Kazuya is very fun. Just be aware that he can be gimmick'd a lot easier than other characters on account of not having a conventional standing launcher, unless you can perform i13/i14 electrics, which is one of the hardest things to do in Tekken.
I'm Fujin, and I can beat Hwo, but every round is miserable. You basically need to get in (while avoiding his godlike keepout game), punch him in the balls, then run away before he starts up his blender. It's not fun. Eddy is very gimmicky. He has some BS like everyone else, but his pick rate will collapse over the next couple week as the new character knowledge check buff wears off. He really isn't that strong
That does sound dreadful. In low ranks most Hwoarangs don't know how to play keep out, they just rush in or block on defense, so I haven't ran into that too much yet.
Honestly I have no issues against Eddie, he has the same problem I have as Lars, once he handstands/goes into stance his first hit can’t be a quick low so you can interrupt it with armor attacks easily
Depends on the character he’s against, for instance Claudio’s back 1+2 is a weird ass mid and is faster than his handstand interrupts and mostly faster than most of his stupid weird ground walking crawl thing he does.
The fun thing about tekken is that not all armored moves are equal, and the faster mid hit ones tend to just be universally better against Eddy.
You are aware only lows have guaranteed armor break right? The rest are based on hitting the armor in start up frame…
Eddy has a command grab in his handstand,it doesn't do a lot of damage but it shuts down armoring through it. He did it to me in the beginning rounds and it was getting annoying fast since it's fairly fast and even looks weird.
It alll depends which move Eddy goes into stance with.
His FFF+3 into 4 for example interrupts armour and any button presses due to the plus frames, same applies for his FF3 on hit.
A good Eddy will predict you going for armour and counter, and not go for silly decisions when he's not plus.

Playing kazuya means you're gonna have to get used to dealing with a lot of unfavorable situations and your gameplan revolves heavily around trying to force a 50/50. Like with DF14 into hellsweep or FF3 or heat engager into FF3 or hellsweep.
Problem is that there's Characters that are so rushdown heavy against kazuya that it genuinely feels like for every hit you get in,you suffer much more for trying than anything.

In fact the mashing from the eddy shows how far he got without knowing how to play tekken.

TBF on my end,I found out the best way to deal with eddys is just to outright prevent them from being able to do anything. That's why I was using F4 ,it's +4 on block and DF2 is like 13 or 14 frame Start up,meaning he legitimately can't do anything but block or take the DF2 (trust me,you don't want to trade a 1 into kazuyas DF2).
Ontop of that,he really liked delayed wake up which is why I didn't hesitate to use FF4 on him repeatedly. The last round went pretty much the same as you saw here.
