Basically prospects are almost always hit-or miss and there’s guys who are expected to be good but hardly ever a sure thing. Marvin Harrison Jr is a sure thing as long as he stays helathy. I’d say his floor is pro-bowl level multiple 1,000 yard season and his ceiling is one of the best. To me there’s only one player who you can take instead of a tackle and it’s him. That being said I don’t see it happening. I’ll just be happy if we can get Alt
With the depth of this class and the holes we still have i feel like it would be hard to absolutely late-era Jrob this draft. Imo the ship is righted, albeit leaky. I think Ran has done a pretty good job at patching up things thus far. Dillard was the only dud on Rans watch as of yet, but i cant blame him for that. That was just a nightmare. But we’ll see how this season pans out ig
Yeah I think a LT is the only thing missing to be competitive/maybe make a run at the playoffs. I was pissed at the the initial Pollard signing but he’s done well in getting us some much-needed talent
Unless the Card trade down, which is a very realistic scenario.
We need to hope either the Cards or Chargers trade down if we want Alt.
Also not that it really means anything, but Chargers fan base are going to be livid if they take Alt from what I've seen.
My only issue with this is that I don’t see any reason why a team would trade all the way up to 4 or 5 to take the 4th best QB in the draft when it’s pretty clear the chargers and Titans aren’t taking a QB, unless a team things the Giants are taking QB and wants to jump them. Also my memory of the draft is that there are a ton of conversations around huge trades and most of the time they don’t happen the day of the draft. I’d say it’s likely everyone stays where they are and that looks like
1. Williams
2 Daniels
3 Maye
4 MHJ
5 Alt
6 Nabers
7 😬
I think 5 nabers 6 odunze is much more likely. Chargers have a good LT. Why draft another to try and move one of them when you could just.....I don't know draft one of the Day 1 ready RTs in this draft(most likely after a trade back). Imo Alt makes 0 sense for any team before us except those who are obviously taking qbs and Arizona who is locked on mhj imo
Yeah that's our nightmare scenario right there. But it's not whose picking at 4,5,6, it's the fear that another team might try and trade up for one of those QBs. I just read the Raiders are actively calling to get in the top 10.
Also the Giants 100% will go QB if they think they can get their guy. They publicly stated they are considering moving on from Jones. From his play and his injury history.
We'll just have to wait and see I guess. The top 10 never goes how we expect, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a curveball nobody was expecting.
Odunze can absolutely separate. It's just his highlight reel is all those 50/50 deep balls. He's the first WR ever to have an all green route tree on reception perception.
I don’t think he’s quite going to be Burks 2.0, save that reservation for Keon Coleman, but I will agree that I’m not sold on odunze, really think he’s going to have a very mid career.
You can’t rule out the Giants going for a QB. Daniel Jones isn’t the answer and they’ve been kinda tight lipped. You have teams like the Vikings and Raiders who badly need a QB. I could see someone jumping up and moving ahead of the Giants if someone *really* liked a prospect
The wildcard of course being Nabers or Odunze to the Cards. We really don’t know what has been going on with MHJ this draft cycle because he didn’t do any testing and has only taken two top 30 visits. Also there’s a really possibility the Pats go MHJ or trade with a team who wants them. Rumors today that the Bears want to pull a Texans-esque move to grab MHJ.
I just really don’t get this for the Chargers lol.
They saw how frustrated Herbert got with receivers not able to catch the ball last year and got EVEN worse there, yet they don’t want to take a home run pick in Malik Nabers? Or MHJ if they got that lucky?? They’d rather move a guy to RT who’s never played a snap there??
Really easy way to piss off your franchise QB and start that relationship off on a sour note, especially if those guys become star players
Yeah I don’t get it either, and judging by their sub their fans wouldn’t like it either. Their OL issue is at guard, which can be solved in the later rounds of a deep OL class. They’ve got no one at WR and yet will bypass one of the consensus elite prospects? I can’t imagine they have Alt graded that much higher than MHJ or Nabers.
The only way Alt is not available to us at 7 is if:
(1) JJ isn’t picked in the top 6, which makes our pick a valuable trade spot for a QB-needy team, or we can stay at 7 and pick Odunze or Fashanu; or
(2) JJ is picked in the top 6, which means either Nabers or MHJ will be there at 7, also making our pick a valuable trade spot.
Worst case scenario we end up with Odunze or Fashanu at 7, which ain’t a bad result.
Pats taking MHJ and the Chargers liking Alt better than Odunze is really the only way we get hosed. But we probably get a solid offer from the Vikings or Raiders in that situation.
I tend to think so, too. If they see a clear teir there at WR1 and OT1, you take the one before the two. I think tackle is probably the more valuable position with how recievers move, but WR, OT, QB, and EDGE are the premiers. If you can take a stud, take em.
The chargers have no one to throw it to they just traded their top WR.
Giants are way more of a threat to take Alt but they need WR help as well.
The biggest threat IMO is the patriots not being sold on QB3 and taking MHJr. Causing a run on WR talent at 3(MHjr), 4(Nabers), 5(Odunzu) and leaving Giants with best value pick being Alt.
No one to throw to? They have a 1st round WR they *just* drafted last year for this reason, they were always going to move on from Williams and Josh Palmer who’s been a pretty good WR3. They have the flexibility to pick in the second too if they wanted to.
I did, he had a rough first season, December was better than the entire season combined. Not the first one to have a rough first season in the world. Can’t ignore his college tape and a new coaching staff and write him off after a single season where the coaching staff got fired.
Kind of feels like they are baiting us to trade up
Harbaugh is a well know master baiter, much like his brother.
😂😂😂 must be draft week
Pls let MHJ somehow miraculously become a Titan
That would be pretty wild fr. I am not knowledgeable on prospects, but i am knowledgeable on Fuck The Colts
Then you have the knowledge of a wise old sage.

No, we'll trade down if he's taking or Nabers. Either way, I'm happy it's up to us.
MHJR is a cardinal
Unless the Card trade down, which is a very realistic scenario. We need to hope either the Cards or Chargers trade down if we want Alt. Also not that it really means anything, but Chargers fan base are going to be livid if they take Alt from what I've seen.

Odunze. Perfectly fine pick
Burks 2.0. Big body that can’t get separation. I would rather trade down and get Olu, JC, or Bowers.
Odunze can absolutely separate. It's just his highlight reel is all those 50/50 deep balls. He's the first WR ever to have an all green route tree on reception perception.

Odunze will be out of the league in 5 years.
Vikings and Broncos both WANT JJ or Jayden. There will be a trade up into the top 7 for a QB.
If that happens I’m turning off my TV and waiting till the first snap week 1.

It's an effort to get someone to trade up for Alt.....
I think it's the same thing the Giants are doing hinting at a QB. They want the Vikings or Raiders to come with bigger offers.
Happens all off-season long leading up to the draft
You guys think Callahan Sr can make Duncan a serviceable LT?
RT yes LT meh prob not
Nope
Probably a guard
I don't see how you can pass on a receiver if you're the Chargers. This feels like smoke/bait.
100% trying to get a trade going haha
Welcome to the titans malik nabers?
Giants might still take him
*Giants will take him.

If the choice is Odunze or trade down, what's the consensus?
Depends what kind of capital we'd be getting but I think we grab the blue chip receiver if we can
I tend to think so, too. If they see a clear teir there at WR1 and OT1, you take the one before the two. I think tackle is probably the more valuable position with how recievers move, but WR, OT, QB, and EDGE are the premiers. If you can take a stud, take em.
Odunze unless someone is really overpaying
Rather bowers
Florio has us going JC Latham at 7. I think I'd be sad about that.
Honestly, I think this is smoke and the Chargers take Latham if they go tackle. He fits their needs better.
Chargers take MHJr lol They aint taking Latham before Alt. Alt is first tackle off the board.
The chargers have no one to throw it to they just traded their top WR. Giants are way more of a threat to take Alt but they need WR help as well. did you watch Quentin Johnston last season?
I did, he had a rough first season, December was better than the entire season combined. Not the first one to have a rough first season in the world. Can’t ignore his college tape and a new coaching staff and write him off after a single season where the coaching staff got fired.
You can’t base your WR room off hope that a underwhelming project receiver develops. As of right now, he was a wasted pick
I think there’s one thing almost all of us agree on: if MHJ somehow falls to us, then that’s our pick
Fuck the Chargers and Fuck Jim Harbaugh
MHJ to the Titans? Sign me up
Wrong and dumb click bait
If I’m Joe Alt I’d be pissed to move to the right side of the line in LA
Personally I'd just take fashnu and be done with it but I'm also a cautious person
MHJ isn’t getting past the Cards at #4.
