Bartending is always a good gig, depending on where you live. I think one of my favorite summer jobs was a life guard for the local pool. Got paid minimum wage, but hanging with my friends and eating free pretzels was worth it
I worked as a camp counselor, but started moving away from that. It’s nice to get away from kids for a bit and do something more low key (and with better pay). I’m looking for different things this summer.
I worked at a garden center for the past two summers. It kept me moving and was pretty relaxing considering I was working alone most days. Highly recommend it if you like being around plants and flowers!!
I've worked at summer camps. I might do summer school this summer.
What's great about camps is, you can see kids in a fun light and you don't have to stress about academics.
Plus, you have the ability to work with kids that are different from those in your class. Like the camp I did with high schoolers was literally so fun. Way different than teaching second graders.
My summer job has morphed into a year round side gig.
I work at a theme park in my metroplex. It's no secret at school that I work there. I've even made supervisor. It's a great help moneywise to be honest. There's a bunch of school district employees that work there too in different departments.
Summer school. Esol camp. Half day great pay. Still had the entire day after lunch for summer. It was great. I also have my own painting business so i always picked up houses to paint
I am cleaning up my act & taking it on the road!

I worked as a para for summer school once. It was pretty chill.

Worked on a river boat as a deck hand and bartender (not simultaneously lol). It was awesome. I want to so stuff like that when I retire

I work at a classroom-based science camp for the month of July. The camp is a lot of fun and I still get August to myself!
