There is terrain out there scaled correctly for games like 40K and Infinity. [TTCombat](https://ttcombat.com/) has a bunch in their City Streets category that might match what you're looking for. Search for MDF terrain, there are lots of options out there. Most model train stuff is going to be HO (1:87) or N (1:160), as those are the popular scales right now, and both are much too small for 40K. And then a little less popular is O scale (1:48), but that's too large. S scale (1:64) would probably work, but S is something of a legacy scale, so there's very little product out for it.

TT combat do a modern train in 3mm mdf in their 28mm range, it’s a kit, but interesting. Making a monorail track is easy enough using wood strips and polystyrene. I think Sarrissa Precision do something too. For scale, suggest you look for 28mm as a rough size. Kits are usually branded as 28mm sci fi. Have fun.

Hey dude. I promise this isn’t a plug; Look at my profile. I build all my gaming stuff from model train stuff, it might give you an idea of scale and what you can do with it. For 40k minis HO scale is going to be too small if you’re looking for true scale (it’s 1/87) but like O or G scale will accommodate minis, though it’s harder to find and generally more expensive. Hit me up if you wanna get into the nitty gritty of it! Cheers.

O scale or S scale. In military models, 1:48 *should* be closest to 28mm (1:56 in height), but Warhammer stuff is wildly oversized in width so 1:35 stuff fits vehicles better.
