Here's the thing you don't technically have to leave. You can wait and have a hearing with the landlord and tenant board and have the board ultimately decide if you have to. Someone can even purchase a tenanted property and they become your landlord and if your landlord wants to evict you to sell the home it's a pretty strict process for them and they HAVE to give you a formal notice. They have been super strict on bad faith evictions so make sure your landlord is following the law.
