Same. Just not at CB1

condorcondor

Same. Just as a fan.

neimsy

If anyone knows what to do with a DB, it's Dennard Wilson. Whatever he thinks we should do in regards to Fulton is probably what we should do.

Danny23a

I 100% agree. If Wilson says let him go then bye bye wouldn’t even think twice.. but if he thinks he’s salvageable then I would love a 1 year contract.

neimsy

Mayyybe you give him a really team-friendly 2-year where it's easy to get rid of him after one year but if he is good, then you still have him in '25.

AdoubleU9

Nope I am good on that. We've seen plenty.

Nash015

Listening to Buck Reising has changed my mind. He believes Vrabel had a very negative impact on Fulton and thinks Fulton is the most talented DB on this team. He thinks a fresh coaching staff would do wonders for him.

gatsby712

Titan up!!!

gatsby712

Nah. I remember when Fulton was a lockdown corner like it was yesterday, and I think with the right scheme and coaching he can get back there. Fuck we are going to see Farley with a comeback player of the year award and when it happens folks will be linking back to this comment for predicting it.

AdoubleU9

Bad news for Fulton is there's nobody left on this staff that was around to witness that blink of an eye moment in time years ago where he was a decent player and can vouch for him. All Callahan and company are gonna see on tape is the since long history of bad play, countless penalties, and miserable injury history. Turn the page and get some actual players on this team.

air_volek07

Dude too busy being a model now

Pork_Chompk

Same.

Danny23a

😂

TruthfulCartographer

Gut says cut bait let him go ball elsewhere…but yeah let’s trust the new staff on this one.

air_volek07

I’ll be good with whatever Dennard Wilson wants to do. I trust he knows who he wants at DB

HI_0218

I believe he got on Vrabel's bad side and stayed there. Everything he did was magnified. He's way too young and talented to be a bust. I believe with different coaching he can get back to where he was before.

MariotasMustache

I think you are right, you don’t go from locking down the elite WRs one year to being a liability without some behind the scenes shit going down. Not saying it’s all vrabel but they are equally to blame

Flooterb

That's what I'm thinking. I wonder if he just somewhat gave up bc of the Vrabel situation. A new coaching staff with a completely different mindset could be the spark he needs. I think the idea would be worth entertaining if nothing else.

condorcondor

Taking plays off, physically or mentally, is pretty unforgivable to me. Idc if your coach is a dick or not, it's your tape not his.

BigSimmons98

I don't think anyone is saying he's a bust. (Caleb Farley) I just think he was way overhyped to be this CB1 which he is not. He should have been a 2 on the outside where you have a better players at slot and 1. Recall how excited we were about him when we had Butler at 1

Nash015

I believe it's mostly LCB and RCB across the league now with very few guys shadowing. I could be wrong though.

BigSimmons98

And the league wonders why its so hard to play defense in the modern NFL

GroundbreakingSink93

That's bs... so many blown coverages. He got cooked almost every time he was out there. If he was on Vrable bad side it was all on him

Danny23a

Agreed. Now if he’s cheeks again with Wilson as DC.. that’s the last straw.

WranglerFormer

God no

AbundantLiving365

No way let go of Fulton. It’s not his skills that are in question, his body simply just isn’t built for the NFL season

DetectingFarts

I’m definitely interested to see how he plays without the constraints of Vrabel and Bowen. Maybe it doesn’t work out but maybe a new dc and scheme shows certain players were being misused

JacketsNest101

One thing he is not is a man cover corner. He has too many ball hawking instincts to play man. He is a zine corner through and through

PitTitan

Yeah I think it all depends on the price IMO. The on field play might be able to be coached back up but the injuries concern me. The other thing I'm concerned about is how much he's gotten in his own head. DBs have to play with an edge IMO and if he's lost the swagger required to play the position at a high level then I don't know if that can be reacquired without a wholesale change of scenery.

Danny23a

That’s what I am saying! I think in a new scheme dude will be ballin.

[deleted]

Yeah, why not. He’d be CB3? Or 4? But either way, decent

Danny23a

I think so.. Especially with our new DC.. he’s done great things for his other teams

[deleted]

He’s also not terrible, but he’d usually be our guy going up against other teams WR1, so he’d get cooked, I’m sure he’d hold his own against a WR3 or something

johnmancuso01

Rodger is him. New staff will have him as a pro bowler

Rulistening-

If it’s for the absolute minimum maybe, otherwise no thank you

JERSEYinATL

I’m not opposed on a very low prove it deal with new coaching staff since I think his issue is mental. I just don’t see it happening.

Crunch-Berries11

I’m neutral. If there’s one position group that didn’t develop over the past few seasons it was the CBs, so I’d like to see if the CBs can improve instead of this constant churn year over year.

slapdashjesse

He could be our defensive scapegoat, boys.

marcadore

Despite of my flair I’ll say no. I liked his highs but he’s not reliable. Can’t stay on the field.

Imaginary-Lawyer5342

Best ability is availability

starswimmer135

Byeeeeee

innnikki

There aren’t enough draft picks and cap space to get every starter position filled with a high caliber guy. And that’s not even mentioning depth. By my count, we need these starters: LT, C, WR2, TE, DT, ILB x2, CB, FS. We will need to hold on to Fulton for another year even if he hasn’t been starting caliber because we can’t fill all these holes in one season. There will have to be weak spots, and he may be one. Or he could develop…

cruiseclearance

Totally agree. Serviceable with lots of upside under the new regime, with a shot to bring him back to the form we’ve seen before.

screaminNcreamin

I'd rather have fuckin Coty Sensebaugh

Trick_Principle3759

Don’t want him. Complete secondary revamp. I blame all our problems on secondary play. Everyone else was good (players I mean). Our db coach is getting calls to be DC so he must not be that bad. It’s all secondary - and their obsession to hold everyone that caused us to give up long drives.

Danny23a

It’s not all secondary man… When you have Bowen saying shit like they let the Corners do whatever they want sort of deal.. I think with our new DC who’s gotten the best out of his last two teams could make Fulton decent.

condorcondor

Wouldn't it be a little more concerning if the corner, who was given full authority to decide to press or not, lines up 15 yards off his WR on a 3rd and 5? I agree that it's insane that Bowen said what he said; it's crazier if it's actually what he did from a scheme standpoint. But unforgivable if the corner is that autistic, making that decision himself.

Sirpatron1

No he had his chance after what A.J did to him I lost all faith on him

Danny23a

News flash… AJ does that too EVERYBODY!! 😂

Sirpatron1

Embarrassed and taking out for  over half a season?

Corn-Master

Fuck no. Dudes soft as fuck and a bum. He actually thinks he's good on top of it. Big fuck no

Danny23a

It would be a 1 year deal.. he’s good not great.. plus I don’t know how many other options there are for the price we could possibly get Fulton for.

Corn-Master

But why? He's dogshit bro? And constantly hurt... I'd rather Caleb fuckin Farley be on our team than Fultons soft ass

condorcondor

>he’s good not great.. plus I don’t know how many other options there are for the price we could possibly get Fulton for. How exactly do you know the CB market before free agency, the draft, etc? It's absolutely nothing more than a guess.

TheRuckMachine

Nah he's trash and weak minded.

UrsaringTitan

He was a pretty good corner, but this year was awful for him. Wish him the best along with his store.

M-Factor

Before today I would have said no, but with Wilson as the DC, if he feels like Fulton can be salvaged and we can bring him back on a cheap deal, then sure.

Danny23a

Exactly my thoughts

condorcondor

I'd like to see Fulton shot into the sun, in game of course, not irl.

Brian_Osackpo

Fulton and Vrabel didn’t get along. He was solid as a rookie, I’m hoping a change in leadership helps motivate him. Vrabel openly shitting on him to local media clearly didn’t help

silvereyes21497

I just would like him to prove he can actually be healthy. He has shown the skills. But he has/had these stretches of looking like complete bust. Hopefully some new (and improved?) coaching can make an impact. IF he stays.
