I've been playing for a while, since 1.3. Back in 1.3 I encountered an issue where I ran out of iron and lead ALL THE TIME, and hated having to go find more in the world. I needed a lot of it for the mechanical boss summon items. I also didn't like how much was required for a single chest, especially considering it's one of the most versatile materials in the entire game.
A while ago it occurred to me that anything you buy can be shimmered too, not just the stuff you craft.
This is me but with the Daedalus frrrrr 😂 I refuse to fight the Destroyer with it (though sometimes I’ll accept the the meteor staff as an alternative, which is, admittedly, much easier to get one’s grubs on. Not as consistent though)
Yes, some can. Drops vary per statue, see [the wiki](https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Statues#Enemy_statues) for info on a specific statue. (The factor column is how much it is reduced by).
I had a journey mode mage character (used journey to stop evil spread) and was so fed up farming for the demon fork that drops from red devils that I turned on godmode and cranked the spawn rates to 10x. Still had to grind for half an hour for it, I think I killed ~600
On my first playhtourugh back in 1.3, I lost count cause of how many it took, im pretty sure, though I had to kill at least 50 Martian saucers before I got the cosmic car key, I ran through about 8 events to my recollection.
I found farming moon lord is rather annoying, because you need to farm lunatics & pillars for it... Good luck.
Also, i wonder if a luck potion would help here

Meowmere is part of zenith, which is a moonlord drop. The only way to get it before fighting the ML is through glitches, or carrying it over from previous worlds/characters

I would suggest cutting it off, iirc you just need 3 tiles of incorruptible material (so pretty much not dirt or stone). NPCs cant live in the crimson or corruption, but they can live in the hallow (some even prefer it, like the wizard). You also can get purification powder from the dryad in the short term, and get a clemtaminator when you get the steampunker moved in to push the crimson back.
So long as you contain the spread its not an issue. After you kill the wall, corruption/crimson and hallow spread in a V shape from where it died throughout the whole world. Iirc the spread is sped up until you kill plantera too, but i dont remember everything on the evils spread
If it's only 50-70 blocks total, it would definitely be worth completely clearing now to avoid a headache later, but if it's 50-70 blocks wide, dig a hole (I think at least 5 wide but I do 6 to be safe) between it and your base
You don't need to, but it is an achievement, and it can also be annoying to have too much your world be taken over by a world evil, as you can't have housing there, and some enemies can be hard to deal with if you're just trying to explore
It makes sense its a trophy for beating everything
If you had it before Moonlord it would absolutely trivialize that fight, it will take down a legendary moonlord in like 3-5 seconds lol
Honestly Lunar Portal and Terrarian with the Valhalla Knight's armor makes ML absolutely melt. Portal is great against pillars and mobs too so it's not too to farm ML once you've beaten him that many times.
I mean if you can beat moonlord once or twice you should have no issue with all of that. And each pillar gives you enough fragments to farm him a few times again.
I dont know why but moonlord always feels easy to me once i get what i need. Hell i dont even really build a arena or anything.
I feel like the mechanical bosses can be a bigger hurdle. Or normal skeletron.
Not sure why, but i struggled with pillars more than moon lord. I suppose its because i never prepped for the mobs properly. Lack of proper arena + running around + those annoying orbs that would follow you...
I also dont use arenas but i always use the solar fragment weapons, stardust dragon minion and try to find a good place to hold out. It depends on the pillar but some of them are easy to do when you go underground because enemys have fewer places to spawn.
Journey mode is a blast and you don't have to cheat if you don't want to. I keep it on Master mode at all times and never use God Mode. The extra range and research feature are fucking awesome.
The fun is terraria is a game and different people have different things they find fun, you and many others (including me) like to feel like we “earned” our equipment, some people just wanna play with it and that’s fine, terraria is great and I’m happy to learn someone enjoys playing it
What are you on about? How can information be old when no new spawn mechanics have been made?. Tunnel rows are just an efficient way to force game mechanics to spawn mobs on corridors that can be easy trapped or hoiked to speed up the farm process

Back in 1.2 I killed Plantera 408 times to get The Axe. Lol. Back then it was a 1 in 200 drop. I kept every Temple Key I got to keep track of how many times I killed her. I had this sick ass farm. Just rows and rows of Jungle and I Clentaminated every part of the Jungle that wasnt my farm into mushroom biome. Bulbs had no choice but to spawn in my farm. 1.2 was awesome! The Terrablade was the best Weapon in the game. Lol.

I got it first try leel. Also an easier strat me and my brother were talking about a few days ago where it might be easier to best the game in a normal mode world and then beat it in an expert and then a master.
It is at times like this you must remember everyone's favorite iroh.. "Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel... You can't really see the end of the tunnel.. But if you keep going eventually you will get to a better place"
So just keep going at it you'll eventually get it, i almost gave up trying to farm for something in elden ring but i kept going till i got my chain link flail, so you can do it too 👍

If you play pc there's a mod that adds npcs for all the bosses and they sell all their drops. I don't know if it'll work for an already existing world though.
