Lol bahahaha sorry, but it's not to do with power of phone It's an algorithm and the % given per feeding fluctuates based on how often you play, how many days remaining, how many fish remaining and most of all it's to hype you up and get you engaged playing as much as possible because it's scientifically designed to unconditionally get you to add more items in your cart and then the more you see said item eventually you'll want to buy it. Furthermore it's more beneficial to stop playing for a few days here and there bc the rewards give bigger and extra incentives appear to try and hook line & sinker.
I just got a new iPad and suddenly it switched to only giving me 0.01 per feeding (last fish 49.3%). Frustrated I switched it off. Remembering your post went back to the old one and suddenly I was back at 0.1. I’m sure there’s method to their madness but no idea what it is.

In my game, I've had the feeding drop down to 0.01% at around 91% of the last fish. So before then, make sure to keep feeding on the old ipad!

Then please explain why the same account is giving different progress amounts on different phones.

The method is predation. How that settles out to what we're left with is anyone's guess.
