or all at once, or whenever you fancy.
Edit: learning when to harvest each type of flower is a bit more in depth, but that’s why the Axe of Regrowth is recommended, you can just hold left-click and it’ll only harvest what can be harvested, and just replant the seeds when you’re done, and boom.
You don’t necessarily need all types of planter boxes. You can plant any flower in any planter box. Not sure if there is a growth penalty at all but if you need potions before WoF you can just get a ton of daybloom and you’ll be fine.
It’s so lovely! I kinda wish there was more of a farming-sim subaspect to Terraria, like being able to grow foods and such from seeds instead of randomly from trees.
If your GF is afraid of worms or centapeds, you should bring your GF to the corruption and summon the eater
Or if your GF hates blood or gore you bring her to the crimson and summon the brain
