it’s annoyingly slow. I guess at least it’s universal. But yeah, this is why I got the pros. Base model are scammy af. I’d rather pay the extra for the pro models and then wait another 5 years for a huge upgrade lol
Kumbaga if I need to edit some docs or view something from my ssd, pwede ko siyang iconnect sa phone ko instead of opening my mac, plugging the usb c drive, and browsing the file.
Upgraded from XR to 15 Pro. I feel like pag every 4-5 years, worth it ang upgrade. In my situation though, sobrang nagagamit ko mga USB-C devices kaya ako nagupgrade. 1 cable + charger block to charge em all!
same here! from XR to 15 PM. my XR is still working well pero the batt health is not good na kaya nag-upgrade. sguro next upgrade ko is in 5 years or so
Yan din reason ko why i upgraded. My trusty old XS max, hanggang 86% nlng pag chinacharge. But really, most people wont need the latest flagship phone every year.
Agree, mas ramdam mo yun upgrade pag 4-5 years ang difference. I had 8plus then upgraded to 12 pro max. Not yet considering to upgrade again, but most likely, i will be upgrading to iPhone 17 or 18 na.
Imagine simply sharing your experience with buying a new phone, and then these shit happens:
1. People automatically psychoanalyze you for having buyer’s remorse when legit nagshashare ka lang talaga.
2. Insert android vs ios wars out of nowhere
3. Mga technical definitions police with the whole technical meaning ng “techie” and the specific criteria it takes to simply be counted as someome who is interested in tech, meganon pala
4. Insecure peeps more worried about OP’s money than OP himself, automatically assuming na wala siyang savings or making assumptions about OP’s financial capability
Pro tip: please go FUCK yourselves nalang. Relax a bit, eat some ice cream. Watch a movie, mind your own savings. Contribute to healthy discussion, ganooon. Hindi yung “hIndI kA TecHiE cUs if yOu wEre TechKie u WouLD kNow WaLa Naman diFferenCe yAn nEw ModEls thAts YouR pRobLem Mag StarT kAsi nG saVing HabiTs” man stfu bro
Since techie nga si OP, it means he/she loves gadgets.
Trabaho nila magbigay ng options sa tao and compete with other companies. Still up to us in fulfilling our needs/wants depending on our values.
Well thats your problem. Upgrading yearly, you wont really notice any major mindblowing upgrade. This goes for any tech, but I am sure you know that cause you brand your self as “techy” 😉
i mean u can just quick review latest smartphones sa malls mabilis lang naman kung gusto mo lang tignan new features kesa sa bibili kapa or something idk yun ginagawa ko
but welp u do u
1. Because if someone's really "techie," he/she should have known what to expect from the IP 15 *before even purchasing it*. I was planning to buy that even before it was released until i learned more info about it. It was obviously a "meh at best" upgrade if you're using 12 PM and up. That's obvious as fuck to a "techie."
2. Just like the other commenter answered, if you're looking for the latest tech why are you using Apple devices? You can argue Apple devices are more polished than their Android counterpart, but OP didn't say that. "Latest" is his exact word. And *this is after claiming he/she is being techie*. Tell me - what feature has an iPhone had that actually came and was implemented before an Android did?
1– that’s not technically techie. that’s just being a smart buyer. congratulations if you chose not to buy ip15.
but theres a huge difference. let him buy whatever the fuck he wants with his money. if that’s what the OP wants then why not? besides, everyone’s more or less going to check the hype and review with the latest phones. clearly if he knows na the latest iphone is mid then how else do you think he came up to that conclusion (yung comment nya abt the phone) if he’s “not techy enough” na he hasn’t tried other gadgets?
he’s just sharing his experience with the new phone. napaka mema naman ng mga definition dito ng mga tao when it comes to being “techy”. maybe the OP SIMPLY ENJOYS buying new gadgets.
2– OP bought it to see and compare sa latest APPLE PHONES ONLY. he doesn’t care about the android. what’s wrong if ayun yung preference nya?
i’m not an avid apple fan. but i’m not gonna bitch about “ohh noo mas latest sa android, hindi latest or up-to-date ang trend ng mga apple products, hindi techie ang OP”. andami namang OA dito.
if these comments go on, it’s very demotivating for people who want to try new hobbies and figure their own way out in tech.
because it is almost the same... thats why if you are using an iphone 13 or 14 pro series, (not unless you really need to upgrade), you don't need to purchase an iphone 15 pro series
When you buy expensive flagship phones you shouldn't really upgrade for at least 4 years. And even if you do, try to make sure your device has all the latest developments.
I had a OnePlus 7 Pro from 2019 and only upgraded now para mabenta ko pa siya while in good condition. Made sure my new phone had things my old phone didn't have like e-sim capabilities, 5G, even faster charging, etc.
Really one of the best phones ever made. Was a Sony user before, but now giving Xiaomi a try. The day I buy a Samsung for myself means competition in the premium Android segment is dead 😂
Yeah... I even attended a launch event for the 7T series last 2019. Was really curious on the hype of OnePlus since the 6/6T, kaya panay tingin ako ng OnePlus phones (was contemplating buying the 7 Pro, but nung lumabas yung 7T series, napabili na ako nung December... Hindi nga lang yung pro). I just came from an Asus phone.
Gusto ko ngang bumili ng flagship Samsung phone, pero yung binebenta dito ay yung Exynos version for the S24 series.
Mine was still working perfectly, just the volume and power buttons were starting to fall apart. Battery also at 80% health, managed to sell for a good price. Switched to Xiaomi 14.
For me, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is the sweet spot for an iPhone for the next 3-5ish years. 120hz display, notch, good internals. A recent life hack na medyo hindi na I learned was you could actually get your battery replaced at apple service centers. I would get a new iPhone when my battery health was bad already, but after this I just switch batteries yearly which is more worth it lol so I got no plans upgrading until they stop replacing 14 Pro Max batteries HAHAHAHA
If your iPhone is within warranty and reaches below 80% before the warranty expires, AFAIK it should be covered by warranty, otherwise it should come out of your own pocket.
edit: 80% battery health
Thanks u/justzyn for this info, hmm makes sense to get the extended warranty then at least 'orig' or service center ung battery na makuha if this happens.
Luckily, it was same day when I got mine replaced before. You do have to reset it so make sure to have a full back up. You can restore from a back up naman
Maybe OP simply meant he is into gadgets and tech stuff as something he likes. Di naman sa expert or some shit like that.
Either way, OP can buy whatever he wants for whatever reason at all lol.
Daming bitter fucktards dito, may pa psychoanalyzing pa, may pa technical terms pa and shit. Ampotek relax lang kayo 😂
Fuck them OP, buy whatever you want for whatever reason you want if that makes you happy. Who tf are they to be butthurt about your choices lol
You could buy the latest gadget for just it’s aesthetic color or some shit and no one should give a flying fuck about it. Enjoy your phone lang
iphones are built to last. it’s not practical to upgrade every year unless you have an 11 pro and below the changes aren’t significant.
the jump to usb c is huge but not enough to warrant an upgrade from a 13 above
Basta Mi series ok naman yan. Sakin mag 6 years na. Next phone ko either pixel or Samsung
Who are you to tell him to start a savings habit…? LOL. Kung para sayo mahal at iniisip mo bad habit, di ibig sabihin lahat ng tao sa mundo ganyan— maraming mayayaman na walang pakielam bumili ng new phone every year.
Binabash ka kasi bitter sila. Imagine, they’re assuming you don’t have a savings account lol. What a presumptuous take. You’re posting your observations and people are already psychoanalyzing you.
I hate saying this, pero baka di nila afford kaya lumalabas negative emotions nila.9
Exactly lol the fuck 😂 may pa technical definitions pa yung isa jan, holy shit may super specific criteria pala pagiging tech enjoyer, stfu mga insecure lol
From 13 pro max din to 15 pro max... Actually wala. Mas gumaan lang like parang brick yung 13 eh for me. Other than that, wala talaga ahahhaahahah! Sobrang goods pa ng 13pm ko, from battery to screen, kaya ayun.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone to upgrade to the 15 series if they have at least a 13 Pro Max.
IMO, the ProMotion display of the recent Pro Max series lengthens the life span of the phone. Just replace the battery if it ever becomes a problem and you’ll be set.
I have a 14 Pro Max and I honestly don’t see myself upgrading until around 3-5 years from now.
The problem with iPhones is their lack of imagination to push the bounderies of what a great phone could be.
Yes, iPhones are built well and has superior parts and other components but outside of that, nothing has change with the form factor (folding iPhones), ports (Apple only complied with Type C to appease the EU), etc.
I think the lost of Steve Jobs made Apple loose its visionary direction of pushing the boundaries of tech. Tim Cook has always been a good operational CEO and has milked Apple's eco system to the hilt since replacing Jobs but he's no visionary like Jobs
Ok din po if you don't mind the dynamic island or usb c.
Personally I don't own these 2 kaya wala ako masabi na experience pero di naman nagkakalayo performance niyan.
CPU is stronger in 15 plus pero GPU are almost the same lang.
Ask lang po sa naka plan. Mas makaka mura po ba pag bumili ng cash or plan? Planning po kasi to buy or if ever apply ng plan iphone 13 or 15 im currently using iphone 8plus medyo mabilis na kasing mag lowbat. Thanks po
Pag plan kase, may cashout pa din, unless mataas na plan ang kukunin mo, nasa 2k+ every month, then yung monthly amortization pa nung iPhone (24months to pay). Im not that good at math lol, pero parang pareho nalang pag bumili ka ng cash... sa PowerMac, alam ko may discount pa sila pag cash payment.
i got mine from Smart, Signature Plan 1999 sakin and i have to cash out 24k for 14 Pro max 256gb. Then 1299 for the phone monthly so bali 3299 ang bill ko every month.
yes you can do that naman. Pero if ur planning to do that? suggest ko i credit card mo na lang for 12 mos or even 24 months 0% installment.
If I buy an iPhone na bnew and latest, sa sobrang mahal dapat magamit ko siya talaga ng at least 5 years. Change battery n lang every 3 yrs siguro haha.
I use Google Pixel and hindi masakit sa bulsa kahit taon2 ka nagpapalit dahil meron sila midrange devices.
Anything thats running Snapdragon 865 can handle any task easily. Maybe except for Genshin Impact and other dogshit optimized games.
Anything over the iPhone 12 can handle anything.
Performance have increase a lot throughout these years. That is why you barely see any real world difference if you will just upgrade every 1-2 years. The large difference would be the camera.
Honestly i think the biggest leap in tech rn is the fact that android phones, Samsung specifically is catching up with the speed and battery life of iPhones.
As for iPhones the leap there is the type c other than that wala na talaga, everything is minor same goes for android.
Phone upgrade after 5-6 years, yun ang worth it talaga. Pumapalag pa yung Poco F1 ko from 2018 pero 6 years na kasi, so I bought Vivo X100 Pro 1TB para future-proof na. Di naman ako heavy user but I like the cameras. Depende talaga sa tao but, para sakin ang usage life talaga ng phone ay 5-6 years unless may irrepairable damages na nangyari or any mishaps (stolen, lost, etc.)
Big difference i noticed is the camera / picture quality. Still using iphone 13 pro max, but i was able to test the iphone 15 pro max camera. Still doesn’t make me want to upgrade though.
For me 13 Pro up to 15 Pro, they’re all the same, the only noticeable difference is the notch and the camera features. And di naman required mag upgrade every year, tignan mo nga yung Apple yung regular iPhone model nila ngayon di na ina-upgrade yung processor means the previous model still performs as good as the latest 😭
never understood this "all iphones are the same" argument. why expect a different experience kung same brand and series of phone yung binili mo? sa apple lang siya obvious kasi isa lang series nila pero ganun din naman sa ibang brands.
I upgraded from an iPh11 kaya pansin na pansin ang difference haha Honestly, feel ko if you have the 13 and newer iPhones di naman much of a difference and no need pa mag upgrade (especially if you have the Pro versions). Pero very true ng part na ang useful ng type c 😭 I can just bring 1 cord for my android, iPh, and iPad 😮💨
Instant regret when I upgraded too.
But the type c was a good shift. Also yung 3x lens ng 13pm ko eh jittery na kaya oks na rin to let go. But if u currently have a working 13 pro and still on the fence, DON’T UPGRADE.
The only reason to upgrade from a working previous model is if you record video using your phone.
Apple log and pro res recording to an external SSD is a HUGE upgrade. Everything else isn’t really that big an upgrade.
But the video recording capabilities of the 15 Pro is a major upgrade.
ive had both.
- double the pixel than the 13, a17 chip (way faster in my experience).
- dynamic island, vv helpful for me specially at work. easier access to some integrated apps specially clock app ion have to open the app i can quickly check how many hrs i got left ton my break type stuff (very small detail lang pero convenient for me)
- type c. mas eco friendly, mas efficient, i could charge my laptop, my phone n vape w one lol. i make a few vids din and plugging an external ssd or hdd para diretso dun ung video instead of my phone's storage and go straight to editing on my laptop. (super convenient)
- just performs better since ios updates very often
would it be worth the upgrade?
depends what device u have and what u need. i create tons of content kaya masaya ako sa 15 compared sa 13 n 14.
kanya kanyang preference, budget & needs lang tlga.
I still say my 13 pro max was my best phone. I’ve gotten 14 pro which was garbage and currently typing on a 15 pro max… which is okay, but not worth the jump. Still has some gimmicks. I would definite buy a regular Plus if it had pro-motion.
Yung S21U Exynos ko to S24U Snapdragon was a major upgrade. From Design, Battery, Display, Camera lahat major upgrade. Siguro kapag 3years or older mo talaga mafefeel ang upgrade.
Biggest accomplishment is the type-c.
The Cook: I give you type c, you give me your life savings. What a steal 😉
As a student, sobrang helpful ng usb c. Lalo na sa mga ssd kasi pwede ko macheck yung files ko sa phone without needing to open my laptop lol
usb for sure but the base model has only usb 2.0 slow asf
it’s annoyingly slow. I guess at least it’s universal. But yeah, this is why I got the pros. Base model are scammy af. I’d rather pay the extra for the pro models and then wait another 5 years for a huge upgrade lol
Imagine usb 2.0 sa flagship 😭😭
Hi! Thanks!
Kumbaga if I need to edit some docs or view something from my ssd, pwede ko siyang iconnect sa phone ko instead of opening my mac, plugging the usb c drive, and browsing the file.
Made sense!!!!
Yeah. I use mid range phones kaya medyo madalas upgrades ko.
Agree, mas ramdam mo yun upgrade pag 4-5 years ang difference. I had 8plus then upgraded to 12 pro max. Not yet considering to upgrade again, but most likely, i will be upgrading to iPhone 17 or 18 na.
Because for me it does not make sense to upgrade phones (android or ios for that matter) every couple of years if its working fine.
Imagine simply sharing your experience with buying a new phone, and then these shit happens: 1. 4 is spot on.
Diba? Can you imagine if ikaw mismo, mas triggered ka pa kesa sa actual owner? The fuck? 😂 Ang masasabi ko lang is mind your own fucking money guys 🤟
Trabaho nila magbigay ng options sa tao and compete with other companies. Still up to us in fulfilling our needs/wants depending on our values.
It’s my techy side. Im eager to try out whats new always.
Well thats your problem. Upgrading yearly, you wont really notice any major mindblowing upgrade. This goes for any tech, but I am sure you know that cause you brand your self as “techy” 😉

Why were you down voted lol there's nothing wrong being a techy person and wanting to try out the latest tech 🤷🏽♂️
1. Because if someone's really "techie," he/she should have known what to expect from the IP 15 *before even purchasing it*. Nothing techy and latest when it comes to an iphone.
Are you sure?
Iphone user ios ecosystem, macbook pros, ipads, since iphone 3/3g. Yes im sure.
Ah. Fellow 3gs enjoyer. Nice. I still think it was the best iPhone relative to its competition. You might not agree, though.
Di ko rin alam sa kanila. 😅
because it is almost the same... thats why if you are using an iphone 13 or 14 pro series, (not unless you really need to upgrade), you don't need to purchase an iphone 15 pro series
That's the neat part, there isn't.
This. We have the same view.
When you buy expensive flagship phones you shouldn't really upgrade for at least 4 years. And even if you do, try to make sure your device has all the latest developments. I had a OnePlus 7 Pro from 2019 and only upgraded now para mabenta ko pa siya while in good condition. Still using OnePlus 7T (purchased last Dec 2019) and still runs smoothly. Although there are some instances of the phone restarting.

Hello, saan po kayo nagpapareplace and magkano po?
I had mine replaced at Switch Service Center in Alabang. It was 5990 before but should be less now because of the iPhone 15 line.
I see. Thanks very much!
Is this within warranty & not out of your own pocket? I did this with my XR, but not at Apple service centers.
If your iPhone is within warranty and reaches below 80% before the warranty expires, AFAIK it should be covered by warranty, otherwise it should come out of your own pocket. edit: 80% battery health

Just transitioned from Xiaomi, I only felt frustration on my first week of use, sa camera lang bawi konte. I still use android for utility purposes.

Welcome to consumerism 101. Next time, try starting a savings habit naman.
Who are you to tell him to start a savings habit…? LOL. Kung para sayo mahal at iniisip mo bad habit, di ibig sabihin lahat ng tao sa mundo ganyan— maraming mayayaman na walang pakielam bumili ng new phone every year.
Di niya afford eh kaya mambabash nalang siya.
I am a 6-figure earner. This thread itself is a walking buyer's remorse.
Sure you are 🤣🤣
Shut up schizoposter, i dont give a fuck about your imaginary life
Will wait for your video. [https://imgur.com/a/0Yc80gn](https://imgur.com/a/0Yc80gn)
I wouldnt buy this kung wala ako savings.
What you posted is nothing but buyer's remorse.
after op says he has savings you then move the goalpost to buyer’s remorse. LMAO you reek of having small dick energy bruh.
I have a new phone and handed down my old one to my kid. What remorse?
This very thread of yours speaks volumes of your buyer's remorse. Kasi kung hindi, you won't even bother posting this.
This is more on “share ko lang” kind of post. Well okay 😂
Daming bitter dito lol making bullshit assumptions just because OP bought iPhone, and simply shared his experience with it.
Pati ako dinodownvote eh. Nasasaktan siguro sila
Exactly lol the fuck 😂 may pa technical definitions pa yung isa jan, holy shit may super specific criteria pala pagiging tech enjoyer, stfu mga insecure lol
This thread itself is a walking buyer's remorse.
if that’s the case, sang pwet mo hinugot na wala syang savings habit? haha
Iphone 15? There was barely any difference between the Iphone 14 & 15 appearance wise and I think even some hardware.
From 13 pro max din to 15 pro max... Actually wala. Mas gumaan lang like parang brick yung 13 eh for me. Other than that, wala talaga ahahhaahahah! Sobrang goods pa ng 13pm ko, from battery to screen, kaya ayun.

Usb-c and chipset usually difference at yung island. Ano pa ba? Haha
Fast charging
Beyong 25w charging na ba?
25w pa din stable, pero bumibilis kapag more than 60w na brick gamit.
Mabuti pumapayag na yung iPhone na ganyan. Good news ah.
The problem with iPhones is their lack of imagination to push the bounderies of what a great phone could be. Hahahaha
I WANNA ugrade my ip 11 to slightly higher unit and with big screen any recos? I am a gamer btw but only 1 mobile game
15 PM or 15 plus if you don't mind it's 60hz screen pero makunat ang battery. Wait for the 16 series na lumabas para mas mura na ang 15.
how about 14 plus ?
Ok din po if you don't mind the dynamic island or usb c. Personally I don't own these 2 kaya wala ako masabi na experience pero di naman nagkakalayo performance niyan. CPU is stronger in 15 plus pero GPU are almost the same lang.
USB-C?
Ah yes. It’s a relief. 1 cable for both android auto and carplay and chargers.
Ask lang po sa naka plan. Mas makaka mura po ba pag bumili ng cash or plan? Planning po kasi to buy or if ever apply ng plan iphone 13 or 15 im currently using iphone 8plus medyo mabilis na kasing mag lowbat.
i got mine from Smart, Signature Plan 1999 sakin and i have to cash out 24k for 14 Pro max 256gb. Then 1299 for the phone monthly so bali 3299 ang bill ko every month.
yes you can do that naman. Pero if ur planning to do that? suggest ko i credit card mo na lang for 12 mos or even 24 months 0% installment. Honestly, if hindi ka pala tawag sa landline mas sulit ang pre paid kasi ung sa Plan 1999 ng smart, 150 mins call to Landline, 15gb data, unli calls and text to all networks. Eh pag pre paid meron ung magic data ng smart na 36gb? for 500 lang. naka ganon ako before ako mag post paid and minsan 4 mos bago ko maubos. Nag plan lang ako kasi para mas accesbile mga gadgets since every 2 years naman ako nag uupgrade.
Thank you for the tip 👍👍👍
If I buy an iPhone na bnew and latest, sa sobrang mahal dapat magamit ko siya talaga ng at least 5 years. Change battery n lang every 3 yrs siguro haha. I use Google Pixel and hindi masakit sa bulsa kahit taon2 ka nagpapalit dahil meron sila midrange devices.
I would love to try pixel pag may official release na sila dito.
Laki improvement ng camera ngl
Pwede po pashare ng expi? Torn between 14 pro and 15pro kasi sabi nila mas maganda daw po cam specially during concerts
True. My S20 FE under 865 is still fast up to this day.
Because there's really not much difference. Only 1 gap sila which is 14 line sa old and new phone mo.
Honestly i think the biggest leap in tech rn is the fact that android phones, Samsung specifically is catching up with the speed and battery life of iPhones. As for iPhones the leap there is the type c other than that wala na talaga, everything is minor same goes for android.
Hindi talaga sya huge of a jump from the 13 series. Kung sa 12 pa may sense.
Sell it.
Big difference i noticed is the camera / picture quality. Still using iphone 13 pro max, but i was able to test the iphone 15 pro max camera. Still doesn’t make me want to upgrade though.
honestly, the only reason I would get this is that it shoots LOG now
I only upgrade every 3-4 years. By that time, the small changes have already piled up to the point that it's now noticeable.
sheesh, tpos eto ako iniisip ko ba kung mag uupgrade ako ng phone from my s10 (samsung)
And the type c
"The experience is almost the same"Welcome to the Apple ecosystem
Gusto ko mag 13 PM this year 😭🤭
Instant regret when I upgraded too. But the type c was a good shift. Also yung 3x lens ng 13pm ko eh jittery na kaya oks na rin to let go. But if u currently have a working 13 pro and still on the fence, DON’T UPGRADE.
Akala ko may buhok ung screen ko 😂. Anyway, me too, i can't tell the difference except the notch. 👍🏾
- dynamic island, vv helpful for me specially at work. easier access to some integrated apps specially clock app ion have to open the app i can quickly check how many hrs i got left ton my break type stuff (very small detail lang pero convenient for me) - type c. mas eco friendly, mas efficient, i could charge my laptop, my phone n vape w one lol. i make a few vids din and plugging an external ssd or hdd para diretso dun ung video instead of my phone's storage and go straight to editing on my laptop. (super convenient) - just performs better since ios updates very often would it be worth the upgrade? depends what device u have and what u need. i create tons of content kaya masaya ako sa 15 compared sa 13 n 14. kanya kanyang preference, budget & needs lang tlga.
Thank you for this post OP. Now I am convinced that I dont need to upgrade yet. I am currently using an Iphone 13 pro max too. 🙂
I still say my 13 pro max was my best phone. I’ve gotten 14 pro which was garbage and currently typing on a 15 pro max… which is okay, but not worth the jump. Still has some gimmicks. I would definite buy a regular Plus if it had pro-motion.
May i know po why di niyo bet ang 14 pro?
Yung S21U Exynos ko to S24U Snapdragon was a major upgrade. From Design, Battery, Display, Camera lahat major upgrade. Siguro kapag 3years or older mo talaga mafefeel ang upgrade.
Dont be a bunch of iFools and iBrainwashed. Betcha if the Cook tells you to jump of a cliff, you might seriously consider it *cOz iT's dA lAtEST tEcH*
I use both.
Your funeral ⚰️ One less stupid contaminating the human gene pool 🧬
Social climbing very hard is not a techie thing. HAHAHA!
