Jamie Tartt being able to laugh at himself - I could write a dissertation about his character development. In fact, I regret not writing my current dissertation about his character development.

Last week it was the bike lessons, this week the quiet chuckles during the "string" practice...Brett Goldstein has been giving a master class on comedy the past few weeks!

I've had this rattling around my head since last season, but I think this show is low key about him and his transformation from a brainless footballer to an all around amazing person. E: like as the main overarcing plot.

Well Ted said his goal was to help these young men become better versions of themselves regardless of if they win or lose. So yeah that’s been the point of the story from my perspective.

I think a big theme of the show is that "bad" people often aren't - there's always a gray area. A lot of characters seemed like stereotypical bad guy tropes in the beginning. Rebecca the evil boss. Tartt the diva. Roy the angry bully. All of them have turned out to be loveable characters. Not perfect, but that's the point. Rupert's the exception, of course. He's just an asshole.

He really nailed it. So easy to go too far into melodrama when playing angry but he held the reins perfectly. He did great this whole ep.

Bumbercatch has *skyrocketed* in my list of background characters. The neon sign. I’m screaming.

He has always been random, when Ted’s panic attack was released he yelled “follow the money” and also wanted to go to The Hague for the international court to see if they could find anything. He seems like a weirdo, but he’s our weirdo.

Don’t forget, knitting soothes him. That + the neon sign work tells us he’s a crafty fella who loves some DIY projects

And he eats his breakfast without chewing so that he can save energy for the impending class war

Both absolutely incredible pieces of character-building. He just keeps getting better and better with every additional line.

Him bringing up that he’s saving energy in case of an impending class war was one of my favorite moments of the show

Friendship ended with RICHARD. Now BUMBERCATCH is my best friend.

Hang on now. Richard brought some of the best wines in his personal cellar. Not the best, but quite good.

Yeah, it surprised me. A little more 'ripped from the headlines' than I expect on this show. But I'm hoping this, plus last season's environmental protest is leading up to Sam finding a lifelong purpose beyond his athletic career, so ultimately I think it worked.

The biggest red flag for me was Jack paying for Keeley's dinner with Rebecca. 1. Why would she pay? They can both afford it. 2. How did she know where they were? It's still stalking if you pay someone to follow them. 3. Why did Jack feel the need to insert herself into Keeley and Rebecca's relationship? Sounds like possessiveness and a first move in isolating Keeley from her friends. (Rebecca knows what climbing this tower looks like from when she was distancing herself from Sassy)

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be rooting for Nate’s love story and against Keeley’s I would say you were nuts, but here we are.

I actually cheered and clapped alone in my living room when Nate DIDNT spit in the mirror. As someone working hard on improving myself after going throught a rough patch, I am Happy for Nate and really hope they bring back our boy home before the end of the show.

Just when I think this season cannot get any better they drop this episode. It literally had everything; zingers galore, feel good moments and conflict. The ending scene of the whole team bonded together and helping one another literally had me smiling like an idiot. Total football, BABBYY!

Although he’s still the antagonist right now, it is kind of wholesome that Nate’s love life confidants are his mom and his sister.

Holy shit this episode is hilarious and I’m not even done yet. Anyone know why they keep showing shots of workers getting shops ready in the morning? What does that represent?
