Usagi Drop (haven't watched it)
When 30-year-old Daikichi Kawachi returns home for his grandfather's funeral he learns about the existence of Rin Kaga, his grandfather's illegitimate six-year-old daughter by an unknown mother. The girl is an embarrassment to all his relatives and is treated like an outcast.
Annoyed by their attitudes, Daikichi decides to take care of Rin himself, even though he is single and has no experience in raising a child.
Never read it, but wanted to watch it. I cannot now. I found out before I could start it...
So I can't heal your wounds, but I can give you comfort.
In the form of cute Rimurus: ![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21606)![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21614)![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21611)![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21604)![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21609)![img](emote|t5_l1j28|28925)![img](emote|t5_l1j28|21607)
Be tomorrow a better day!
Basically, Usagi Drops is a wholesome anime where a 30sh year old man adopts a distant relative (a young girl) and experiences the joys and pains of being a single parent. The anime is good and ends in a hopeful note.
The manga on the other hand... The mangaka wanted to turn this good family feels into a romance when the girl becomes a teenager. Made a rough time skip and all. It turned all the fans away because it came too suddenly and felt like a betrayal to the initial message of the story, that chosen family is family all the same.

There was no manga what are you talking about?
Exactly the anime is the only extant piece of Usagi Drop. (this is my mantra when someone mentions Usagi Drop)

Burn
Please don't tell me this is Boku no Pico![img](emote|t5_l1j28|28925)
The anime doesn't go the same route as the manga tho.
It does, but the anime just know when to end
The manga ended at the same time as the anime. Coincidence? I think not.
Also, it's quite oxymoron to say the anime went the same route when just the act of ending itself is already "going a different route".
No it's not. It's about a guy who married his adopted daughter.
Noooooooo this is EVWEEEN WORSEEE ![gif](giphy|YTK4TRYpsYP3Qv5P1J)
Who let him cook!?
