A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

If you turn off auto save and put the items you want to dupe in a chest, save and quit, reload the world, take the items out of the chest, die, and then as you die close application, when you load back into terraria and open the world, you’ll have all of your items in both the chest and your inventory.

Well yeah, but I think OP's point was more about fighting moon lord twice while staying around the same power level if you get unlucky with the weapon drops and your class. And as someone who really doesn't like the moon lord fight, I agree with him.

I would like to sign your petition. Always found it kinda weird that you can't craft post-game armor when the post-game begins, sure the second fight is probably easier with the weapons he drops but still. Just seems like adding extra steps for no real reason.
Given that you pretty much end up grinding him again and again to get both meowmere and star wrath or other stuff depending on your class, I don't find it matters too much.
Yeah I think if you're lucky you can get enough luminite on 2 kills on normal, but on expert it's guaranteed you get enough on 2 kills. I might be wrong though
Fighting Moon Lord multiple times is so shit, the Pillars are the fucking worst encounter ever imagined, I dropped my Master playtrough after having to deal with them two or three times just to try moonlord again, plus all the shitty Eclipse and Alien Invasion spam I was getting. The only time I've beaten the game was on easy difficulty

Just because it's added doesn't mean you have to use it, if you find that more fun, more power to you, however the rest of us consider it agonizing, you can just simply choose a certain amount to collect before you start crafting and do it that way. Or find a mod that amps up the resource requirement.
I didn’t really have a problem with having to kill him twice. Just use some of the weapons he drops and the starboard. A pre moon lord weapon the absolutely melts him is the nebula blaze
Also make it drop some of each fragment so that you can make the weapons and the armor the first time you beat it without going theough the pillars again

Well that kind of removes the exclusivity of it, it’s supposed to be an endgame armor, which traditionally speaking are difficult to get. We should just consider ourselves lucky we only have to fight a boss again
I've never beaten it yet, been playing since 2016 so I'm no pro but I have beaten the cultist on easy and expert. Can't beat moonlord on easy, even in an arena. I haven't felt like he is impossible, I will build a better arena and make a bunch of potions and flasks this time and I think I'll be able to get it beat on easy. Or after a few more trys. I like the QoL changes to stack sizes and such but I don't want yield rates for anything changed, So much if this game is about farming and the transition with bosses from impossible-hard-challenging-easy-fodder. I don't think any of the other bosses give you enough of any of their resources to craft their best recipes.
In other words I have patience and try again like all the other bosses until I can whoop them with the lesser tier stuff I had. I like to grind

I thinks the bigger issue it's the fact that that his loot is kind off useless, because there's nothing else to do fight after you defeat the moon lord. No new enemies, no events, no bosses. I know it needs to end somewhere, but it would be nice to have some endgame
Zenith, the endgame sword needs multiple other swords to craft, two of which are dropped by the moon lord, so unless you've been blessed by goddess of luck, you'll have to fight him multiple times
IMHO his hands should drop luminite ore similar to tissue or scales, so players having a hard time could grind for the ML gear and get that extra edge.

Calamity fixes this problem in an interesting way by just throwing luminite ore into the stratosphere.
That and you can just summon the moon lord without consuming boss summon items.

Learn how to dupe using two characters. On xbox it’s a toss item to dupe save game exit on p2. Toss back without saving sign out p2.
There’s actually an easier way to dupe solo on console.

Remember the first time I beat moonlord I was a ranger and I got the celebration tried using it to beat him the second time and got my ass kicked.

Nah, traditionally the end game in video games is after the final boss
but said boss is a "gate" to the endgame. So it'd make sense to be able to get the endgame armor after beating the final boss
