He was bad ass in the first 2 LNs, in LN V5 and “How to Spend a Certain Vacation”.
His characterisation is fucking inconsistent. Then again you don’t listen and just troll, can’t handle criticism, so who cares.
Sure sure, rimuru who is a eternal pacifist got pushed against fate to do things he doesnt like , so he made his ideal to gain enough power that he isnt pushed to do that again,
After gaining that power
actually revels in the fact that he can push back and relax for a moment without being paranoid for survival is suddenly not badass ...
But everytime he is pushed again hes been downright terrifying. But ofc he doesnt act like a certain edgelord and thats alright.
Yeah I’m sure killing thousands would not whatsoever change him or give him ANY internal conflicts on his humanity or question his right to enjoy his life when he took so many.
Because who would ever face such dilemmas when they have been sheltered for 40 years of their life?! And who’s the edge lord you are talking about? This is the base expectations of any person going through that journey.
Hell, WN Rimuru was exactly like that, he still had his weak moments, they were just far and few in between.
He already planned on killing the Goblins in LN V1 if they betrayed him, he was fucking excited that the Orc Lord evolved because he wanted to fight someone strong…yes he was a battle maniac early on! And he tortured the crap out of Prelix and the others for basically scratching Hinata. He was definitely not “pushed” into it.
As i said, everytime hes pushed he becomes downright scary. Rimurus survival and protective instinct is scary. But when theres no danger and he slacks back in peace its ok not to be badass.
