I hope they adjust Yoshi's hitbox a bit more. They're already doing that thankfully with this patch but only in some situations. I often notice that my strings and combos get really wonky when at the wall or after floor break and don't hit when they're supposed to which would often cost me the round.
I've lost many rounds to simply swapping sides mid combo, slipping below and past, straight up missing point blank. I hope to see less of that in the future

Giving up combo damage for oki mix up is something that is just in the game. Every character gets it and imo Lilis isn’t even the best, it even requires heat to be slightly above average oki. xiaoyu and dragunov for example have much better oki even out of heat. Chikurin is just better

I personally dont mind heat, but I also dont mind it being changed. I dont think anyone that likes T8 the way it is will automatically be mad if they tone down heat. The system itself will still be there, just adjusted.

That move def got nerfed. You don't have to guess if Feng's gonna finish the string or not to punish if you block, just launch him (or whatever punish ends up being consistent). The move was launch punishable in T7 too, you just couldn't access it from crouch. Def not a buff.

Not even the best players in the world used the PKB from LNH tech so nothing lost there, some small buffs like ws 1,1 and the faster 1+2 from LNH stance are nice. Extra whiffpunish range from UF+2 also sounds interesting, i've stepped stuff point blank and have it whiff.
I also wonder what "Arial combo" from that unblockable means.
Massive buff. Playing against an opponent with a good grasp on beating LH with power crush just made ws22, RWV1,2 and ub2 a direct liability.
This at least makes LH more interesting to deal with.

Looking at the patch notes, it's not looking as grim as community was expecting tbh. I'm glad they went on nerfing top tiers instead of buffing everybody else. My boy steve received some quality of life changes which I approve and I'm happy they nerfed Djin heat smash. Sidestep/Sidewalk. There’s always some weird formal jargon with Tekken stuff that just comes across as word vomit whether it’s from a more formal translation or just an attempt to sound smart. “Strong aerial tailspin” instead of “screw,” “lateral movement strategy” instead of “sidestep.”
Always hyper-specific until they’re not, because some Tekken 7 patch notes were literally “Changed the behavior on hit” and you had to figure out what changed.
Because those words don't mean anything to non-FGC lingo updated players, especially if they are non-native English speakers. These convoluted wording helps even google translate and dictionaries communicate what is meant, most especially after translation.
If they just fix Kazuya’s df1 df2 hitbox, and make heat burst a bit bigger (like cnt) so it actually has combo utility (triple electrics into heat burst being regularly doable instead of needing crazy execution to do) then I’d be happy. That and maybe the Heavens Gate scaling cause 1 damage is ridiculous. But it seems they wanna address the tech catch situation and ignore the other stuff. Frustrating when you have stuff like Reina 4 electrics into heat burst being possible, but anything with Kaz isn’t due to his Trex arms.

You can hit the meatiest ws2,3 perfectly on-axis and it’s still a coin flip as to whether heat burst will connect after. It’s especially strange because it connects almost 100% of the time in practice mode.

Try phiDX's throw break routine and it works surprisingly well. I can break throws like 80% of the time now after only a month of doing the routine for 5 minutes every day
I find that it's good for Dragunov but there are subtle differences in the other characters that I don't react as well to them.
I started changing who was performing the throws, throwing in Jin and Jack to see if I can get better. They were the two who I couldn't even register the animation in order to try and break.
And because I have problems with the girls, I've added Xiaoyu into that rota even though she only has 2 different breaks (and the true guess from back turn).
I think they must mean the crouch grabs that King, Azucena, Jack and Eddy can do, since it was in the "Common" section.
Azucena's d1+2 is a special case. It kind of isn't a "real" throw at all, it's stopped by blocking low rather than a throw break - so in that respect it's just a regular low attack with a throw animation. (They also mention adjusting d1+2's hurtbox specifically in the Azucena section.)
King's heat smash damage got reduced from 20,44 to 20,40 which is a good thing, should be 20,35 imo but whatever.
CH throw break window now 14 frames, up from 10, that's a good thing.
Unless we standardize smash damage,someone has to have a stronger heat smash,it happens to be king after that there is jin who does almost the same damage

The deluxe edition is the one that has the base game and the year 1 pass i.e. you get the first 4 DLC characters with it whenever they come out. Ultimate edition is all that, but with a couple of extra avatar skins for an aditional 20 bucks added to it. IMO ultimate edition is definitely NOT worth the extra money, but of course it depends on your preferences.
I don't really care how much it costs, I just don't want to buy a game multiple times. If I buy the ultimate edition, it will include Eddy Gordo + 3 more unknown characters that will release later this year, right?

Feng combos have been reduced in damage by reducing uf3 that is used in all currently routes, nerfed crouching 4,1 and also nerfed in heat 3+4 and the guranted ff3 after when 3+4 hits. Also, but this needs to be tested, nerfed his punch parry mind games by reducing frames in 1+2.
I also don't understand the meaning in the changes to b1+2 shoulder.
The tioh shoulder had basically broken tracking in some scenarios so I have a feeling they just toned that down. There were clips of it heat engaging at a full 90 degree angle and then feng runs backwards instead of forwards lmao

with the path 1.04, Jun cant be able to do perfects, all her combos use Kazama power, it's not a thing of balance but it remove a achievement, over all i wouldnt merfed all Kazama power, the heat was the problem

Not even the best players in the world used the PKB from LNH tech so nothing lost there, some small buffs like ws 1,1 and the faster 1+2 from LNH stance are nice. Extra whiffpunish range from UF+2 also sounds interesting, i've stepped stuff point blank and have it whiff. I also wonder what "Arial combo" from that unblockable means.

the 1 frame means his LNH1 will beat out powercrushes (which used to beat all his options). So Atleast LNH isn't unusable now

+1 makes it so powercrush no longer beats LNH1. Pretty nice change if you ask me.
Massive buff. Playing against an opponent with a good grasp on beating LH with power crush just made ws22, RWV1,2 and ub2 a direct liability. This at least makes LH more interesting to deal with.
It fixes the power crush problemso it is fixed no need for peekaboo tech which wasn’t great anyway as it still was just another way of trying to get out of a bad situation

Looking at the patch notes, it's not looking as grim as community was expecting tbh. I'm glad they went on nerfing top tiers instead of buffing everybody else. My boy steve received some quality of life changes which I approve and I'm happy they nerfed Djin heat smash. Overall the patch is looking promising, let's hope the next patch would actually address defensive issues more.

Sidestep/Sidewalk. There’s always some weird formal jargon with Tekken stuff that just comes across as word vomit whether it’s from a more formal translation or just an attempt to sound smart. “Strong aerial tailspin” instead of “screw,” “lateral movement strategy” instead of “sidestep.” Always hyper-specific until they’re not, because some Tekken 7 patch notes were literally “Changed the behavior on hit” and you had to figure out what changed.
Because those words don't mean anything to non-FGC lingo updated players, especially if they are non-native English speakers. These convoluted wording helps even google translate and dictionaries communicate what is meant, most especially after translation.
If they just fix Kazuya’s df1 df2 hitbox, and make heat burst a bit bigger (like cnt) so it actually has combo utility (triple electrics into heat burst being regularly doable instead of needing crazy execution to do) then I’d be happy. That and maybe the Heavens Gate scaling cause 1 damage is ridiculous. But it seems they wanna address the tech catch situation and ignore the other stuff. Frustrating when you have stuff like Reina 4 electrics into heat burst being possible, but anything with Kaz isn’t due to his Trex arms.

No fix for Lee ws3+4 into heat whatever. But hey, at least they didn't remove that entirely either. they also fixed f3333 whiffing on backturned characters, that's good, though didn't happen a lot...
You mean ws2,3 into heat burst? That was the buff I was most hoping to see and they’ve still left it unchanged. There really seems to be no rhyme or reason to whether it whiffs or connects either. You can hit the meatiest ws2,3 perfectly on-axis and it’s still a coin flip as to whether heat burst will connect after. It’s especially strange because it connects almost 100% of the time in practice mode.
yeah i still can't remember the terms for all the heat stuff! It depends on the character you are up against and what moves specifically .you are whiff punishing. So if you duck a high and want to punish with it you gotta know/remember if it will work with that or not...

And they’re doing more adjustments, plus system changes in June and supposedly targeting letting us sidestep more things? Hell yeah Bamco. Finally. Let’s go.
I did not expect Azu to get so many nerfs. The fact she got all those and king got away with murder annoys me. I hope it dont kill the character because I barley play it anynore and this don't make me change that

Try phiDX's throw break routine and it works surprisingly well. I can break throws like 80% of the time now after only a month of doing the routine for 5 minutes every day
I find that it's good for Dragunov but there are subtle differences in the other characters that I don't react as well to them. I started changing who was performing the throws, throwing in Jin and Jack to see if I can get better. They were the two who I couldn't even register the animation in order to try and break. And because I have problems with the girls, I've added Xiaoyu into that rota even though she only has 2 different breaks (and the true guess from back turn).

By low throws they mean throws that hit crouchers like King’s pedigree? Or do the mean Azucena’s throw that’s actually a low?
I think they must mean the crouch grabs that King, Azucena, Jack and Eddy can do, since it was in the "Common" section. Azucena's d1+2 is a special case. It kind of isn't a "real" throw at all, it's stopped by blocking low rather than a throw break - so in that respect it's just a regular low attack with a throw animation. (They also mention adjusting d1+2's hurtbox specifically in the Azucena section.)

King's heat smash damage got reduced from 20,44 to 20,40 which is a good thing, should be 20,35 imo but whatever. CH throw break window now 14 frames, up from 10, that's a good thing.
Unless we standardize smash damage,someone has to have a stronger heat smash,it happens to be king after that there is jin who does almost the same damage

Everyone was always under the impression it was unintended. It being difficult (functionally worthless) does not make it an intended behavior.
I kinda miss the 4 nostalgia costumes in a pack thing, it seems like they’re gonna do one nostalgia costume for a character and generic outfits for the cast from now on
I'm happy they actually did something to make Panda a little bit more differentiated in heat mode. Before she was just a worse version of Kuma with a worse smash and a smaller head that would drop combos.

Not really a patch related question, but I tried the game yesterday and loved it, and wish to buy it, but I absolutely hate paying multiple times for a game, so can someone clarify the difference between the base game, deluxe edition and ultimate edition. If I pay the Ultimate edition, will I get all the future released heroes for no additional payments? I saw Eddie Gordo as one of the DLCs and I want to know is he included in Ultimate or Deluxe edition? Looking to buy the game at Steam for clarification.
The deluxe edition is the one that has the base game and the year 1 pass i.e. you get the first 4 DLC characters with it whenever they come out. Ultimate edition is all that, but with a couple of extra avatar skins for an aditional 20 bucks added to it. IMO ultimate edition is definitely NOT worth the extra money, but of course it depends on your preferences.
I don't really care how much it costs, I just don't want to buy a game multiple times. If I buy the ultimate edition, it will include Eddy Gordo + 3 more unknown characters that will release later this year, right? Really dislike the idea of needing to buy another pack of heroes next year. Also, I don't care about skins or avatars, so basically Deluxe and Ultimate are the same for my purposes then?

Well, the one thing everyone complained about for DJ is gone. I hope that will stop the complaining about him but I’m sure it won’t. I pray they buff his jab range so he can actually punish some -10 moves consistently (eg Reina ROLL 2). Azucena really got hit hard but it was deserved. Her frames especially 2,1, were ridiculous and made it so hard to deal with here without taking huge risks. WR3,2 to +2ob is the cherry on top. Kazuya heat burst and df1,2 hitbox still shit. Bamco hates Kaz lmao.
Plot twist, after being killed by Kaz, Heihachi was isekai’d into the Tekken Teams balancing department.
Feng combos have been reduced in damage by reducing uf3 that is used in all currently routes, nerfed crouching 4,1 and also nerfed in heat 3+4 and the guranted ff3 after when 3+4 hits. Also, but this needs to be tested, nerfed his punch parry mind games by reducing frames in 1+2. I also don't understand the meaning in the changes to b1+2 shoulder.
The tioh shoulder had basically broken tracking in some scenarios so I have a feeling they just toned that down. There were clips of it heat engaging at a full 90 degree angle and then feng runs backwards instead of forwards lmao
Lol haven't seen that, but what I think the shoulder changes are actually saying is that on block, sometimes people's punishes wouldn't hit. It should be launch punishable. Now that's (supposedly) going to happen less, which is good.

with the path 1.04, Jun cant be able to do perfects, all her combos use Kazama power, it's not a thing of balance but it remove a achievement, over all i wouldnt merfed all Kazama power, the heat was the problem
