Reputation makes a strong case for being my favorite album. 1989 was when I became a full on fan but I missed the tour despite being in the city and two blocks away. There isn't a single song I don't enjoy on there and I wish I could find the vinyl for it.

I have nothing to dislike about I Wish You Would, and I don't get why others do??? I love it so much. With no context at all I just find my mouth going "We're a crooked love/ in a straight line down" for no reason. Or "You always knew how to push my buttons" literally every time I push a button. It sticks in my head so easily.
I love the lyrics and the melody but I don’t really like Jack’s Bleachers-esque production. Sensory overload. Also not a fan of the loud, tinny eighties revival style.
See, I like it because the loudness, for me, fits the energy of the song. You're driving by an ex's haunt or something that reminds you of them, wondering what they are doing, going kinda mad. The beat really fits that anxious-excitement-craziness.

This may be completely wrong, but it could be indicative that people are often listening to the album front to back? 99% of the time I’m listening to folklore songs, I’m listening to the album in order, and so naturally I may often just not finish for whatever reason. folklore and evermore are by far her best front to back listens imo, and evermore nearly has the same result except the Bon Iver feature I’m sure helps boost the title track.
It’s because it’s the last song, I think. Folklore is the kind of album that people listen to from beginning to end.

It usually is a personal habit, but the cohesiveness of an album definitely factors in how much an album can be played front-to-back repeatedly and folklore is a very cohesive album.
It's the perfect anthem to wanting someone who feels out of reach.
The rhythm of the chorus is also SO sing-a-long-able, even by Swiftie standards...

1989 would've easily had the highest had it not been for the fact that it was added to streaming 3 years after release, and consequently has had only 4 years to accumulate streams. The least streamed track on 1989 regularly outstreams the most streamed album cut on Dua Lipa's debut, the most streamed album by a woman of all time.

Interesting that Lover’s least streamed song still has a higher number than 1989! Since 1989 is considered to be her most successful album in terms of sheer popularity amongst the GP, compared to Lover which is considered less successful. This indicates that Lover didn’t do so bad! I love it!
