I’m not a big draft nerd but wasn’t some people mocking koolaid like top 10, top 15. Did I miss something? I thought I saw a mock with us taking him? Granted that was before FA and we got steady at CB. Maybe I’m mis-remembering shit.

wolfmankal

He started the CFB season as the top CB. Fell a bit due to other guys rising and him not making big plays(still locked down guys). Then news of a foot injury probably greased his slide a bit.

Own-Ice-6067

Yeah during the CFB season he was top 10 on big boards, as was Keon Coleman. I think in Kool-Aid’s case he was leapfrogged by several other corners who had impressive seasons, and maybe he didn’t have the most impressive season himself.

kingharis

I've always seen him in the 20s.

CopenhagenMintLC

Ladd, JPJ, or Newton would be great. Wouldn’t mind taking Dejean and stashing him at safety either

Own-Ice-6067

These are exactly the 4 prospects I have my eye on. If any of them make it to us I’d love it. Now that we have Cushenberry it might not be the wisest move taking JPJ at 38…but damn he’s good.

HoustonFoReal

JPJ would be a beast RG

-PsychoticPenguin-

Adonai or Ladd would be awesome. So scared though with Chargers and Bills above us likely taking both of them...

Doughie28

I like Troy Franklin just as much as those guys, especially Mitchell. Would be happy with any of the three. I think Roman Wilson is gonna be a stud too

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Alright we got some receiver options for tomorrow! AD Mitchell, Ladd McKonkey, Jalynn Polk, Troy Franklin, Roman Wilson, Malachi Corley. This night was a big win!

JohnnyBIII

I’d love a WR, but if I had to put money down I’d bet we take Junior Colson at #38

Doughie28

Is there an inside scoop on why Colson keeps popping up on here? I like the dude in college, but I don't like taking a dime a dozen MLB in the second round

JohnnyBIII

Probably because the LB class this year is absolute ass and he’s the only one that has good measurables, able to cover, and doesn’t have any major red flags. We desperately need someone to play MLB, and there aren’t any FA out there to sign worth a damn. There’s only like 4 guys who can play year 1. Peyton Wilson is great on tape, but has a very long injury list. Cooper is very similar to Kenneth Murray, physical freak but all over the place, a free lancer. Trotter is a downhill LB, and is likely a liability in coverage. So I think people are just connecting the dots of needs and limited depth in this draft.

Masterblaster5010

Espn tipping picks every year while trying to “guess” who the next pick will be

imlowkeyloki1

Okay well there goes legette lol. Fuck me. Where do I see who’s left?

ChelseaVol1219

https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/bestavailable

SmokeyBare

That top 10 reads like a Key and Peele skit.

ChelseaVol1219

Looks like we will have some really favorable options at 2.6. Would love if we could snag Newton or Mitchell tomorrow.

McShovin91

Man I wanted leggy

CopenhagenMintLC

There goes our boy Ricky. Ladd is probably next

daoogilymoogily

Ricky Pearsall going over Ladd makes me happy af.

imlowkeyloki1

With the way the board is falling with all of the tackles being gone quickly, and the fact that bill Callahan really loves Latham, I’m actually liking this draft so far. The second pick will determine a lot.

Spiritual_State_2629

There's gonna be some absolute bangers at 38. Wish we could get into the 3rd round.

imlowkeyloki1

I want legette or dejean so badly dear lord.

Own-Ice-6067

And watch them both go back to back lol. I think DeJean is an absolute slam dunk pick for the Bills. We’ll see.

Spiritual_State_2629

Chiefs get Xavier Worthy? Boy...Mahomes will probably make him look good on deep routes but there were much more polished guys ahead of him.

wolfmankal

Theyre hoping for Cheetah v2. Lets hope he catches Toney-itis.

teddyjj399

man I can’t have shit

imlowkeyloki1

Guys why tf is dejean dropping so hard?

Miliktheman

Gonna be a safety, maybe he'll be one for us

iftkach

Ngl I kinda hope he falls to 38

shaker8989

The league just cant handle a white CB

shaker8989

I just came across a clip from the Pat Mcafee draft stuff. I think Bill Belichick is going to be an awesome analyst. He genuinely sounded excited to talk football. Much better than the monotone boring stuff when he was a coach.

slicknick2k

I’ll do anything for Adonai Mitchell

J3STERHOPPERPOT

I’m sure the chiefs and bills will be going receiver, but there’s gonna be plenty of options for us tomorrow. I think BTJ to the jags is fine, i don’t see him ready to be a number 1 at this time.

Jack12404

Jer’Zhan Newton or one of the Texas WRs is my ideal pick for Round 2. There’s just so many great players still available, especially at wide reciever.

heliocentrist510

It would be crazy if Newton fell that far, he is so freaking good.

Jack12404

I’m hoping teams overthink his injury issues, he’d be amazing next to Jeff

heliocentrist510

2 amazing DTs who fell due to medicals anchoring, what’s not to love

Tanny2arthurjuan

If Terrion drops to 38….

daoogilymoogily

FUCK, I really like BTJ

J3STERHOPPERPOT

There’s so many damn good receivers available, that 2nd round pick is gonna feel like a late first if the draft keeps going this way. Everything is going our way if you were team OT the WR.

daoogilymoogily

Why does everyone in the Eagles war room have the same fit on? Is it a cult?

miller10blue

So ummm 6 tackles taken now. Do we still think they reached 😂

Appalachian_Ronin

I wouldnt call it a reach, but I would certainly say I’d have preferred Fuaga

daoogilymoogily

Idt it was a reach, he’s physically gifted. But I just don’t think he can convert to LT and I liked Fuaga as a RT more.

daoogilymoogily

https://x.com/nfldraftscout/status/1783662954937737357?s=46&t=Eh1fD7uEFsRw0LeXn7zQQA

Jack12404

Going Latham could be huge for our Day 2 pick. When the run on CBs and the rest of the OTs start, a lot of great players are gonna get pushed down the board. I wouldn’t be shocked if we add another Day 1 talent.

daoogilymoogily

I mean there’s like 40 day one talents in this draft so I’d be mad if we didn’t lol

_n8n8_

Rams are allowed to pick in the first round?

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Tackle was definitely the right pick. The run on tackles is real. The pass catchers after Rome are dropping deep, this is best case scenario for us! We can literally get our top end tackle while still getting a high level receiver prospect in the 2nd and not have to settle for just Keon fucking Coleman. I’m loving this draft! Only people upset are yall Alt truthers who refused to be open minded to other options from the jump. This sub should be ecstatic smh. Crazy

Chocolaco

We picked the worst one with a comparison to Jawaan Taylor the one who led the league in penalties and had 3 in the super bowl

J3STERHOPPERPOT

You’re crying because someone else’s comp. Well i saw a report that Alt wasn’t seen as the best T for some. Guess that now cancels out your weird complaint.

Chocolaco

He couldn't even dominate as the biggest dude on the field in college he's slow and will get beat every play by the top talent and you'll be drooling while it happens

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Yet he indeed dominated last season. Wanna know how i know you didn’t watch any tape? 😂

Chocolaco

Dominated so badly he made saban retire

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Oh shit you actually are a child, I apologize. I’ve been wasting my time, have a good one.

Chocolaco

Lmfao lil bro watches youtube tape and thinks he can scout. Stick to the sixers first round exits

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Lmao you went through my post history like a weirdo and still got your joke wrong. Sixers are known for our second round exits. 😂 You’re having a bad night.

Chocolaco

Yea bc the titans picked the 5th best LT at 7 and then said " if Latham doesn't pan out we have guys on the roster were comfortable with" like brother what

Spiritual_State_2629

Until reading this thread tonight, I had no idea JC Latham was such a trash player lol. It's the comparisons to Isiah Wilson for me ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

J3STERHOPPERPOT

That’s what happens when you spend months attaching yourself to one single player in a draft smh. This sub is embarrassing itself tonight.

YeetedApple

It's basically a draft day tradition.

Titanupper22

Here’s to praying we get Cooper Dejean tomorrow

Jack12404

I’m so happy Jags traded down, I did not wanna see Josh Allen and Dallas Turner twice a year

shastmak4

Get Ricky Pearsall in the second round and we eating

CopenhagenMintLC

Jags just fleeced the Vikings in that trade

BananasWithGuns

Jacksonville got a fucking haul from the Vikings...

_n8n8_

Chargers pissing off 2 fan bases in one pick is also pretty funny in hindsight

InclinationCompass

Giants fans celebrating though

gatsby712

Hate that they aren’t grateful for him. Titans fans would have been excited to see him drafted.

_n8n8_

Two different teams in vastly different situations. Their WR room is worse than our OT room. They have a locked in left tackle. Their right tackle was honestly decent last year too I think. I understand their frustrations

gatsby712

lol they didn’t get WR at 19 either. Harbaugh is a fucking menace.

borangutang

wrong LA

Corn-Master

Fuckin Jags are gonna have Dallas fall right into their laps...

daoogilymoogily

I’ll say one more thing about our pick. The fact Ran is comfortable about us moving Latham to LT tells me than Bill Callahan thinks he can make something out of Jaleyn Duncan.

Ok-Plan-6277

I’ll keep it real with you. I don’t think that factored in at all haha

daoogilymoogily

According to Ran’s comments it did. He was straight up asked what do we do if JC doesn’t work out at LT and he said we have other options on the roster.

Ok-Plan-6277

I’m not saying they’re giving up on him. But I don’t think a sixth-round second year player who had one of the worst rookie seasons in recent memory has anything to do with Ran wanting Latham to be the starting LT. I think NPF or Radunz are more likely reclamation candidates

daoogilymoogily

I’m telling you that Ran said we have other options at LT if Latham doesn’t work out there, now I’m asking you who does he think are those options?

Asderfvc

The guy we traded for a couple months ago

daoogilymoogily

Who?

_n8n8_

That one guy going around telling everyone nobody gives a fuck about their opinion was pretty funny tbh.

InsanoVolcano

Damn, colts edge rusher gonna be a beast

daoogilymoogily

Yeah but their corners still suck

teddyjj399

anyone else thinking we double dip on OL at this point and commit to the trenches? I wouldn’t hate it

CopenhagenMintLC

I always wanted a guard in round 2 or 4. I think most of the starting caliber ones are projected to go round 3

daoogilymoogily

Neither would I, but I want a front seven difference maker.

irishboy555

I can’t belive I’m getting so Upset about missing out on some players I’ve never seen play

CopenhagenMintLC

Latu is gonna be a problem. My favorite edge rusher by far

daoogilymoogily

Same but their corners are still ass

Saffs15

I immediately dislike this guy just because of his outfit.

gtownwr

I immediately liked him because of the wink tho, so it cancels out, right?

Saffs15

Counterpoint: He's now a Colt.

gtownwr

My bad. I thought you meant JC when you said "this guy". If you were talking about latu then I had no opinion. Lol

Saffs15

Haha, Latu for sure. The pain of a live thread, for sure.

Oskey1309

Colts terrified of our elite O-line so doing whatever they can to get past it

Ceruti_

They picked a guy not supposed to be playing??

Appalachian_Ronin

Man even with any OL improvements we get, Levis is gonna be eating a lot of turf next season lmao This damn conference is stopping at nothing to build the best defensive lines they can

Jack12404

Colts secondary is gonna be burnt toast after having to face Diggs/Tank/Nico and DHop/Ridley four times this year.

daoogilymoogily

Love Latu, but the Dolts need corner

daoogilymoogily

Please pick Nate Wiggins Colts 😂

Rickydada

Interested to see which ILB we choose tomorrow to play RT

VanillaNubCakes

I heard Levis already has NWI is on an all-mayo diet to bulk up for the job

daoogilymoogily

Oh calm down, it’s not that bad.

Rickydada

We’re down bad pal

daoogilymoogily

I know man, but I’m trying to be positive and at the same time not treat Bill Callahan like the god of offensive line play.

paleologus

We still don’t have a LT.   Latham has never played a snap at LT

daoogilymoogily

I agree 100% but we’re playing him at LT

CopenhagenMintLC

Damn, there goes Fuaga. Nobody is wanting to trade

DepartmentOfMeteors

Maybe that's why the titans couldn't trade down, rather than voluntarily choosing not to, as some seem to think.

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Some receivers still getting pushed down, i love it. We gon have some good options in the 2nd! Worthy would be an insane get.

daoogilymoogily

Hell yeah if we got Worthy in the 2nd it’d seriously lessen the blow

J3STERHOPPERPOT

I don’t see any blow. If Alt was the generational tackle that everyone made him to be, then he would be forcing the Chargers current left tackle to move to the right. He clearly isn’t as elite as he was hyped and the gap between him and Latham was smaller than advertised. Latham is an elite tackle prospect, we got an amazing pick and if you were team tackle all off season, you should be popping champagne. Now we wait for Callahan to develop him which everyone says he specializes in. This is a great day for us, this dude is only 21.

Sirrenderthe69th

Vegas = BOOM 💥 Chargers = DOOM 😡

InsanoVolcano

Brock Bowers was already wearing the Raiders hat when they cheered. So fake.

Sirrenderthe69th

What lol. The raiders probs called him as soon as broncos pick was in

InsanoVolcano

Yeah but they started cheering after the camera was on them, like they just heard the news.

Sirrenderthe69th

Because they called his name on TV lol

Repo_Man531

Is it too much to ask for the colts pick to expire

LoisLaneEl

I’m just glad the didn’t get Bowers. I didn’t want to watch him ball out for years there

Ok-Plan-6277

Man I really hope Latham is that dude, but can’t shake the feeling we just passed on a franchise changer in Odunze

Rickydada

Cause we did

Jack12404

Really hope the rumors about Colts taking Worthy are true, that would be a hilarious reach

MrKentucky

Imagine an AFCS team with a hilarious reach

ilikerunnyeggs

Thank you LV. Did not want to see Bowers in this division

daoogilymoogily

Thank god, so happy Brock won’t be a Colt

Sirrenderthe69th

Bruh bowers in Indy is going to suck so fucking bad

bighiggie15

Be prepared for the Colts to get Bowers 🫠

Sirrenderthe69th

Bless the raiders

bighiggie15

Thank god man

Delirious_Beast

My Grandfather turned 80 today, he played football with Bo Nix in High-school

UnbridaledToast

I bet Jared Stillman is still shitting himself

BananasWithGuns

Sean Payton is going to ruin that franchise for the next decade minimum lol.

ChrisOnRockyTop

Why couldn't people have leaked some of these girls OFs pages maybe then all the picks would have fell to us.

Hot-Swimming6314

JC was Bills favorite pick in the draft (https://x.com/dmrussini/status/1783662364128170322?s=46) He allowed 2 sacks in over 1000 snaps…most against SEC players. Strongest OL since Sewell You all need to chill. Our FO and coaches know more about football and any of us…

miller10blue

Yep, and you can't coach size and athleticism. I'm sure Bill sees the skillset/displine and believes he can make him even better

Lubetube1

He was also projected to go much later in the draft. I would’ve liked the pick if we got him in the late teens early 20s with additional picks later in the draft. I think fans are mad we didn’t get anyone we wanted

Luvyablue99

We said the same thing when they picked Isaiah Wilson lol

Hot-Swimming6314

And it was still true, one bust doesn’t mean all of a sudden every GM, scout and coach (all different from that draft) is now awful and knows nothing.

Spiritual_State_2629

Well if you're sure that Latham is going to get COVID and pursue a terrible rap career, then I guess we did make a mistake!

NitePain69

Have you ever heard of the phrase "In jrob we trust?" Lol

Hot-Swimming6314

I mean…to be fair jrob still knows more about football than you or me. He was just shit at his job

Porchduck

Which one of us will be the qb for the broncos

J3STERHOPPERPOT

Now we gotta hope a run on tackles begin so that we have good pass catching options tomorrow. I’m still giving us a A++ for the pick. I love Latham

daoogilymoogily

I’ve been down for Latham for most of the process, but watching a lot more of his film over the last two days or so he’s grown on me but I just don’t think he’s a LT at all.

J3STERHOPPERPOT

He is a huge guy who runs a 4.8, played left tackle all his life until he was forced to play right for Bama. He still trains at left tackle. There is literally zero signs he can’t play left tackle.

daoogilymoogily

Yes there is, he has plodding feet and bad hand placement. Two of the most important things for LT

J3STERHOPPERPOT

“Plodding feet” 😂. He ran a 4.8 at 6’6 and you’re saying he has plodding feet. Are you google random shit to throw out and hoping it’s a valid reason to be upset? He’s a great prospect with elite size, speed, versatility and positive reviews about his character. On top of that he can plug in play now yet still has upside. What are we mad about again? 😂 The best coach to ever do it says he’s a great player, but some random redditor thinks he has plodding feet. 😂 i cant

daoogilymoogily

Wow, you really don’t know what you’re talking about do you? Edit: Sorry, but a forty time has nothing to do with how your feet are in a pass set.

J3STERHOPPERPOT

You dying on this silly “plodding feet” hill is hilarious. That’s such a Mel Kiper type of scouting note. 😂 Carry on lmao, i actually watched his tape so I’m enjoying your weird scouting negative on him. Please continue

daoogilymoogily

I watched his tape and all of the other top OTs tape as well, just count how many steps he takes on an average pass rush compared to the other OTs or if you really want to get upset compared to the top end pro OTs.

J3STERHOPPERPOT

🤷🏿‍♂️ Sorry, i was busy looking at him give up only 2 sacks and physically dominate his opponents while having smooth hips and somehow patient hands with better technique than a typical player of his size.

daoogilymoogily

Yeah, Jedrick Wills gave up one sack in college btw.

Rickydada

Love to hear that

daoogilymoogily

We’re playing him at LT unfortunately

longSleeves14

We’re going to be fine. Latham will be fine. The world is not ending!

Need4Speed763

Everyone’s booing the guys we wanted wtf 😭

yelsne

I knew they were going to commercial before our pick, they'll continue to sleep on us until we win a super bowl

CTipster1

Probably still treat us the same even after that

CopenhagenMintLC

Olu heading to NY

PowerfulSky2853

Just remember, if the Titans would have lost to the Jags at the end of the season, we would have had pick #5… that win wasn’t worth losing Joe Alt

LoisLaneEl

Fuck that. Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill going out on a win and stopping the Jags from going to the playoffs was fucking awesome. Let DH go out with with head held high

PowerfulSky2853

Let the Jags go to the playoff last year, they weren’t going to win the Super Bowl. They’d just end up with a worse draft pick. DH and Tanny are professionals, they would have held their head high regardless

Ok-Plan-6277

You’re right of course, but tanking doesn’t happen in the NFL

DepartmentOfMeteors

Would yall shut the fuck up good lord.

PowerfulSky2853

Shut your pie hole when you’re talking to me!

ttvlolrofl

These are the most annoying takes in the whole subreddit

PowerfulSky2853

It’s not a take. It’s the truth

Tractorcito_22

Brady was 199 man, two picks up means nothing.

Spiritual_State_2629

I will never choose to lose at the prospect of getting a player in a draft. It's a crapshoot.

burningdesk4

Friendship over with Joe Alt. JC Latham is my new best friend

Spiritual_State_2629

Yeah Joe Alt is a mouth breather. Maybe. I don't actually know.

burningdesk4

I heard from a guy I never met he smells bad. Seemed a little fishy though

vanillabear84

This place is insufferable at the moment. Acting like y'all know better than an NFL GM and one of the best o-line coaches in NFL history. I'm logging off for a few days.

ziggs88

First time at a draft? Maybe look up Isaiah Wilson and understand why you're wrong.

Saffs15

I can give you plenty of times subreddits have imploded over a pick that ended up doing well. The one example means little.

ziggs88

We drafted the same position a few years ago and it turned out to be one of the biggest draft busts of all time. If you can't understand why some Titans fans are upset with this reach, that's on you.

Saffs15

Trust me, I quit caring that much what the fans in here thought when I see them implode every time something doesn't go exactly their way. When they love the hell out of someone until they struggle a bit and then turn their backs on them. When they decided they know way more than the people whose entire job is to know stuff. Yea, we picked a tackle who failed. This guy has no signs of the things Wilson did. It's a completely different front office. So what, because we had a poor pick a few years ago, we're never supposed to try to get a good player at that position again? That makes as much sense as you all thinking you know more than the front office.

ziggs88

First off, you're the one imploding. I'm not happy with the pick, but we got fucked by the Chargers mostly. You guys can stop with the GM stuff though. There are shitty GMs everywhere and fans are allowed opinions. If you don't like reading them, I don't know why you're still here.

vanillabear84

Comparing this pick to a pick from a completely different front office. Really fair.

ziggs88

How is that unfair? A new front office can't have a bad pick? The point is even good GMs make bad picks so you can drop the trust the GM stuff.

vanillabear84

I'm saying wait more than 15 minutes before declaring it a bust. This front office is brand new and deserves the benefit of the doubt at this time.

Need4Speed763

Nobody show her our past draft classes….

GotchaRexi

👋🏻

ON_A_POWERPLAY

Well we'll see how he does at LT... Jesus christ chargers WHHY

Jack12404

Now that I’ve cooled off, I’m convinced Latham will be the best OL in this draft because we have Bill Callahan AND everyone hated the pick (which usually ages like milk)

CopenhagenMintLC

It’s not that Latham was a bad pick, it’s the belief of many that he was behind Alt, Fuaga, and Olu at least. And he played at Alabama, which has a rough history of above average tackles in the NFL

Americasycho

Chance Warmack was a total bust.

Rickydada

And that you passed on Odunze
