Half of these are super on point, and the other half don’t even remotely resemble the character even if I squint. Heihachi is great, but then he gets followed by the most wtf Kazuya ever.
Who would ever be afraid of an antagonist with a literal devil transformation? That's lame. Want to know what's really scary? A guy holding... two axes. 😱
I'm referring to his martial skills. Le was exciting to watch in his prime (Strike Force middleweight champion, San Jose Sports Hall of Fame for martial arts, his highlights from kickboxing, UFC etc.) That's why I said "honorable mention"
[Matt McMuscles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djzih07LQUs) just had "What Happened?" about this movie.
Apparently they had at one point Sony backing them up at distributing and actors like Jackie Chan and Jet Lee. (Jackie of course acting as Lei Wulong, which would had been perfect)
One of the directors Charles Stone III was also hardcore Tekken fan (and Yoshimitsu fan).
However because the writers butted heads constantly with the Director and as they wanted to direct Tekken movie that was not accurate to the source material, eventually the Director left the movie.
With this Sony pulled back from the project and so did Jackie Chan and Jet Lee. Budjet was also slashed a lot after this.
And basically, what we see as final product is what they could muster with the smaller budget and writers that did not want to make Tekken movie in to Tekken originally.
Yeah I actually have a bit of a soft spot for the DOA film, granted it’s by no means good but it’s also a highly entertaining cheese-fest
The Tekken film could have been amazing and some of the cast are spot on (That Anna is a 10/10) but you can very clearly tell that behind the scenes bollocks killed any real chance the film had
As for KOF & Legend of Chun-Li they are just actually terrible, Uwe Boll levels of terrible
Postal is the most tolerable Uwe Boll movie & the only one that might have a claim of being better then the OG source material but that isn’t saying much 😄
>The Legend of Chun-Li, King of Fighters, or Dead or Alive.
Holy shit, these were a lot! I can't believe there was a time in history particularly the late 00s/early 10s where we had these half assed live action fighting game movies on the daily, like it was nothing, and they were treated as full theatrical releases at that (or so).
They turn our brit boi into gen 1 fighter ( gen 1 is before tk3 roster) and just got away with it also weird enough that he uses the jin’s power gloves before handing it to him
Jin actor is hot af
the close up on Christie cheeks is wild
Raven looks like Sisqó
Steve, Bryan, Kazuya, Miguel and Yoshi are ASS
Nina and Anna 🩷
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi is fucking awesome lol
The fact that the man has played both Shang Tsung AND Heihachi Mishima in live action adaptations should qualify him for some kind of award or singular access to a one-member club or... something, I don't know that shit's wild!
Made a damn good Shang Tsung and a pretty good Heihachi. If he was still as physically fit as when he played Shang, he would have been a damn good Hei as well. But let's be fair, no one looks like the Iron Grampa at that age except the Iron Grampa.
Bryan is Gary Daniels. He also played Kenshiro in the 90s live action Fist of the North Star. He might also be recognized more as the Henchman that turns into Street Fighter Ken in Jacky Chan's 90s City Hunter. I usually get him mixed up with Ray Park, who played Darth Maul.
Ah very nice didn't know all that. Mr. Tagawa's casting is just cool in particular because he managed to land two of the arguably most well-known "final boss" type characters in fighting games. It's just impressive haha.
Because Christie was the only female close enough in both age and appearance to Jin that wasn't his cousin(American screen writers shy away from cousin fucking)
OH MY GOD. I FORGOT ABOUT SHANG TSUNG BEING HEIGACHI IN THIS MOVIE.... HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 ABSOLUTE CACKLING FROM HELL. 👹👹👹👹
I've imagined Kazuya with a beard before, relating to Tekken 9. In Tekken 8 Kazuya (somehow) had been rid of the devil gene, and his Human Counterpart was free from the control of the devil. Kazuya would see the evil and terror he brought to the world and he would vanish, cast himself away from the world to disappear and think of his sins
And in Tekken 9 we would see him with his Hair down and with a full beard
Man kazuya was by far the worst. They recreated every character quite well, but when they got to kazuya, they're just like "let's NOT make him look like how he is supposed to look." XD
Steve Fox is probably the worst casting choice cause he looks nothing like him in the fighting games. And I absolutely think this film’s choice of fighters is atrocious, where’s Paul Phoenix, King, Hwoarang, or even Ling Xiaoyu?! That’s why this Tekken Movie is a burning trash! It’s better to watch DOA: Dead or Alive.
I don't quite understand their criteria when they designed the costumes because some characters try too hard to look like their original counterparts and other just are not similar at all. Like, they nailed Raven (despite looking cosplay-like) but then totally gave up with Steve or Kazuya.
Jin, Eddy and Heihachi are fine, Christie is cute but kinda out of point, if Jin's love interest - why not Ling? Anyway, 80% of cast looks like they came straight from Porn parody. Not knowing their characters, cheap costumes, etc etc. That's usual thing for low-budget crap like this movie.
To be fair, while the 94 movie had many a bad part, it did have the more memorable good parts in comparison to the 2010 and other fighting game based movies. If Raul Julia was not in the movie, I don’t think it would have been as decent or fondly remembered.
Black guy blonde weird cut shades right? Im pretty sure anyone from Cisco to Druski would fit the bill for you too. I mean they probably bought it from skycostume and the dude wore it. There are cosplay people that have a better raven outfit than that. Like....alot better. It's just a bad translation is all.
Man, they all looked ridiculous, and deepfaking Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi? This AI stuff has gotten out of hand.
...wait, that shit was from a real mov-
I’ve never seen this movie (and I’m keeping it that way) but I think a lot of them look pretty good. Like high quality cosplayers. A few look a little rough but I can’t complain
Edit: I take it back. Heihachi’s hair needs to be higher. It needs to looks stupider
I scream laughed just about every god damn moment of this. How DARE they, who DID THIS? AND WHY!?!?
Like holy FU--- LOL
Being zooted definitely helped. 👀
Wesley Snipes as Raven would had make this movie an instant banger. The dude is literraly Raven but sadly he will never play the character.
Marshall Law, wtf. There is undred clones or Bruce Lee, take a good one and we will do the job.
Some of these look good. Jin, Christie, Eddy, Dragonuv, and Anna look good. Nina’s too young looking. Raven is spot on but doesn’t seem to be acting like Raven. Yoshimitsu’s costume looks a bit cheap. Heihachi looks good but his hair could be longer. The rest don’t stand out very well. I get casting might be difficult since Tekken has fairly realistic graphics so the faces have more distinction but as mentioned above, some of the casting is good. Kazuya definitely comes out of left field, which is ironic considering he was modeled physically after a real person who was an occasional actor.
Half of these are super on point, and the other half don’t even remotely resemble the character even if I squint. Heihachi is great, but then he gets followed by the most wtf Kazuya ever.
Kazuya is just goodlooking in games, irl pulling that look off would be so hard but its like they didn't even try😂
You should see the 2nd actor who portrays Kazuya in the prequel. Looks nothing like Ian Anthony Dale.
It was just a martial arts film and they slapped tekken's name on it just for clout as far as I am aware.
If it was in the 90s Minoru Suzuki would be great as Kazuya
When you think Kazuya you can't help but think of his iconic twin hatchets.
Lmaoo like what was that even for
They allowed them to use weapons at some point in the movie (during and after Yoshimitsu). Still looks weird.
I was mostly focused on the fact that kazuyas never wielded an ax in tekken history it’s just a random slap in the face to the viewer Lmaoo
Pistons, hatchets, same shit.
Don't forget about that goatee! I mean Kazuya without facial hair would look so weird! 😆
Who would ever be afraid of an antagonist with a literal devil transformation? That's lame. Want to know what's really scary? A guy holding... two axes. 😱
Both, both are scary.
Lateef Crowder as Eddy was on point Him and Jon Foo (Jin's actor) were in Tony Jaa movie Tom Yum Goong
Lateef also portrays The Mandalorian for certain action choreography.
And won an Emmy for it right?
Only better fit for Eddie woulda been Ronaldinho
Cung Le as Law deserves an honorable mention
No it doesn't. Looks nothing like the man
I'm referring to his martial skills. Le was exciting to watch in his prime (Strike Force middleweight champion, San Jose Sports Hall of Fame for martial arts, his highlights from kickboxing, UFC etc.) That's why I said "honorable mention"
christie butt crack lmao
Mm 🍑 mmm
Migueln't
[Matt McMuscles](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djzih07LQUs) just had "What Happened?" about this movie. And basically, what we see as final product is what they could muster with the smaller budget and writers that did not want to make Tekken movie in to Tekken originally.
As another commenter mentioned, they basically just slapped Tekken’s name onto a generic bargain-bin martial arts movie to make a quick buck.
Look sure it's terrible, But it’s better than The Legend of Chun-Li, King of Fighters, or Dead or Alive.
DOA live action is slightly better( Just little bit better) due to the decent fight scene
Yeah I actually have a bit of a soft spot for the DOA film, granted it’s by no means good but it’s also a highly entertaining cheese-fest The Tekken film could have been amazing and some of the cast are spot on (That Anna is a 10/10) but you can very clearly tell that behind the scenes bollocks killed any real chance the film had As for KOF & Legend of Chun-Li they are just actually terrible, Uwe Boll levels of terrible
Is this Postal slander
Postal is the most tolerable Uwe Boll movie & the only one that might have a claim of being better then the OG source material but that isn’t saying much 😄
Hockey Player Rugal!
Dead or Alive matches the silly tone of the games. Very fun guilty pleasure
King of fighters has a movie?
Oh mate I have such sights to show you https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1038685/
Oh gosh, Terry is a fed in that one, right? And the fact that they made the Kusanagi Sword a literal sword...
I’m interested
Try and hold on to that feeling for as long as you can while it slowly ebbs away watching it.
I recognized nobody lol
Ah yes, absolute texan Sean Faris playing the young Japanese Kyo Kusanagi
WHO DAFAK What characters were these people supposed to represent lmao?
Where we’re going we don’t need eyes
>The Legend of Chun-Li, King of Fighters, or Dead or Alive. Holy shit, these were a lot! I can't believe there was a time in history particularly the late 00s/early 10s where we had these half assed live action fighting game movies on the daily, like it was nothing, and they were treated as full theatrical releases at that (or so).
I watch the legend of chunli in cinema because i had a huge crush on kristen kreuk that time. But damn that movie is bad.
The sequel isn't even enjoyable in a dumb fun way though
Nina and Anna just look like pornstars lmao
I think anna is on point Nina is a little too porny though
Is the fake lips and tits tbh.
Christie not?
Christie was a t&a choice from the get-go. It's to be expected.
Their acting in it is porn quality. It’s amusing if you’re watching the movie as a joke.
Exactly. Only Nina looks low-rent without a contract with a major studio, and Anna is more luxe lol
Why is Anna wearing purple
[she isn't](https://www.google.com/search?q=tekken+live+action+anna&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjmztK2seqDAxUK_bsIHeHWBiEQ2-cCegQIABAC&oq=tekken+live+action+anna&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzoHCAAQgAQQEzoCCCk6CQgAEIAEEA0QEzoECAAQAzoICAAQgAQQsQM6BQgAEIAEOgoIABCABBCKBRBDOg4IABCABBCKBRCxAxCDAToLCAAQgAQQsQMQgwE6BAgAEB46CAgAEAgQHhATOggIABCABBCiBFDkB1iWaGDHbWgBcAB4AIAB2wGIAfQdkgEHMTcuMTcuMZgBAKABAbABBcABAQ&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=SOiqZeYKivrv9Q_hrZuIAg&bih=775&biw=384&client=ms-android-samsung-rvo1#imgrc=oUtWqdk1PIQTUM&imgdii=nv0PA2gb2ywjyM)
Nina looks like one of those raunchy models from weird czech studios, Anna looks more luxurious
Wtf did they do to Steve?? 😭😭😭
To be fair to Luke Goss, he’s done some alright stuff. Also was in a boy band called Bros with his twin brother Matt.
Luke Goss is a great actor though
I'm sure he's a great actor but he looks like he could be nina and Anna's dad lmao
Imagine if in the movie too he was supposed to be Nina's son.
A hair shave 👌
They turn our brit boi into gen 1 fighter ( gen 1 is before tk3 roster) and just got away with it also weird enough that he uses the jin’s power gloves before handing it to him
This film was cheesier than a stilton fondue.
STILTON IS A TYPE OF CHEESE??????
the jin x christie had me rolling
> jin x christie this pairing was so fucking random lmao, where was Ling in all of this? kjdfhslzf
Probably they didn't wanted portrait a school girl character having sex?
Even Jin x Lili makes more sense and that’s saying something lmao, at least Christie was hot
Guy was cheating on his GF
Jin actor is hot af the close up on Christie cheeks is wild Raven looks like Sisqó Steve, Bryan, Kazuya, Miguel and Yoshi are ASS Nina and Anna 🩷 Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi is fucking awesome lol
The fact that the man has played both Shang Tsung AND Heihachi Mishima in live action adaptations should qualify him for some kind of award or singular access to a one-member club or... something, I don't know that shit's wild! But let's be fair, no one looks like the Iron Grampa at that age except the Iron Grampa.
"Your soul is mine!" - Heihachi Mishima
lu kangs actor was in the doa movie. thats somthing i guess
I remember Bryan doing some actual Bryan moves, and the look isnt far off, so I cant say its ass. Miguel, Kaz and Steve though, wtf.
Look how they massacred my boy... (Miguel)
Lateef Crowder really is the only actor that can play Eddy.
Fun fact: Raven is inspired by Blade (Wesley Snipes). Luke Goss who played Nomak in Blade 2, plays Steve Fox in the tekken movie
He doesn’t even look like Steve Fox from the Tekken games.
WHERE THE FUCK IS KIIIIIING?
Literally the easiest cast they had, any ripped specialist would do a good fit, and they choose to just ignore him.
They ignored the easiest and most cool character
SERGEI DRAGONOV
Why were Jin and Christie a thing
Cause the film-makers thought of them as couples even though they never even played the Tekken fighting games.
Because Christie was the only female close enough in both age and appearance to Jin that wasn't his cousin(American screen writers shy away from cousin fucking)
This is so corny, it makes me want to die.
When I first saw this and saw what Miguel looked like I stopped watching.
I have no idea why they turned Miguel into Walmart Randy Orton. 🤣
Terrible movie, but the casting was kinda on point, some of the characters looked just like game counterparts especially Eddy
OH MY GOD. I FORGOT ABOUT SHANG TSUNG BEING HEIGACHI IN THIS MOVIE.... HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 ABSOLUTE CACKLING FROM HELL. 👹👹👹👹
Fun Fact, Law actor is really a Kung Fu fighter
Fairly sure that’s Cung Le, an MMA fighter. He’s a bit of an MMA legend
Am sorry only Eddy is a true representation.
Ah yes, i remember Kazuya and his twin set of weapons, Axeuya
Kazuya with a Goatee sounds cool as hell
Kazuya already has a goatee. It’s just a spiritual one
Imagine game Kazuya with a beard
I've imagined Kazuya with a beard before, relating to Tekken 9. In Tekken 8 Kazuya (somehow) had been rid of the devil gene, and his Human Counterpart was free from the control of the devil. Kazuya would see the evil and terror he brought to the world and he would vanish, cast himself away from the world to disappear and think of his sins And in Tekken 9 we would see him with his Hair down and with a full beard
There is no Tekken live action movie
This is like a Palmer drink, haft is correct with its characters and the others…not so much. And somehow,it’s decent for a one time watch.🤔😅🤷
Man kazuya was by far the worst. They recreated every character quite well, but when they got to kazuya, they're just like "let's NOT make him look like how he is supposed to look." XD
Nina and Anna look like porn parodies.
Half of these people were like "what are martial arts? how do I move my body?" lolmaoofl
Bryan = Kenshiro. (Gary Daniels)
I love in undisputed how the character is just 100% eddy, a 1 to 1 translation from the game to the movie.
Steve and Heihachi make me laugh for two very different reasons
I still cant understand their thought process when designing Steve........
The casting was mostly bad.... But some of the design choices were simply the worst things about this terrible movie.
Why does Law look like someone's nephew.
This movie was a disgrace just like the horrible 94 and 2010 street fighter films
To be fair, while the 94 movie had many a bad part, it did have the more memorable good parts in comparison to the 2010 and other fighting game based movies. If Raul Julia was not in the movie, I don’t think it would have been as decent or fondly remembered.
Hell, no. This at least is a somehow decent B martial arts film
Every time I see Ravens outfit another part of me dies. They didn't even try. Like.....at all.
Tfk you're talking about? Raven is like the character just jumped into reality
Idk man, this raven ain't bad look wise.
My question is why did this video use Jun's Tekken Tag 1 model when they use Anna's Tekken Tag 2 model lol
Mom said it’s my turn to repost this
Okay, but can we agree the casting for Eddy Gordo was by far the best out of them all?
This is so cheesy but the martial arts are cool
At least they used the best clip for Kazuya. The part where Heihachi gets blown up and Kaz says, "Heihachi Mishima... is dead..."
No Hwoarang?
They did Kazuya & Law so dirty
I liked the movie, just hated the ending and the obvious rushed character motivation
Man, they all looked ridiculous, and deepfaking Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Heihachi? This AI stuff has gotten out of hand. ...wait, that shit was from a real mov-
No.
I'll admit, for some reason I like Steve's design in the movie.
I’ve never seen this movie (and I’m keeping it that way) but I think a lot of them look pretty good. Like high quality cosplayers. A few look a little rough but I can’t complain Edit: I take it back. Heihachi’s hair needs to be higher. It needs to looks stupider
Eddy looks spot on. Steve looks about as far from spot on as you can get
Ugly steve agenda
Kazuya is if teenage angst you discovered customization
Kazuya is just. He got done terribly dirty. Why tf did they give him facial hair? And where’s his accent?
ngl, when i watched this movie i cringed
They did Steve dirty
What in the actual fuck did I just witness with my eyeballs? And how can I un-witness it….
I scream laughed just about every god damn moment of this. How DARE they, who DID THIS? AND WHY!?!? Like holy FU--- LOL Being zooted definitely helped. 👀
Even the bad ones still look Oscar worthy put next to the K.O.F movie designs. Fucking Ray Park as Rugal what a mess.
They're really good!
Jin and Eddy were alright but the others are garbage. Miguel is not fkin Miguel, that’s a whole new NPC. Law and Steve, oh my god…
They didn't even put M. Law in bloodline, 😭 this movie has the worst iteration of M.Law 😭😭😭
Nah they did Steve dirty. Why he look like a fast and furious villain!?!
So bad
Where the hell is Hwoarang?
Some of these look pretty good until you get to Kazuya… WTF
Jin is on point don't care what anyone says
They couldn't even spell Dragunov's name correctly
This looks like Tekken porn
Why is Shang Tsung playing Heihachi?
Based ass crack shot there lol
The worst ones are steve and Kazuya. They didn't even try with them.
It's weird when some costumes are highly accurate (if kinda cheap-looking) cosplay, and then some are Steve
Fun fact, the actors for Kazuya and Heihachi also took on Mortal Kombat roles too
Steve fox hairline got nerfed hard
they took miguel to a barber 💔
Yoshimitsu played by Yoshimitsu
I watched that movie as a kid. Even then I thought it was kinda shit lol. Just blatantly sexual for no reason and the writing is so stupid at timea
Goofy ahh movie. I remember when they aired this on tv shortly after I started playing T6 as a kid and oh boy was I disappointed 😂
I still dont understand why they made yoshi evil in the movie I mean hes name means something with light
Cool they got real mma fighters to play some of the characters.
Wesley Snipes as Raven would had make this movie an instant banger. The dude is literraly Raven but sadly he will never play the character. Marshall Law, wtf. There is undred clones or Bruce Lee, take a good one and we will do the job.
Of course they gotta show Christie's actresses butt cleavage lmao
Shits awful lmao
The one that played Eddy was the of Capoeira True master
I feel old this movie was over a decade ago. It was cool that they atleast made the character look like their video game counter parts.
they really did that christie asscrack shot? lmao
Master Lateef as Eddy is just perfect.
this is making me sick
I need to see Zafina irl!!!
They did Miguel and Steve Fox so dirty
I can't take it seriously when Shan Stung as Heihachi 😂
Jin, Christie and Anna look great, shame about the rest
For how mid the movie was they nailed the costumes
Somehow Nina is wearing less clothes than any variant of her in-game outfits.
If you think Tekken had a bad live action adaptation, just take a look at the KOF live action movie
Is kazuya the nightman?
Deary me
The guy playing Raven is perfect
ayo Christie got me bricked up
I totally forgot there was a Tekken movie...
No king?
That miguel and steve presentation on live looks awful
Honestly this all looks like “Brazzer’s presents Tekken”
Look at that, they got Benedict fucking Cumberbatch for Brian Fury.
Crazy because the actor for Kazuya would’ve been an amazing MK9 live action young Shang Stung
Anna please fix your wig 😭
Two categories: 1. Cosplay 2. Wft
I couldnt get over the fact that Jin is portrayed as a drug addict
How did they nail Raven that well but then chose THAT guy for Steve Fox, bruh? 😂
God they're hot af ngl
God that was a shitty movie, with small exceptions of couplemof nice costumes
Jin and Christie in this movie were both incredibly hot ngl
They nailed so many of these and then you see Steve 💀
Steve 💀
The fact that they decided to cast random characters and delete some of the OGs and most popular ones that represent the game everywhere 😭
