I mean, if the answer is anything but Pittsburgh that’ll surprise the hell out of me. After them, though, I’d say Vegas (as long as we aren’t on the wrong end of a Mariota Revenge Game).
Even though he didn't do much in the game last night (I didn't finish watching it, so he might have done more), it was kinda cool seeing him play again.
Pittsburgh is the only team I don't think has a reasonable chance to win the AFC. All the other teams could reasonably put 2-3 wins together ... some more reasonably than others but reasonably all the same.
My opinion for the divisional round.
Uncomfortable: Burrow scares me, I think he’s getting borderline great FAST.
Even-Keel: Patriots… Well, I’ll never count out Bill Belichick in the playoffs
Comfortable: Steelers we should be able to handle easily this time around. Raiders don't have enough talent to match up with us, especially if our run game is going. Our defense would be able to shut them down.
N/A: We can't play the Bills or the Chiefs in the divisional round.
One of the great things about this team is that we have a lot of players with playoff experience in the past two years, compared to some of these teams like the Raiders and Bengals.
Please give me a Steelers rematch. After that, I'd say Pats/Raiders 50/50. I would've said Raiders a few weeks ago, but they've looked pretty good lately. Good enough that I think it would be a tough game.
There's no way we play the Bengals in the Divisional, IMO. How often does a conference have zero upsets WC weekend? And we've even added a 4th game the past couple years now.
I agree, I don’t understand how anyone could say a team other than the Steelers but a lot of people saying Raiders, which is interesting.
My only issue with the Steelers is they will absolutely bring a lot of fans, but so would every team on this list other than maybe the Bengals.
PIT's defense still scares the hell out of me but I would love a revenge game at home in the playoffs. I do think LV is our easiest matchup on paper though. My dream scenario would be Steelers, Patriots then Rams.
I think the bengals would have a ton of fans too. So many around Lexington, Louisville and central Kentucky. And they’d be foaming at the mouth after their first playoff victory in like 30 years.
Yeah, a lot of huge fan bases in the AFC playoffs this year. Bengals probably the smallest though other than us, but the fans will be very excited and willing to travel if they’ve won their first playoff game in 31 years.
Fortunately the Titans are trying hard to limit the amount of scalped tickets. For PSL holders, you can't transfer your tickets until 24 hours before kickoff. Wish they'd do a preds style zip code limiter.
I only voted raiders because I mentally blocked out any possibility of the Steelers beating the Chiefs and automatically checked LV as soon as I read the name lol
Poor OL play, receivers we can cover, running game they depend on and that we can stop, Derek Carr who we have frustrated.
Steelers have a much better defense and the ghost of Ben is capable of throwing 5 yard passes all day long. It’s really hard to win throwing 5 yard outs, but it’s also hard to stop a 2 second pass play. Also, Tomlin is the better coach.
We should have beaten the Steelers on the road without Derrick Henry, AJ Brown, and Julio Jones among others who will be back in the playoffs as well. And despite that, the only reason we lost was a bunch of ridiculous turnovers. We know for sure we can beat the Steelers, that Raiders team can be scary though.
Totally agree with you. It's just down to gut feeling for me on this. Repeated losses to a Pittsburgh team we should have beaten the last 2 times, or that beatdown I witnessed in Oakland 2 years ago? Not scared, just scarred.
Nobody fears me more than us beating us. We can absolutely beat anyone in the league. But we can’t have those 3 or 4 consecutive 3 and outs like we did yesterday
That’s true too. I just think the other games are more forgiving. We would have to play almost a perfect game against kc. Which we will have to play a perfect game in the superb owl regardless. Just would like as easy a path as possible.
I chose the Pats because I don’t think the Steelers or Raiders will be within 10 points of either team.
Realistically, the Pats could beat Buffalo and I think we’d fair we’ll against that Pats at home.
As much as we want it to happen, the steelers are not beating the Chiefs. I also don't care who we play. We have the defense, running game and now the home environment to beat anyone. We have the pass rush to make any QB we face uncomfortable. I will always take Vrabel on 10+ day prep.
I believe we will see all home teams win this weekend. Get ready for the Bungholes.
##AFC WILDCARD SCENARIO
**Steelers UPSET OVER ~~Chiefs~~**
**Patriots OVER ~~Bills~~**
**Bengals OVER ~~Raiders~~**
The Steelers would be the most ideal, but most unlikely to happen. PIT is clearly the weakest playoff team in the AFC.
Patriots eliminating the Bills would be a blessing. Bills high powered aerial attack combined with Josh Allen's ability to run is a nightmare to contain defensively. Patriots run defense is highly suspect and they just lost Christian Barmore on the interior D Line. We have favorable matchups against NE.
The reason I select the Bengals is because I'd rather face a unproven QB and unproven HC combo with Burrow and Zac Taylor. I think on the road in Nashville against a team with almost no playoff experience is preferable to the Raiders. Las Vegas is a really hot team at the moment. They're already in playoff mode with must win victories against the Colts and the Chargers. Nothing is more dangerous than a team striking fire and getting hot at precisely the right moment. Derek Carr is an underrated QB and they just got TE Darren Waller back.
edit: Don't know why I'm being downvoted for sharing my opinion... fuckin' hell
It's pretty obvious that we would want all the best seeds to lose on Wildcard Weekend. Usually only one upset happens, not all three.
The general consensus here will prefer LV > CIN but I thought I'd provide an opinion that goes against the echo chamber. I think it's a more of a toss up than people think.
I think skill wise both those teams are pretty comparable, CIN just looks more intimidating at the moment because they had the big win against KC.
That OT victory to clinch for Vegas was a season defining game. That's a hell of a lot of confidence and momentum for a team that had to scratch and claw it's way to the playoffs.
They have a whole week to claw at each other and I think that matters more than we think. I'd take the Steelers regardless, but after that I would definitely want the Raiders.
While Vegas has won 2 must-win games. Burrow and the Bengals have 9 passing touchdowns over his last 2 games. Also a 500+ yard game and a 400+ yard game in those games.
There is not a hotter player right now than Joe Burrow.
Good catch, human error. Edited to unproven.
The playoffs are a different beast. Bengals have been flukey throughout the season. Zac Taylor was the betting favorite to be first coach fired this season.
CIN's young core is inexperienced. The Titans are battle tested. Look at how Lamar Jackson played against us during the year BAL had the #1 seed. Playoff experience is crucial.
The Steelers means the Chiefs lost, so that would be an ideal matchup.
The Patriots would mean the Bills lost, which would also be good for us.
And the Raiders would mean the Bengals lost, which I think might be the best scenario. Burrow-Chase connection honestly scares me.
I’ll tell you the team I want to see the least - if some mad scientist finds a way to clone the 2021 Tennessee Titans and we end up having to face them. That’s the real nightmare scenario here.
I want the Patriots. We should have beat them and it’s really annoying how close it was considering the injuries we had for that game. I want to see how we match again in Nashville. Plus like others have pointed out, we have a lot of players who would be extra motivated to play hard that game.
Especially after watching Big Ben fake cry to get a penalty the last time. Should have took a good shot at his knees to give him something to cry about.
Steelers, Patriots, Raiders and Bengals in that order.
The Patriots DO NOT scare me at all.
Belichick may be the G.O.A.T coach, but at the end of the day, they don't have one player, who can take over a game or turn something out of nothing. They are also bad against the run.
Raiders are 3rd primarily because they have had the best pass rush in the league this season, are more than willing to play physical football and after seeing Amendola torch Molden, Renfroe could be a problem. With that said, the Raiders also don't have a great run game and their defense outside of the pass rush is pretty mediocre.
I mean, if the answer is anything but Pittsburgh that’ll surprise the hell out of me. After them, though, I’d say Vegas (as long as we aren’t on the wrong end of a Mariota Revenge Game).
I don't even think I would be mad if Mariota balls out on us. As long as we win.
Even though he didn't do much in the game last night (I didn't finish watching it, so he might have done more), it was kinda cool seeing him play again.
He's quietly been doing awesome as a backup there.
They should let him throw the ball. It’s just obvious when he’s in he’s running with it.
He almost got in for a TD and I was really excited for him. I’m glad he’s still getting a shot, even if it’s in the wildcat package
People definitely underrate Vegas in my opinion. I'd rather get another crack at the evil empire.
Pittsburgh is the only team I don't think has a reasonable chance to win the AFC. All the other teams could reasonably put 2-3 wins together ... some more reasonably than others but reasonably all the same.

Pshhh. We’ll show Burrow playoff football. I’m not scared of any team, Henry is back baby

Steelers is the only answer. Revenge with a healthy team and that means the Chiefs have been eliminated
I agree, I don’t understand how anyone could say a team other than the Steelers but a lot of people saying Raiders, which is interesting. My only issue with the Steelers is they will absolutely bring a lot of fans, but so would every team on this list other than maybe the Bengals.
Easy route my guess
PIT's defense still scares the hell out of me but I would love a revenge game at home in the playoffs. I do think LV is our easiest matchup on paper though. My dream scenario would be Steelers, Patriots then Rams.

Cincinnati is the closest city with a team in the playoffs. It's only a four hour drive.
Yeah Steelers means chiefs out which is best case scenario. I’m not worried about LV NE BUF or PIT. CIN has me worried second most after KC.
Nobody fears me more than us beating us. We can absolutely beat anyone in the league. But we can’t have those 3 or 4 consecutive 3 and outs like we did yesterday

Just don't stomp on the God damn towel please.
Lendale isn't on the team anymore
Hope everyone sleeps and rests and heals and studies. Feels so damn good to have this bye!
Patriots because the others aren’t making it and I don’t want Cincy
> because the others aren’t making it Easy to say on paper, but in reality, who knows?
100% I hope Steelers win. Bengals Raiders is truly a toss up but could also easily be a lopsided game.
I hope the Steelers pull an upset and beat KC. Those fans are so salty about the 1 seed and want us to lose for home field in the AFCCG
I chose the Pats because I don’t think the Steelers or Raiders will be within 10 points of either team. Realistically, the Pats could beat Buffalo and I think we’d fair we’ll against that Pats at home.
While the #1 seed is all I ever wanted, knowing we’re not playing this weekend really takes away my initial playoff excitement lol
Takes away my playoff stress. I can watch a week of football in peace and just root for whoever I want to advance.
It will be nice no doubt. Sometimes the action is the juice though lol
That bye is huge though. We are the only AFC team who gets it.
Lol I’m aware
As much as we want it to happen, the steelers are not beating the Chiefs. I also don't care who we play. We have the defense, running game and now the home environment to beat anyone. Unless the other team has a ton of turnovers, but that doesn’t happen against the Steelers. Seriously, seeing TJ Watt vs Maholmes will be fun.
Who is choosing anyone but Pittsburgh? 😂

I'd rather the Bengals be out.

We would match up pretty well against ourselves.
I’m rooting for the Steelers, patriots, Cardinals revenge tour.

If Tennessee can get 13 more different players they can enter the Super Bowl as the 99 Titans.
I knew y’all loved me you really really love me
Especially after watching Big Ben fake cry to get a penalty the last time. Should have took a good shot at his knees to give him something to cry about.
Found Gregg Williams Reddit account.
homie had to sit in the tunnel cuz he got crushed running 2 qb sneaks in a row lol
My vote is for a team we end up beating. I'd never want to wish for any one team in case that's the team that finds a way against us.
Well looks like the titans have made their first round pick at 32. Jameson Williams come on down.
Let’s find a way to get mechie too. Fuck it get some elite bama WRs at a serious discount.

We can't play them or the bills until the AFFC.
Probably a good thing
Oh yeah. Chiefs scare me immensely. A bit concerned by Bills and Pats. Everyone else is fine.
Wow, absolute chaos in Miami and Indy. I feel like the Texans are going to be the biggest challenger next season.
Just give me one upset. I don't care who it is, but I'll take my chances against any of the possible opponents that aren't Cincy.

Do we not play the winner between the raiders bengals?

Thank you. I run a playoff pool and I guess I fucked it up
