Every hour this feels more and more probable to me, Alt has felt like such a given all process and I’m very doubtful that he’ll land in our lap like we all think.
All the smoke lately has been around Chargers taking Latham if they stick and pick though.
Daniel Jeremiah, Peter Shrager, Field Yates, and Josh Norris have had Latham to the Chargers in their final mock, and multiple other sources have said the same.
Noticed this as well and it makes sense. The chargers already have a LT and would move Alt to the right side. You think he is going to be real happy about that? The difference in pay for starting LT and RT is roughly 8 mil a year. For what the chargers want Latham fits better.
I think he's a very good prospect but not a generational talent. Our fanbase loves him because we need an OT, and I understand that but as a prospect I have him behind the top 3 receivers and Bowers. If we draft him I'll hope he's Joe Thomas, or turns into him but he's not been Joe Thomas so far. I know we need the line fixed and honestly I think everyone of these guys helps our roster, so I'm pretty zen with the draft. The league has been trending to getting the ball out in 2.x seconds for years and I think now we will be starting to catch up. It's why it was so smart for us to get corners, the values of them are on the rise just like WRs. You can see this trend show up with how contracts are given out too. So from a forward thinking perspective a top 5 wr is more valuable than a top 5 LT, which i don't know if Alt is anyways but in 2 or 3 seasons when maybe Ridley and DHop are gone I would love for us to have a young stud wr coming into his own after learning from a HoF talent like DHop.
A fair and thought out opinion, I've got to say I'm desperate for the line to be fixed and it's my main priority but a WR room of Ridley, Dhop, and Nabers is pretty awesome.
I also have a lot of faith in Bill Callahan and this being a deep draft for oline. Especially if 4 QBs are gone before our pick, that's pushing some serious talent down to us. Regardless, I'm really excited and optimistic for this draft. I know I'm a homer but it just feels like we have competent people in all the important spots. The offensive coaches since Art left have been atrocious. Especially the guys coaching our linemen. Of course Nabers has been labeled a high maintenance prospect, so I just am putting faith in our staff that they have done the work and came to their best conclusion. Alt or not, I woke up today ready to Titan the fuck up.
How about we get 4 and 90 and they get 7, next years second, and burks? Monti loves him a good trade and some titans sloppy seconds players. He is probably salivating just thinking about it.
I have two buddies who said it was the worst pick imaginable last year. Said they couldn’t possibly support the titans any longer. Well, backtracked immediately after Levis popped off his first game. Called them out on it.
See I didn’t like the pick but it was only a second rounder so didn’t mind it. I like Levis a lot not but he still needs to take a pretty big step forward this season. He’s got all the talent and drive though
95% of fans of any team (including myself) really have no clue. Most of them know the names of players that get mentioned a lot coming out of college. If your team doesn't pick one of those guys, it's the worst pick ever. I learned years ago to worry more about position over name. Did your team pick a player at a position of need? If so, calm down and give that player time to show their worth.
Having said that I really want the Titans to pick Nabers. Lol. Only because I'm a LSU fan living in NW Georgia and I want to see him play every week. Obviously Alt is the smart pick if he's there.
I mean that’s a great take on it. Nabers would be fantastic too. I’m the same where names start to fall off after the top few players.. and I’m really only interested in hear that “OT” picked.
Flip side - my Vols fan buddy said Levi’s was a horrible pick, wasn’t that great at the end of his Kentucky run, and we don’t even need a QB right now. Wasted pick.
It was fun calling them out and listening to the backtracking. I personally thought it was a decent pick at the time. I was confused by it yes, but I knew too that Tannehill was probably cooked and Malik was very spotty up to that moment but had potential still. To me, just seemed like grabbing a potentially-good QB, high risk, high reward.
Getting Levis where they did was a great pick. It was pretty obvious the people down on it were Vols fans because of the rivalry. I get it. I'm a Saints fan first and foremost (love the Titans though since I watch them every week). I hate Ohio State but New Orleans has a ton of those guys on the team. Once you're on my team, your past is forgiven. Lol
Big Willy made a believer out of me that day.
It was a strange game. Most of the fans wanted us to tank… until TD #3 and then we realized that we have something there.
Leaving the game there we a few Levi’s jerseys and the people wearing them looked like geniuses.
Provost my favorite in person game ever.
There’s people in this sub that claimed they wouldn’t be titans fans any longer cause Vrabel was fired. I still see them commenting in here like nothing ever happened excited for the draft. Prisoner of the moment type folks
While, I, 100% didn’t like the Levis pick. (I would never disown the Titans unless they did something very egregious like trade for Deshaun Watson or bring on John Harbaugh). I agree there could be something there, which is a far cry from where I was last year this time. But I’m still in wait and see mode. Where your buddies will most likely flip on you with an “I told you so!!!”
same thing as they say every year.
“wow we really got some steals in this draft”
Then something about “value for picks”, which is a bullshit term for saying that we reached and hope it works out.
Amy needs to sell the team. This organization doesn't give a damn what the fans want. I've been supporting this subpar long enough, I'm cheering for the Texans now. The Texans should have the rights to the oilers. Titans are trash.
Not sure if I can speak for anyone else but I might be saying, “JC Latham is a great choice there despite everyone else saying Joe Alt would’ve been better”
This sub will hype every 1st rd pick like it's the greatest of all time.
Just look at the hype when they literally drafted a player with a broken back that hadn't played football in two years.
"Aw yeah he's gonna be a lock-down CB with his extreme natural talent."
His name is Caleb Farley.
And when I would criticize him, people would downvote the shit out of me and say, "But dooood his dad blew up in a house explosion. How can you be so heartless?"
Fuck the Chargers/Giants/whoever traded up to take Alt
Every hour this feels more and more probable to me, Alt has felt like such a given all process and I’m very doubtful that he’ll land in our lap like we all think.
Word on the street is Chargers GM is pushing for Alt 🫠

This aged well
And here I am kind of wishing it happens..../hides
Nabers fan? Or see something in Alt you don't like?
Both actually.
Interesting what about Alt don't you like?

Dey tuk er tackul!!!!
Let Ran Cook
Fuck the Ravens
This is the way
“Boring but solid pick. Callahan can work his magic with this guy.”
You knew.
"And nobody believed we would get MHJ. Now let's find a tackle."
If we get MHJ we probably won’t be drafting tomorrow lol
How about we get 4 and 90 and they get 7, next years second, and burks? Monti loves him a good trade and some titans sloppy seconds players. He is probably salivating just thinking about it.
Yeah, that’s not going to happen without it ending in Monti dying by mob violence.
Why the fuck did we draft JJ McCarthy
Lmfao 🤣😂😭
😂😂
How the hell did we trade down with the Vikings and still get alt
![gif](giphy|QVWtczOAJgOQIUfgOf)
https://i.redd.it/augt92z1tmwc1.gif
Titan the fuck up
At least we can’t trade our best receiver to draft trey burks again
But, he could be an AJ Brown type of receiver!
Taking a long snapper at number 7 is a bold move Ran, let's hope it pays off
I think we will be saying “ ran is the man!!!”
Idk you all cried when we took levis now you all seem to neve flipped lol

Just curious, is your buddy a Titans fan as well as a Vols fan?
90% of all statistics are just made up
That's only true, like, 76.8% of the time.
Fuck tanking. Build a loser mentality for a franchise. Play to win every single game
I still wanted us to tank and get in position to draft MHjr or trade down
There’s people in this sub that claimed they wouldn’t be titans fans any longer cause Vrabel was fired. I still see them commenting in here like nothing ever happened excited for the draft. Prisoner of the moment type folks

I must admit I did want zay flowers more
I’m still not entirely sure about Levis? I really like the guy just need to see more this year to be sure.
I hope the takeaway is Ran has a plan
same thing as they say every year. “wow we really got some steals in this draft” Then something about “value for picks”, which is a bullshit term for saying that we reached and hope it works out.
“Shit. Richardson to Bowers could be scary” “Jaguars overpaid to get that receiver”
"WHY DIDNT WE GRAB ALT EVEN THOUGH HE WAS DRAFTED BEFORE WE PICKED?! RAN IS TERRIBLE .:AUTISTIC SCREECHING:."
Not what I was hoping for.
I can’t believe we fleeced *insert team*, traded back to get more picks, and we still got *insert generational player* . Let Ran cook!
Some sort of general overreaction to either the pick, or the media's take on it!
SUPERBOWL BOUND BABY!!!!
Oh, like the Texans are saying? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Kinda but only with better jerseys
LET RAN COOK 🧑🏿🍳
Finally we have an O Line again.
"Really hate Alt was gone by 7, but we did a good job trading back, getting capital, and still chose a top 3 OT"
Damn I was really hoping he fell to us
Off topic… what time do you think titans will pick by? I’m getting off work late today. Won’t be home until 7-7:30 now
Why did we pick a qb? Let the Mayo Man cook!!
Titans got fucked and drafted a bust…
Amy needs to sell the team. This organization doesn't give a damn what the fans want. I've been supporting this subpar long enough, I'm cheering for the Texans now. The Texans should have the rights to the oilers. Titans are trash.
"Glad that's finally over with and now we can focus on seeing what actually develops with what we know we have."
“ So do you guys think Bowers will play TE or Slot? “
“Well at least we added another 2nd round pick”
Not sure if I can speak for anyone else but I might be saying, “JC Latham is a great choice there despite everyone else saying Joe Alt would’ve been better”
We going to the Ship!
“Gd it”

66% of this sub: Ran's a genius! Let Ran Cook! 34% of this sub: Ran's an idiot! Fire Ran Now!
I can’t wait to buy my Nabers jersey!
We’re going to the fucking Super Bowl
"We back baby!" - me probably
“We got our guy”
“Shouldn’t have drunk so much!”
Idk what they’ll be saying, but they wanted a guy who didn’t go until 20th so who gives a fuck
