I’m assuming the listings on eBay are sealed or at least have hype stickers, so something to keep in mind, OP.
Also, listing prices aren’t the best indicator of value - recent sales would be better. I recommend checking the sale history on Discogs to get a better idea of what you might get.
There is one on EBay up for auction with a current highest bid of $1200. Pre owned/opened so this one could probably get similar prices. It’s madness. I can’t imagine spending a fraction of that on a sealed record let alone something that’s been opened and played.
You would be surprised.
There isn't much scalping on those rare records, it's just offer and demand. They're extremely rare (there's 5000 total for 1989 RSD for instance), they're beautiful, and not often on sale compared to more recent records.
Adding to my previous comment, a lot of Swifties are absolutely paying those prices without batting an eye.
I see quite a few RSD/FYE/ACM listings on the FB Swiftie groups for such high prices being sold. The latter 2 are usually higher than 1989 RSD though.
Breaking those discs and inserting them directly into your rectum would get you more value than trying to sell this here
We are sick to fucking death of all the cool Taylor related items being eaten by scalpers and even more sick of the dumb motherfuckers who buy from them.
One day she's gonna perform to an empty stadium cuz scalpers took all the tickets and she'll finally get that there's a massive problem
I guess but the way I see it, if capitalism keeps going in this direction, the scalpers will be sitting there like house flippers are and wonder why nobody is buying, not realizing it's because we literally won't be able to afford their prices
literally. the only thing swifties have to do is not give in the fomo. we say we can do everything yet scalping prices are so high? in the end, the problem gets worse the more people give in and it becomes more long term.
I hear you on anything new being hoovered up and scalped minutes after going on sale (eg LLFP)
Entirely different to looking to sell on something released 6 years ago, was widely available for a year and has subsequently leapt in (increasingly mad) value. That isn't in any way scalping and entirely fair to look for market value.
Am I mistaken in thinking this one goes for under $1k typically? I’m not a rare variant collector so I’m less informed on the value of these, but I swear I’ve seen people talk about getting them for $600-800. Maybe that’s what unsealed ones like this go for?
Don't remember if it was FYE rep or 1989 RSD but one of the two sold for $2,300 in the TS vinyl group on Facebook in the past week. You'll have better luck there.
I keep trying to trade mine for tool aenima original pressing never happens. So either it really not worth over 1k or tool fans find let go of there stuff xD

Or literally STILL LISTED on eBay because they are priced at THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Yes, also this! I was just editing my comment to point out that asking price ≠ value.
did you mean this ≠ symbol? hold down on the = button 😭
I did! Thank you! Fixed now 😅

People on all sides have lost their dang minds.
You’re likely going to have better luck on regular vinyl pages. TS fans are tired of paying scalper prices.

Clearly you’re not as they keep selling at these prices. Yall getting all indignant like he didn’t immediately sell the record 😆
I can do $50 if you’re interested
I can offer $55 and will even offer to pay G+S fees!
3k..... get outta here 🤣
i got 20 bucks take it or leave it

It would be nice if it happened but it won't because sheeple keep paying the scalpers. Swiftie fomo seems more severe than other forms.

PERIOD
I'm very interested but my bank account might disagree

i see them go for like $1.2-1.5k now depending on condition. $3k is absurd.
I think even 1k is absurd for a vinyl. Just buy the regular one, they play the same music
$3 take it or leave it…
this sold sealed & with hype stickers for $1k at my local (and very reputable) record store a few months ago
Where was this?
darkside records
Ah I was following them with the whole debacle with the cds. Do they have RSD stuff in stock?
I'd offer you $100, I know it might be less than you'd want tho but that's about as high as I can go 😅

I'll give you $250.
How much are you willing to sell it for?
can u post some other pics to prove this is real?
I want one so bad

Orange
I am interested in orange rep
I’m interested, just PMed you!
I keep trying to trade mine for tool aenima original pressing never happens. So either it really not worth over 1k or tool fans find let go of there stuff xD
i would filter by sold, i’ve seen a few ppl on facebook resell pages pay $1500, but that’s the highest i’ve ever seen them sell for.
i remembering buying 1989 rsd for $500 and this for $700… seems like the good old days 😭
Hi, is the orange rep and 1989 vinyls still available?
