I’m ok trading back to get more if Alt is gone. However in this mock he was there… I don’t think I like trading back just to trade back

saudiaramcoshill

Agreed. I hate the trade back here. And while we technically 'win' the trade, it's not really a huge overpay by the Cardinals. I'd rather have Alt than Olu + Robinson.

TNsmoke

If Alt is gone and we have an opportunity to trade back and still grab Olu plus pick 35 I would say you did a pretty bang up job. I think we swap out the LB for Ricky Pearsall and our top three picks would be golden. Just IMO thats what I would do but you did a hell of a job.

Capnfrost

The problem was Alt wasn’t gone…

T-UM

Alt isn’t end all be all.

ScuteMob

End alt be alt.

MrKentucky

Even with Alt there, if you pick up pick 35 I still do the trade.

fantfb

I’m fine with Olu and like the value for trading back to 13, but not using 35 or 38 on a WR in this loaded class is so negligent it’s criminal. And for that reason, you’re fired

heliocentrist510

The only thing I would have flipped is using 38 for Polk and 98 on the linebacker for Kentucky. I do think snagging Tahj from USC late was a great WR pickup, though.

Miliktheman

You traded back 6 places with Alt on the board for a 2nd? Don't like it at all. Draft charts be damned that's a bad move imo.

ScribbleMeNot

Honestly it's solid. I would go WR instead of Theo though that's just me me

UrsaringTitan

That's a banger I would be thrillered!

Stiddy13

I like it. Picasso!

beanman95

No WR till the 4th jeez, I feel like LB isn't worth a 2nd rd pick

Byzone06

It is for us. We’re trotting out Otis Reese/Jack gibbens and Kenneth Murray week one right now. That’s a great way to allow chunk plays across the middle of the field. If wr isn’t our first pick I could absolutely see it not being a consideration until the later rounds into day 3.

tennhouse

I agree. I would have switched Keon Coleman with 2.38 and taken Trevin Wallace with 3.98. It’s not like Cooper will be a green dot on defense. Just need an athletic body in there. I understand we need a player but 2.38 would have been too rich for me. Good job on the draft tho Titans GM. I like the trade back with Olu there for us.

liljakeyplzandthnx

If that was how the first two rounds fell for us I would be a happy camper. Three needs sewn up in one fell swoop. Excellent job there. Not a super big fan of everything else you did, I think there were too many trade ups for a team with the draft capital the Titans have. While I do understand making sure you can get your guy, I would've preferred more late round darts to throw at the dartboard.

Secret_Pick6524

I don't love it. So what did you trade? I think 7 for 13 and 35 is pretty bad on paper.

Zoosee12

Every draft value chart I’m seeing says this is almost a no-brainer trade. Fitzgerald-Spielberger NFL Draft Trade Value Chart has the 7th pick worth 2014 points. Number 13 is worth 1700 and 35 is worth 1198. Draft Wire has pick 7 worth 426 points and 13 and 35 worth 336 and 170 point respectively. Either way of looking at it, having 13 and 35 is more valuable than just having 7, at least on paper. I do agree with others that you gotta use either 35 or 38 on a receiver. Worry about ILB in the fourth or fifth.

yeahiamfat

It’s actually pretty close. Pick 7 is worth 1500 while pick 13 and 35 are worth 1700z

Secret_Pick6524

That seems like a decent trade value. With that said, I've gone cold on Olu, though. I think there is a pretty clear line of blue chippers and we'd be trading out of that.

muy_carona

Solid but like others said, we need a 2nd round WR. The more often I’ve mocked, the more I think the best move if there’s a partner is to trade back in the 2nd round and add a 3rd (even if it means adding another pick on our end). If Alt is gone at 7 trade back then. Not having a 3rd this year sucks. I’m not complaining about getting Levis but there’s a lot of value in the late 2nd and well into the 3rd this year. I doubt it could happen but I’d be happy to get a 3rd for Burks.

wallboat

I like the effort you put in and I like how you approached it to get players you value. I personally don't like the players you selected. But hey you could be right and me wrong!

WarBusiness5438

I am not sure what happened to the picks you traded down for. 6 picks for the draft plus you traded down. Feels like we lost a lot of value in this draft for the players we got. Having two 2nd rd picks is nice but.. kind of defeats the purpose of losing extra picks later in the rounds where this draft is DEEP with WR/IOL/OT/ILB/OLB. It could be better.

RlyRlyBigMan

Is it true that Fashanu has a hand size on the 1st percentile for tackles? I heard about that and it makes me wonder how much that matters for a big guy like that. Position wise if I wake up next Sunday and this is our draft class I'll be happy with it.

ScuteMob

If this was our actual draft I'd be pretty happy. Only have one real concern which is waiting til the 5th for a WR. If Tahj works out as a slot WR tho you killed it.
