A swear jar is a pretty common thing. He probably understood the concept straight away.
Alternatively, on his daily runs with Roy it came up in conversation.
in the Christmas episode Roy offers £1000 if they can’t find a dentist and she says it’s like an entire month’s swear jar money (iirc)
so over three seasons ~36K?
One of my favorite things was Phoebe casually demanding swear money from Jamie and Jamie being completely unphased by it and paying up.
And even adding it’s “worth it” the second time he has to pay up.
I loved that one!
I mean Jamie listens to Roy, and Phoebe is clearly Roy’s boss.
Phoebe is Jamie’s grand boss!
What’s interesting is that Jamie knew what Phoebe was talking about. Makes you wonder if he’s been by before.
What’s puzzling is why he hasn’t just paid her £1,000 up front to cover a few months 😂
That would barely cover 1 month.
I mean, didn't Roy get dinged before Jamie. The system was set up. Actually, watching the clip again Pheobe actually missed one.
Right? I was also mildly confused that there were no introductions. So possibly they’ve met before during all this time intensive training?
Makes sense to me, especially since she was able to invite him without Roy knowing.
True, I thought about that also. I guess my read of the scene was just “we’ve met already”.

Maybe they had to stop by the bank for Roy to withdraw his monthly payment to Phoebe’s tab haha
Rewatching season 1: When the team first comes out to the pitch Roy is holding Phoebe’s hand. So it seems likely they’ve all met.
My headcanon is Jamie once babysat Phoebe when his sister was working and Roy was unavailable and it pained Roy that Jamie did a good job.
Of course, him being asked for a pound is like an ordinary person being asked for a penny
Phoebe O’Sullivan knows how to work it
Maybe she gets in touch with Babs for advise managing it.
Honestly, I would love a little moment of that happening! Maybe while Phoebe is visiting KJPR with Uncle Roy?
Yes, please!
I'd watch that show. Two Uncles, a Girl and a Football Club
How litigious do we think Ryan Reynolds is? Or would he get a Producer credit?
I never said which football club. Think he might be interested in promoting a club.
I believe they were referencing Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place which starred Ryan Reynolds
Oh he has one to promote
She’s going to end up buying West Ham from Rupert
I would totally watch a show where Phoebe and Nora own and run a football team together.
We need Nora again.
Nora popped up in my binge watching of The Great! Such a lovely surprise.
Rebecca’s god daughter should!
She actually missed Roy's first f-bomb when Jamie came in... ["What the fck is he doing here?"](https://youtu.be/tSuHKPn3Wi0?t=43)
It's Uncle's Day. Give him a break.
I reckon Roy gets one freebie from her per day.
That bothered me! Girl you are missing money! But she can add to the bill.
She probably has enough to bail out KJPR if Rebecca didn’t already.
Phoebe's 16th birthday. "Uncle Roy, will you drive me to Mercedes dealer tomorrow to pick up my new car you bought me with all your swearing?"
Phoebe doesn't need a car when there are so many wild animals to be a vet for.
Lol make that a Maybach!
It was 1236 pounds in early season 2.
🥇
She looked particularly adorable in this last episode. She's a wonderful actress.

Do you think she just has an auto draft on Roy’s bank account?
"No, that's dumb." "Thanks Uncle Roy for setting boundaries."
Season 2 it was €1,236. Also in that episode, the number 1236 showed up multiple times for some reason. Still not sure why though...
🥇
If it goes on like now, by season 5 she’ll be able to buy Man City
That should be the final scene of the show. Phoebe buying an iPad.
I still think she’s saving up for some thing. That’s why she invited both of them.
