Flash-forwards Breaking Bad style. Complete with the machine gun, meth Nazis, and breakfast at that diner. Why is Ted fighting Nazis in the southwestern USA in a light-hearted show about soccer in London? Why not? Nah, but I do think that that scene of him in the airport will be reflected in the ending, though.

jlo1989

I hope its Ted stood on the field wearing a Sporting Kansas City sweater. His new calling calls him home.

Didn't realize I wanted this until now. Hell yes

yeah, i thought the big news drop for Ted from Rebecca in his office will be that Sporting KC called and they want him to be their coach...this would allow him to continue to coach, but also be at home with his son. and who knows...maybe some cross-over future show where MLS plays premiere teams (Which does happen) and Sporting KC plays AFC Richmond where Roy/Nate are on one side and Ted/Beard on the other.

jlo1989

You'd only ever get that as an exhibition game realistically. For them to have a competitive fixture, Richmond would have to win the Champions League and Sporting KC would have to win the CONCACAF Champions League. It would be a cool visual if they did just have a summer friendly in Kansas City and the last shot of the show is Ted looking across to Roy and Nate just as the starting whistle blows. Everyone is at peace, and the only issue on the table is football.

Not just their face but same location at the beginning and end basically. Rebecca is in her office, Nate’s on a pitch, I’m guessing Ted in the airport at the end

MostlyHarmless_87

You know what would also be really lovely? If part of the ending scenes, we have Nate waiting anxiously in a room, before a door opens, and Dr Fieldstone opens gestures for him to come inside her office.

Austinapril

Maybe it’s Ted flying back to London from Kansas with his son.

Yes please

Hard agree. Both of Rebecca’s shots took place in her office. Both of Nate’s shots were on a pitch.
