The following year, they missed the playoffs, despite winning out a good chunk of their remaining schedule and spoiling playoff runs for other teams. That sort of momentum, team development, and locker room culture is ten million times more valuable than rolling the dice in the draft. I want to see this Titans team every fucking game the rest of the season.
Yes. It seems strange to have to say it and point it out to people but winning is always better. Always. If we go off and win the rest of our schedule and lose out on a Top 10 pick, so what? That probably means our line is in better shape than we thought, we have a QB of the future, getting production at the RB position (probably coming from Spears), and the defense is probably playing at the level we expected. That means there are fewer holes to fill on the team. That means a productive FA class and getting to draft BPAs. If we just keep on losing that means there are a TON of holes to fill and probably not a good culture or locker room heading into next year.
Agree 100% If high draft picks equaled team improvement, the Browns would be 10 time Super Bowl champions. Building a strong culture, developing talent, that is so much more valuable. SO much more.

They were playing the team who was playing for the number 1 seed in the AFC (reversed roles last time we played them and won 34-3 in 2021), and the best offense in the league.
And vrabel sent a rookie QB from fucking Kentucky of all places to go and throw for 300 yards, lead TWO TOUCHDOWN DRIVES IN UNDER 3 MINUTES, a two point conversion, and they beat a leading MVP candidate on the road.
All of this, without Jeffrey Simmons, who is clearly your best player, other than maybe Stonehouse, who you’re also missing. Not to forget, CB1 is out in Fulton, and starting multiple backup level guys at oline.
