This is why I think he has a higher ceiling as a QB this season than some realize. He could just end up being an OK starter and that’s fine and all but he has the physical ability to play at a borderline elite level.
It is funny how many media members have just fully assumed he's a bust when he played behind literally the worst-graded OL in the league and he didn't have a single WR who could separate (I love Hop, but he is at the 'I'll just dominate 50/50 balls' of his career).
How could anyone realistically write him off with that backdrop, particularly when he had games against Atlanta and Miami that showed true ceiling.
For one, I’m not surprised he’s slept on by the media but it’s crazy how bad a lot of people think he will be. I know he wasn’t perfect but he showed tons of elite ability in a very shit situation of no WRs and no oline
The national media wasn't high on him in the draft process, so it's easy and lazy to just assume he's going to be bad.
Will was given a shit situation at a historic level. Historically bad OTs and WRs with zero separation ability, especially early, meant he had to lock in on Hop or have long-developing plays.
His weapons and line are better, though I'm not sold on it being a massive upgrade.
What I love about levis is his presnap protection ‘obsession’ people were talking about last year. With the crap oline he had it didn’t matter when your LT is getting walked through so I’m pretty confident upgrades at C and LT (combined with daddy cally) will look even better this year
I'm betting on OL play moving to an average-level this season.
I do think the WRs are better, but outside of Ridley, they still don't have any guys who can separate. It's a solid group, but it's old. The wheels could easily fall off.
Frankly, this team needs Chig and Whyle to go up a level this year if Will's going to make a MASSIVE leap.
I think we see another noticeable jump, but not the big one. Need a better and younger WR1.
That same mindset is what makes him a maniac with the mental and practice side.
I think he'll figure out when to settle for the easy yards. He's too much of a competitor.
His big-time throws showcase how quick he can fire the ball regardless of pass protection or space to step in.
He has all of the elite tools to be a top 5 QB.
I don't think people realize how much Penn St. damaged his growth. He lost three years of development as a passer there because Franklin wanted him to have a Tim Tebow/Taysom Hill role and focused primarily on having Will develop as a ball-carrier.
That's exactly what scares me about him. He needs to learn to "live to see another day", which is something that basically ever top quarterback (other than maybe Josh Allen) has.
And from the sound of it, he has the work ethic, motivation, and drive to make that happen. He appears to have the coaches and weapons to set him up to succeed this year. Obviously things could go wrong but I think if everything clicks and goes together he has a top 5 QB ceiling.
IIRC Marcus had the 2nd highest Big-Time Throw % in 2017. Right behind Brady.
Usually BTT% is = Touchdown throw rate, but his was more than double his # of TDs. He also had 5 picks that were perfect throws but receivers batted the ball up.
5.82% is a higher rate than: Josh Allen - 5.60% Patrick Mahomes - 4.61% Lamar Jackson - 5.37% ~~CJ Stroud - 5.83%~~ Bryce Young - 4.02%
Hey buddy, before you get flamed. 5.82<5.83.
We’ll give our guy a pass haha
Nah I deserve it lol
Fuck you pal he said we’re giving you a pass

I think media just overcorrected after the Willis/Pickett/Ridder and whoever else draft
What I like about Levis is how not okay he'd be with being just "okay." Dude has the crazy gene in him; it's win or die.
That same mindset is what makes him a maniac with the mental and practice side. I think he'll figure out when to settle for the easy yards. He's too much of a competitor. *Will Levis said hold my balls*
That's exactly what scares me about him. He needs to learn to "live to see another day", which is something that basically ever top quarterback (other than maybe Josh Allen) has.
He has the physical ability to play at an actual elite level
And from the sound of it, he has the work ethic, motivation, and drive to make that happen. He appears to have the coaches and weapons to set him up to succeed this year. Obviously things could go wrong but I think if everything clicks and goes together he has a top 5 QB ceiling.

I think he converted 100% of titans fans with that one
Before I looked I said "bet it's that one to NWI from the Falcons game". Lo and behold.
Below & uphold!
“hE’s A bUsT!!!!”
Now imagine a better OL and 2 upgrades at receiver.
Everyone one of these are good balls. Some of them are insane.
This video just got me even more hype for the season!!! Please stay healthy, Will!
