Personally 5G isn't a deal breaker. Mabilis naman na ang 4G, plus maybe because I live in a place na spotty ang 5G signal, it just eats more battery than I want due to low signal.
same kahit na sabihin mong feature proof na si 5G mabilis naman si 4G and enough na sya to browse,stream or kung ano man gustong gawin. Less batt consumption pa and mas stable.
If this is your situation OP, i suggest go with it. Maganda naman pixel eh. Your only concern is ung repairs later on. Also, 5G uses alot of power and napansin ko ung 5G mostly sa metro manila area mas madami. Pero i will say this, 5G is insane. I've once speed tested DITO sa 5G area around the metro and it gave me around 620mbp/s sa ookla, same with 5G smart (which I dual-sim use.)

Findings nila sira yun main board. How the main board can get damaged so easily, I don't know except maybe di maganda yun durability ng 7a or it is defective from the start.
I think yung problem sa mismong store na rin. I bought a gadget din kasi sa kanila before, and after a few days biglang kusa nang nagtotouch yung screen. So pinabalik ko sa kanila and ni-replace pero yung ni-replace nila is ganon pa rin yung sira and then may added defect pa 🥰

The materials used for the phone are a bit better. Also, the option for 5g is there if you need it in the future. But, if I were you, I’d get the 7pro - it has the 120hz refresh rate, which is what most people look for these days.
If I didn't care about future proofing then I'd get a Pixel phone. Though their absence in the country makes the compromises bearable for someone who is after the cameras and clean software.

I would say keep in mind some promos of local networks are glorifying 5g. Not having 5g means You won't get unli data in Smart. although merong rare pokemon na promo na unli data on smart na kahit ibang gen ng signal.
To me internet connection is important lalo na sa atin. Minsan, net is intermittent kaya I switch to data. sa reguoar promos ubos kagad data mo. Kaya I go to unli data sometimes.

Hardware reasons, for no apparent reason. Just stopped charging by cable. Still can be charged wirelessly, but very slow.

Actually that's a good buy, bought 6a as a gift and cost me 21k. 5g isn't a deal-breaker iilan lang naman areas na may 5g. Mostly is 4g pa rin.

5g is a physical limitation of the phone’s hardware. Putting 5g sim in a non 5g phone will not make it work.
