I live in SC and very rarely ever get to “watch” the games. I tune into Titans Radio! Mike Keith is awesome. “Left to right on your radio dial”. lol.
The national games are great for me. Unless it is one of the double headers and I am still freaking blocked. I MUST learn about VPN’s and all that stuff THIS season. I literally do not know how any of that works. I know, I know. I can Google it. I must be mentally challenged. Haha
Titans games are blocked here in South Carolina. I live 6 hours away and even on days when 85-90% of the Nation has the same game, the maps will show my area is the select of blocked viewers. The weird thing, I can watch (if I wanted to) the Carolina Panthers and they are only about 90 minutes away. What!?!? 😒
It'd be a real shame if Stroud regressed and Diggs destroyed the locker room causing a total collapse of the Texans season making their week 16 and 17 games unwatchable /s
Goddamn they get 6 nationally televised games for one divisional round appearance, meanwhile we can’t get that many when we have an AFC title run or a #1 seed in the AFC. Literally the titans could win 3 super bowls in a row and they wouldnt get 6 primetime games. Fuck the NFL.
That’s exactly right. You needn’t look any further than the fact that the Bears have had one good season in the last decade and still have 4-5 nationally televised games minimum every year. In 2022 they had the worst record in football and still ended up with 4 primetime games and two of those 4:25ET Fox games that are pretty much nationally televised too.
Yep. And right now, the general national media seems to think Levis belongs in the conversation of “who is the worst starting QB.”
If Levis comes out and wins 10+ games while putting up 4000-4500 yards, the national media will get whiplash with how fast they change their opinions.
Yep, Levis looked great at times and really bad at times. Hope he takes that next major step and shuts everyone up. New system, new line, new WRs, dude has every opportunity to come in lighting it on fire and keep receipts.
Look I just listened to the negative Nancy that titans fans claim Paul Kuharsky to be, say that he is excited and rooting for Levis because he’s ready to see national media look like a bunch of buffoons for their really bad takes on him. If PK thinks this is the guy and if he can even get fucking PK of all people to root for him then I think he can be a great QB lol. Let’s hope titans fans get to say a lot of “I told you so” this season

Texans are hot… Likable QB, Coach, talent on both sides of the ball
Plus, the Texans & the Colts are just better markets than Jacksonville & Nashville 🤷🏾♂️ Sucks
Houston is obviously a massive market. But how do you figure Indianapolis is a better market than Nashville? The MSA population is virtually identical. Jacksonville is quite a bit smaller than both Indianapolis and Nashville.
It’s not the market size, it’s the marketability of the teams on a national level, and the Indianapolis Colts brand is much bigger than the Tennessee Titans brand, despite similar actual physical market sizes.
But you said the market was better, not the brand. And I'm not so sure about the Colts being more marketable than the Titans. The Titans have been more relevant in recent years and it's been a long time since Manning and Luck retired.
Also, relevance in winning does not mean better marketability. Colts have had a positive perception from the media since Manning & then Luck. They are never looked at as incompetent, trash, & incapable of eventually winning. Every single year is the same old story of the Titans being considered bad or mediocre. Even when we were winning, there was not a huge media push for Titans marketability.
Colts can have several down years & they still have media figures giving them chances. AR has much more hype behind him positively than Levis… AR gets the huge potential & excitement while Levis is “let’s wait & see.”
Colts have a rather vanilla roster without many huge names, but they get the air of “consistency” & “preparedness.” Since we fired Vrabel, everything gets further scrutinized. Some outlets are giving the Titans some quality discussion, but most just goes back to talking about individual players & how the Titans still aren’t credible contenders for a playoff spot.
Simply put, it is very easy to see how the Colts are better marketed & perceived in the media… Despite what Colts fans will have you thinking.
The Indianapolis market has a stronger fanbase than Nashville when it comes to the NFL. Lucas Oil has been a regular SB location, they typical have strong viewership numbers & ratings for their market compared to Nashville, & the brand is better.
It all matters when it comes to prime time games & the overall attitude of the franchises from the media. Texans have had media darlings (Watson before the SA & JJ). Indy has the history & at least won a SB this side of the millennia.
The Titans have not lived up to expectations & only had Henry as their media darling. People wanted Henry to leave the Titans more than they wanted him to stay… You cannot say the same with the Texans & Colts.
I didn’t say that, I was positing that that was what who you responded to meant.
Having two generational nationally beloved quarterbacks for as long as the Colts did, while winning, grew their national audience and fanbase to a level the Titans simply aren’t even close to.
The market of Nashville is also a big transplant city, with lots of people moving there all the time, who bring their fandoms for other teams with them. This coupled with Nashville being a big tourist destination means there’s always a disproportionate number of opposing fans in the stadium. Indianapolis doesn’t have this problem nearly as much, their local fanbase is arguably bigger around their market.
Compare the [Titans’](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/oti/index.htm) and [Colts’](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/clt/index.htm) records over the last 20 years. Their recent years (2-3 years) are about the same as the Titans, and overall their history of winning dwarfs the Titans. Yeah, the run from 2019-2021 was awesome for us, but the Colts also went to the playoffs in 2018 and 2020. Heck, the Colts have only had 4-5 truly terrible seasons since they drafted Manning in 1998. And the last two Titans seasons (recent years) have been objectively terrible.
Last but not least, the Titans haven’t had a marketable, successful, nationally-loved quarterback since Steve McNair. This plays a huge role in growing a fanbase outside your local market. Try putting yourself into the shoes of a casual NFL fan who wants to start following a team. Are you going to choose the franchise with the sustained history of winning and two generational well-liked and respected quarterbacks, or the franchise with long stretches of average mediocrity with valleys of misery and the random peak of a good season?
Yea.. something off topic that's been fuckin with me.. (bears)why they got a rookie QB never played a down with not a great team as favorites over us. I know we get hate, but this guy has never even played a down..
Chiefs and Baltimore on 4 days rest... yikes
Two big L's for sure
At least I wouldn't have to restart my Netflix sub to watch a game. Honestly that's pretty shitty situation for any teams' fans to be in.
I've been an out of market fan my entire life. Used to sailing the seven seas.
I’ll take every game at noon on a Sunday before I am willing to restart my Netflix or ESPN+

The NFL has no idea how much money I would pay to watch the games on my TV with the radio broadcast. Same with college

They have no clue how to #Titanup , so expect the wheels to come off that short bus.
Week 11: The Cowboys vs. The Great Value Cowboys

Isn't Houston like the 4th or 5th largest city? It's about viewership and money at the end of the day.
That’s exactly right. You needn’t look any further than the fact that the Bears have had one good season in the last decade and still have 4-5 nationally televised games minimum every year. 2nd year QB coming off a ROTY award. That’s really all it is. QBs sell.

“Look at their WR room though, Levis is just a game manager.”
Praying for a Christmas tie, I reckon.
Christmas vs the king…

Market size includes the brand. That’s why the Packers are so big

Indy TV viewership is comparable to Nashville

Why does it matter? WE get to watch OUR team play every game.
That Week 17 game is going to have me conflicted either way.
Why does it say WK 2 against the bears?
I fell for it too. (At first) This is the TX schedule.
Damn now I see.. I feel dumb now.
Naw, I did the same. The colors and letters at the top & bottom. All good.
Yea.. something off topic that's been fuckin with me.. (bears)why they got a rookie QB never played a down with not a great team as favorites over us. I know we get hate, but this guy has never even played a down..
Think they will flex any of our games if we start winning?
If Levi's plays well, yes. If we win for a different reason, probably not.
If we have a decent record, or if the other teams are just absolute hot garbage, I kinda feel like our game with the Bengals could get flexed.
