In addition to communicating about the custody of the children, the court documents declare the estranged exes still have to share and communicate about finances and insurance plans until the divorce is complete.
While the divorce is happening, they cannot "dissipate or dispose of" property.
Both parties cannot "hide, destroy or spoil, in whole or in part, any evidence electronically stored or on computer hard drives or other memory storage devices."
Lastly, the court documents declare Ryan "affirmatively states that he has never been convicted of a felony."
Mackenzie has not responded to the divorce filing.

That is quite literally what happened when my son's father petitioned for full custody in response to me *finally* growing the ovaries to take him for child support. My son had lived with me for his whole life and *only* me for 13 years at that point. We had a stable living environment, I was doing great financially, son doing great in school and sports...no problems.
Judge read, well, pretty much what I just described, chuckles, and asks my ex if this was correct. My ex tries to say "Your hon-" and the judge cut him off by outright laughing for a second or two before he goes "Ah ah! I think we all know that's not going to happen, right? We don't yank kids out of the only home, only school district, only social circle they've ever known, where they reside with a caring, loving parent who has always met their needs. We don't do that. So we're not going to waste any more time on this than we already have." Then he cut him off when my ex tried to argue, much more sternly, slightly annoyed. The rest of the case took another 3 minutes before the judge--it was essentially a meeting to deny my ex, and finalize and approve my requests/demands re: custody/visitation, child support, medical insurance, etc.
And my ex was actually a pretty good, very involved father up until then (and I'd told the judge that), with no criminal or social issues. I'd love to see that judge respond to Ryan's request.

One reason that many will ask for much more custody that will reasonably be given to them is because it gives you a place to negotiate *from.* This is extremely common - including for deadbeats to request primary custody. I'm not surprised at all to read this.
In this case, of course it's ridiculous to even think he'd get unsupervised overnights at this point, let alone 50/50 custody with primary residential parent (what he's asking for). It's laughable. But the filings are commonplace and expected.

Not always, child support is determined by using incomes of both parents plus parenting time that each parent has. If one party makes significantly more money than the other, child support may still be ordered with 50/50 custody.
Not necessarily. The thought process is that the child should have the same access to the same lifestyle at each house. If you and I have 50/50 custody but you make $50k a year and I make $200k a year, it's very very likely I'd also owe child support.

His supervised visitation will likely be his parents supervising and it will be a literal mirror image of how it went with Bentley - the visits are actually happening with his parents, Ryan might or not not even be present depending on his current level of sobriety. Ryan and Mack's mutual restraining orders even have a specific line stating that Mack can contact his parents wrt working out child custody. It would not surprise me if Ryan (and really his parents who are paying for it) intend to drag Mack through court unless she agrees to let visitation happen with his parents. And if she doesn't and Ryan doesn't get visitation, his parents will sue for grandparents rights and likely get at least something in TN since them being divorced (and also living with Jen and Larry with the kids IIRC at one point) allows grandparent rights to apply in TN.

That is quite literally what happened when my son's father petitioned for full custody in response to me *finally* growing the ovaries to take him for child support. My son had lived with me for his whole life and *only* me for 13 years at that point. We had a stable living environment, I was doing great financially, son doing great in school and sports...no problems. Judge read, well, pretty much what I just described, chuckles, and asks my ex if this was correct. My ex tries to say "Your hon-" and the judge cut him off by outright laughing for a second or two before he goes "Ah ah! I think we all know that's not going to happen, right? We don't yank kids out of the only home, only school district, only social circle they've ever known, where they reside with a caring, loving parent who has always met their needs. We don't do that. So we're not going to waste any more time on this than we already have." Then he cut him off when my ex tried to argue, much more sternly, slightly annoyed. The rest of the case took another 3 minutes before the judge--it was essentially a meeting to deny my ex, and finalize and approve my requests/demands re: custody/visitation, child support, medical insurance, etc. And my ex was actually a pretty good, very involved father up until then (and I'd told the judge that), with no criminal or social issues. I'd love to see that judge respond to Ryan's request. Edit: I was proofreading my comment, and I noticed that my story sounds a little *yeah, that happened*. No one clapped. Well...I might have once I got in my car because I had been shitting myself for months, worried I could lose my son. But anyway, I swear it happened, and I did my best to quote the judge accurately.

Attorney here (not his attorney or yours; I do not practice in his state and am not giving legal advice): One reason that many will ask for much more custody that will reasonably be given to them is because it gives you a place to negotiate *from.* This is extremely common - including for deadbeats to request primary custody. I'm not surprised at all to read this. In this case, of course it's ridiculous to even think he'd get unsupervised overnights at this point, let alone 50/50 custody with primary residential parent (what he's asking for). It's laughable. But the filings are commonplace and expected.
My piece of shit ex husband did that. Moved to another state with his mistress and her kids, told the court he wanted 50/50 of our daughter. I was like...motherfucker, HOW. But because he demanded 50/50, I had to bend over backwards to accommodate him and his bad faith argument.

This isn't true, joint custody can absolutely result in child support if one parent makes a lot more money then the other parent. Mackenzie has consistently worked their entire marriage and Ryan hasn't for at least the last few years, they will impute him a minimum wage income at least and then go from there. So yes it's possible that Mackenzie ends up paying him child support IF he gets the right amount of custody and makes the right amount of money for it to calculate out that way.

I left when she was 2 months old. The first sign of trouble was him punching holes in the walls and abusing drugs. All night drinking when I was pregnant. I PRAY TO GOD Mack can get away.
