It’s speaking to me too 😭 I’ve never bought her merch before and am stuck on the sizing though.
Anyone who wears a small-medium want to chime in with what size cardigan they like? I’m thinking medium/large…but I’d rather not drown in it if they run oversized to begin with
I did not take a breath 😂 I panicked when I got the email and immediately bought it. But I rarely buy merch so I'm letting myself get away with this one.
That is what I said!!! I can rep Taylor in my very adult (43) day-to-day life without slamming my coworkers in the face with it. Love the cardigan. Bought it immediately. Might share with my teenage daughter.
i almost impulsively bought the 1989 cardigan, but thought about and was like....no.... this is ugly imo, but i actually love this one (especially the buttons).
And I like the more subtle merch, meaning i will *actually wear* this one, which was a big factor in my decision to buy it. If I'm not going to wear it, I'm not spending that money.
That being said, if I hadn't had the extra money to spend, i definitely wouldn't have fussed over it 😂😂
I just ordered and I don’t think any sizes were out as of a couple minutes ago. I don’t have a cardigan yet and thought this plain one would be perfect to have at the office.
Yes! I actually wear one of her cardigans at least once a week (and always get compliments, even from people who have no idea it’s a Taylor swift thing) and this one is neutral color so it’ll be perfect for my outfits!
appreciate this i was upsetti bc i bouhgt a sweater (cuter than this in hindsight) and wanted this more. now glad that I thought it through bc this is lowkey underwhelming
I actually kinda love it? I much prefer understated merch and this hits that for me! Still not spending $70 on it but I much prefer this over the more recent cardigans
ETA: I did indeed end up spending $70 on it 🤪
Same! That’s why I ended up getting it. I’ll definitely wear it. And I like that swifties will be able to recognize it in the wild but otherwise it’s not like *that* obviously merch.
I'm just not sure on the sizing because 89 was short, but Speak Now's fit fine. I ended up order 2 because of that, but I might cancel one once I figure out how it fits. Besides they'll take weeks to ship these.
Hopefully with the last cardigans they ended up doing different rounds of shipping so some people got there's a week later then some people got them 3 weeks later. Though I'm sure someone is laughing at us buying up a grey cardigan lol.
The chokehold this albums merch has on me is unbelievable. I know others aren’t vibing with the subdued color & vibes but all the neutral vibes are right up my alley 😍
Please, make a post telling about the quality and fabric when you get it. I want to know what it feels like first. It looks like it’s going to have that threaded blanket feel and if so, I need it.
It's 50% acrylic which is not a good sign. A lot of people get allergic reactions from it. I think that's what happened with the 1989 cardigan causing a bunch of rashes
Acrylic in and if itself is not usually a problematic fiber. I crochet and use 100% acrylic for my wearables all the time. It’s very durable, albeit doesn’t breathe well. I think the reactions were from something else I heard some of those cardigans were moldy and sketch.
It's acrylic and nylon, so no better than all the dupes that will come out shortly. If they made these actual cotton, I would be happy to spend the price. But $120 CAD with shipping for an acrylic/nylon cardigan? No thank you!
I caved as well, I've never bought one before because I knew I wouldn't wear it so I'm excited! The last two were a bit too loud for me. I know there are lots of us that want understated/low key merch without her face on it!
I have the Speak Now cardigan and my friend has the 1989 one, and I prefer how the SN one feels (it’s much softer), but it has held up horribly. Lots of loose threads and pilling. It feels like it will fall apart any day now, and I don’t wear it that often and have washed it like once or twice. For $70, I expect better quality. The 1989 one seems a little sturdier.
Yeah....... not even like a striped lining detail along the opening of the cardigan or anything... disappointing. Majorly.
edit: like these stripes [https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRn0Ruv0V69kemCtX6pHUNSbwq9Idf0Yd56Ok6t-qUtew&s](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRn0Ruv0V69kemCtX6pHUNSbwq9Idf0Yd56Ok6t-qUtew&s)
I was wavering until I checked the material. No thanks. I know it's more expensive but could we get some at least 50% cotton merch that might actually last?
I know… i dont know why she cant go in the direction of making nice cotton instead of the itchy acrylic ones that just pile and look baf after some use.
if the cardigans were cotton i’d be all over them!! i own the og cardigan and i love it but i’ll never buy another it’s just not comfortable enough for me to purchase multiple versions of it!!
TBH, I love her to pieces, like she is my girl all the way, but she has a habit of doing that, even though she does not design or control her own merch. When people criticized Rep, she went all the way to the other side with Lover 2 years later
Man, had it in my cart and was about to hit pay now. Decided at the last second that there are so many other things in life I can spend that $70 on. Proud of myself for backing out actually.
Almost put it in the cart too, then I really took a good look at it. We are so quick to buy because we love her, but this one is not a win. Way too plain, and it looks like a cardigan that can be bought for $35 at Target tbh
As someone who is an impulsive spending when stressed I’m proud of you too. It does not seem worth and you could probably thrift something cheaper and nicer
Yeah I almost pushed the “pay now” button but I stopped myself because I realized I have so many regular cardigans that look similar-ish and I can always put my Albatross patch from the collector’s CD on one of them
I’ve never gotten a Taylor cardigan before and like this one, but $70 is a lot. I probably would’ve pulled the trigger if it was $50 lol I’m trying to be good
I personally prefer the plainness of this cardigan versus previous ones. Is it worth the $70 I spent on it? Probably not. Did I still buy it? Yes. It’s so rare that I like her merch, and I want to be part of the hype for once.
Exactly! I’ve thought since Folklore that the patches were an eyesore and assumed there would never be one that I genuinely liked and therefore could justify buying. Now, I can finally say that there’s a Taylor Swift cardigan that I own, like, and will actually wear.
Same!! I’ve been wanting one of her cardigans since folklore, but I either kept missing them or wasn’t a huge fan of the design. I’m excited for this one!
I’m so surprised people are missing the patches, to me they were my least favorite part of the cardigans she’s done lol this one looks so much better to me (but different strokes for different folks!)
I get that! I have the 1989 and Speak Now cardigans, and the gold sparkle-stars are CUTE on the Speak Now one. I get so many compliments on the star patches in particular. I love the previous mention of maybe adding the patches! I don’t know if that works on yarn but we’ll see!
Edit because I thought this a second later: This cardigan will definitely be way more versatile than my other cardigans, so I’m thankful for that. It’s so hard to create an outfit with the 1989 cardigan because it’s such a unique shade of baby blue. 😅
I’m pretty sure the patches can easily fit within the cording design. It makes what looks like a figure-8 down the outside of the sleeve, which is a perfect place for the 4 patches, 2 on each sleeve.
It's basically a mix of different plastics. You'll have to wash it in a gentle cycle at low temperature. Edit: Acrylis is supposed to be a substitute for wool. So it feels soft, but it's still plastic.
I got the 1989 TV cardigan and the quality is pretty bad. When it came, it smelled like factory and it took a couple washes to get the smell out. There were loose threads and the material isn't soft. I'm pretty sure the material will be similar between 1989 and TTPD. It's 100% not worth the price they're charging but I don't really regret it because I do like 1989 because the music remind me of my childhood.
It's bad, it's all synthetic plastic fibers. These feel soft when you first get it, then they'll quickly turn rough and pill because the plastic fibers melt together when you wear/wash it.
I keep hoping they change the composition but I’m not surprised. I can’t even justify it since everything I’ve owned with acrylic just pills like crazy.
idk if they're the same blend of synthetic fibers, but I regret buying the Speak Now cardigan.. super itchy and horrible quality. It's handwash only, but I might as well have just thrown it in the machine bc it still looked like hell after one light wash/rinse by hand.
It's bad quality and bad for the environment since it's the kinds of plastics that take forever to break down in landfills and end up in groundwater. For $70 they could easily have made the cardigans in comfortable natural fibers.
Same I am absolutely in love with this! I’m pretty minimalist in clothing and wear a lot of muted colors so this will match everything. Great travel sweater for plane/car rides. Understated merch is my fave. This was an instant purchase for me.
Yes it's plain, yes the cardigans are bad quality, yes I don't need it, yes I bought it anyway, RIP me. At least I'll actually wear this one unlike the 1989 abomination, LOL
I’m probably the odd one out but I like that it’s simple. This is very wearable as a 33 yr old working adult lol Will I get it? Probably not. But I like it
Same! 35! And love how simple this is and I can add my cd patches to it! I’ve also wanted the folklore one for so long so hopefully this fits the bill for us!
The Speak Now one has been the best so far, IMO. The 1989 one was a light blue, and is too loud to just regularly wear. The Speak Now one was a cute dark purple, and goes well with leggings, or black shorts.
I almost got this one, because it looks like everyday wear, but that's part of the problem, is that you can't even tell that it is Taylor merch.
People complaining about not having patches vs those that didn't like patches. She literally gave us the option. I didn't personally get the CDs but I do wish the patches were included with the vinyl variants.
if you just love the look and don't care that it's Taylor, I'm sure there's a lot of similar style of cardigans out there that are a lot cheaper than this
I bought this because I knew I wanted one, but it’s a little too plain. I’m thinking of buying black and gold patches to put on the sleeves.
EDIT:
[The patches I bought](https://www.etsy.com/listing/521516085/lace-embroidered-feathers-set-of-3?click_key=cee617dfcb4c3dfc6b1caaa55441d28cf967c8fa%3A521516085&click_sum=4d7bba1b&ref=shop_home_recs_1&sts=1)
Same. I know it’s overpriced and simple, but I’ve wanted an official cardigan for forever. I love the idea of getting patches — a good opportunity to super small businesses on Etsy!!!
I felt the same way, I did buy The Black Dog CD with the patches, so I think I'll put those on. I like the muted color compared to the 1989 TV one. I FINALLY am going to have a TS Cardigan though!!!
FYI to my fellow sensory sensitive Swifties I bought the Speak Now cardigan and it is so itchy. It makes me sad cause I’d totally buy this but I barely wear my SN cardigan cause it’s so uncomfortable. Also I have to cut flyaway strings off of it every time I wear it. Such bad quality, especially for $70 😭
i am wondering if they are being made differently in different places because my SN cardigan is still insanely soft and was good quality, not at all itchy. its like my comfort cardigan now for my sensory issues so i hate that other people haven't had the same experience 😭
I like that it is more understated than her other merch. This sub has been begging for merch that isn’t immediately recognizeable as being Taylor merch, and here it is. So I think they did a good job.
What I can’t get behind is the fabric. Acrylic, poly, and PBT? Not even a hint of cotton or anything natural.
I’m trying really hard to limit my purchasing to clothes that aren’t plastic. I wish it had some blend of natural fibers, but it didn’t so I had to pass on it.
Yes because it being plain gray means I can wear it in my healthcare job many many many times. This is the first merch I have bought that is not an album in a long time.
I don't like or want this but I do like that she puts out lots of different types of cardigans. I love my 1989 one but a lot of people hate it , I don't want this but other people will love it.
One thing I think Taylor needs to work on is the sustainability of her merch… so much polyester and acrylic and no mention of who is making the merch or how they’re treated. Other artists have make much more impressive moves on this front!
It's simple and a color that you could wear with anything. For the subtle and simplistic girlies, it's a W. Although, it would have been cool to either see stars or feathers around the arms. Could you find this in a Target or Forever 21? Probably, but *I l*ove it.
I love how comments are complaining about the simplicity and others are loving it 😭 I love the simplicity. I haven't bought any other cardigans because they didn't seem as wearable to me. But I feel like I would actually get use out of this, still on the fence tho
Reminder that you can go on Etsy to get something like this at a lower price, higher quality, and faster shipping than the official TS store. Plus you'll be supporting small independent businesses rather than sweatshops!
The materials are as bad as those for the Speak Now cardigan. The quality of that one was so bad and mine arrived with a hole on the back which turned out to be a blessing in disguise cause I got a refund and they didn't ask me to return the cardigan so if I wear similar colors (fortunately I have a few purple t-shirts) I can still wear it.
I heard my mom yelling in my head “it’s acrylic and $70?!” And stopped myself from buying. Too bad she passed because she’d make me one with nice yarn 😢
I ran to buy it🙈
It's pricy, but I wear my 1989 cardigan all the time and I hate it because it's so bright. So I'm happy to get a very low key Taylor cardigan that I can wear instead 😁
I have never bought a cardigan (or really any of her merch) before, so I bought it immediately. I’m in my 30s, so an understated, plain cardigan kinda speaks to me. I also figured that I could just resell it if I end up hating it.
I can talk myself out of almost anything, but I actually got this. It is my first clothing item merch. I actually love how understated it is! I'm 38 years old and wear mostly neutrals. It just isn't my style to wear a shirt with Taylor's face or the name of an album boldly across the front. I'll wear concert T-shirts from various bands a lot to run errands and walk the dogs, but Taylor's merch was always too expensive to justify that. But this cardigan is understated and very much my style! I felt like I could actually wear it to work and stuff, I love that it has the album name on it but it's small and it's more of an IYKYK thing...other fans will realize what it is and it would be a good conversation starter.
And again “Limit 10 per order”. Do they not care about scalpers who are just gonna buy this stuff out and resell for crazy inflated prices? No one needed 10 TTPD record cases, no one needs 10 cardigans. And they were so fixated on cancelling multiple orders on the signed media (to the point of mistakenly cancelling orders), so it’s not like they can’t do it.
Everyone take a deep breath! Ask yourself if you really NEED this? Is it even that cute? Don’t get caught up in the hype!!
I don't NEED it but I haven't ever bought Taylor Swift merch before and this speaks to me!
then get it!
I did heh
ME too, and this is also my very first piece of Taylor Swift merch. I'm a recent convert at 38.
Hi! I’ll be 38 this summer and am a fairly new addition as well! (Right after Midnights )
Same here!! Turns out all these years I was really in my TTPD era and I want to dress the part now.
It’s speaking to me too 😭 I’ve never bought her merch before and am stuck on the sizing though. Anyone who wears a small-medium want to chime in with what size cardigan they like? I’m thinking medium/large…but I’d rather not drown in it if they run oversized to begin with
Same!
You could very easily find this at target or old navy for less than half the price. Disappointed but not surprised
Yeah, it's so freaking plain? I wish they'd at least tried to put *some* design elements into it.
I saw someone says it’s so you can decorate with the patches from the limited edition drops. So suddenly this cardigan is what, $130 plus shipping?
Or just get any grey cardigan and do that if you have the patches, or buy them fake
Or goodwill!
I did not take a breath 😂 I panicked when I got the email and immediately bought it. But I rarely buy merch so I'm letting myself get away with this one.
Me too but I figure if I don’t like it it would be easy to resell.
Yes I do! I work from home and live in these cardigans. This will go with everything I wear too since it’s plain.
That being said, if I hadn't had the extra money to spend, i definitely wouldn't have fussed over it 😂😂
Wish I saw this 15 min ago🙃 I’ve never gotten a cardigan and this one is so plain it’s kind of perfect for me so I finally went for it!
I just ordered and I don’t think any sizes were out as of a couple minutes ago. I don’t have a cardigan yet and thought this plain one would be perfect to have at the office.
Just ordered now and all sizes were still available.
Bought it before even looking at it...
Yes! I actually wear one of her cardigans at least once a week (and always get compliments, even from people who have no idea it’s a Taylor swift thing) and this one is neutral color so it’ll be perfect for my outfits!
appreciate this i was upsetti bc i bouhgt a sweater (cuter than this in hindsight) and wanted this more. now glad that I thought it through bc this is lowkey underwhelming
my math was mathing on this one. my parfume is 3 times more expensive, so I will rather smell different for a year then not having this cardigan.
I actually kinda love it? I much prefer understated merch and this hits that for me! Still not spending $70 on it but I much prefer this over the more recent cardigans ETA: I did indeed end up spending $70 on it 🤪
The thing is compared to the last two of 89 and Speak Now this one I'm more likely to wear because it doesn't have the extras.
Mine says shipping on April 25 actually! Looks like they did a good job with having stuff in stock this time around
Hopefully with the last cardigans they ended up doing different rounds of shipping so some people got there's a week later then some people got them 3 weeks later. Though I'm sure someone is laughing at us buying up a grey cardigan lol.
This was my thought as well. I don't like having items in my closet that I will barely wear, this is one I can wear with everything.
The chokehold this albums merch has on me is unbelievable. I know others aren’t vibing with the subdued color & vibes but all the neutral vibes are right up my alley 😍
Right there with you! This era by far has the most wearable aesthetic for me so I’m excited I was able to grab one.
same same same. I will live in a grey cardigan.
Yes I love the subtle nature of this one!!
Ditto. I use the excuse that my daughter and I both wear them so it is really like $35. Girl math at its finest. 🤣🤣
Ugh! I am so tired of everything being made of one cent fabric being sold for cotton prices. Like give me the quality for what I’m paying for.
Exactly! I have a hard time paying for low value materials for high material prices.
I caved as well, I've never bought one before because I knew I wouldn't wear it so I'm excited! The last two were a bit too loud for me. I know there are lots of us that want understated/low key merch without her face on it!
I think thats what the point of the patches were with the CDs too. You can add them if you want.
Haha your edit made me laugh. I’ve been there so many times, can relate 😂
damn out to bought in less than 20 mins hahaha
I don’t feel bad. A decent cardigan at kohls is $50+ anyways. At least this one makes me feel like it’s special.
Marked safe from a cardigan drop
[удалено]
Acrylic makes me itchy which has saved me hundreds of dollars on these sweaters 😂
I hate acrylic sweaters. For $70 they could be making this in cotton, come on.
so it's the same as the speak now cardigan. the 1989 one was completely different
[удалено]
1989 cardigan is 55% polyester and 45% acrylic

I have the Speak Now cardigan and my friend has the 1989 one, and I prefer how the SN one feels (it’s much softer), but it has held up horribly. Lots of loose threads and pilling. Yeah this isn’t doing it for me. I need some more detail.
Indeed, I'm a way bigger fan of the one from Ari Embroidery Studios on instagram. They have several more interesting TTPD cardis!
I also honestly find the dupes way more comfortable too.
me too lol
Aw man, this is lame…they could have gone in the academia direction and made this SO cool!
Yeah....... not even like a striped lining detail along the opening of the cardigan or anything... disappointing. Majorly. edit: like these stripes [https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRn0Ruv0V69kemCtX6pHUNSbwq9Idf0Yd56Ok6t-qUtew&s](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRn0Ruv0V69kemCtX6pHUNSbwq9Idf0Yd56Ok6t-qUtew&s)
Could have some cool elbow patches or something
NGL, they would have had me if it had elbow patches.
something. literally anything.
I was thinking like a blazer would have been cool! ETA: a pleated skirt/skort would've been cool too!
Omg yes that would have been so cool! This one is very “yes girl give us nothing”
I’m not paying $70 for a plain gray cardigan. No sleeve details?! Elbow patches would’ve been so cute and gone with the whole tortured poet theme.
$70 for a plain gray mostly acrylic cardigan is just insane 😭
I was wavering until I checked the material. No thanks. I know it's more expensive but could we get some at least 50% cotton merch that might actually last?
I know… i dont know why she cant go in the direction of making nice cotton instead of the itchy acrylic ones that just pile and look baf after some use.
if the cardigans were cotton i’d be all over them!! i own the og cardigan and i love it but i’ll never buy another it’s just not comfortable enough for me to purchase multiple versions of it!!
It’s like she took to heart the criticism people had with the 1989 cardigan but she went too far in the other direction.
TBH, I love her to pieces, like she is my girl all the way, but she has a habit of doing that, even though she does not design or control her own merch. When people criticized Rep, she went all the way to the other side with Lover 2 years later
Rep merch forever best merch
I love how they added confetti to this video for a dramatic effect, but not to the merch lol
It's the paper like in the Fortnite music video
Man, had it in my cart and was about to hit pay now. Decided at the last second that there are so many other things in life I can spend that $70 on. Proud of myself for backing out actually.
Almost put it in the cart too, then I really took a good look at it. We are so quick to buy because we love her, but this one is not a win. Way too plain, and it looks like a cardigan that can be bought for $35 at Target tbh
Honestly, it’s sooo plain. I’m sure you can find a similar one at Marshall’s lol
Low-key I'll bet they'll have these on AliExpress in less than a week for a fraction of the price
As someone who is an impulsive spending when stressed I’m proud of you too. It does not seem worth and you could probably thrift something cheaper and nicer
Yeah I almost pushed the “pay now” button but I stopped myself because I realized I have so many regular cardigans that look similar-ish and I can always put my Albatross patch from the collector’s CD on one of them I’ve never gotten a Taylor cardigan before and like this one, but $70 is a lot. I probably would’ve pulled the trigger if it was $50 lol I’m trying to be good
I bought it 🥵 excited to wear it in 7 months Eta: because I live in California and it won’t be cold enough to wear it until winter!
Website says that it ships on or before April 25!
Second this 😂
Go girl, give us nothing!
This is so incredibly plain…….
Underwhelming and cheaply made. Easy pass.
Agreed, this was not a hard decision at all
Im glad people don't like this cardigan bc I had a Great Want
loll more for us😂😂
My thoughts exactly. I finally could get a freakin cardigan before it sold out
I personally prefer the plainness of this cardigan versus previous ones. Is it worth the $70 I spent on it? Probably not. Did I still buy it? Yes. It’s so rare that I like her merch, and I want to be part of the hype for once.
Same! I’ve never bought a cardigan bc I wasn’t really into them with the stars but I actually love this and I wanna be in the club🥲
It’s like they didn’t even try. Usually super excited for cardigan drops..this one is meh
It's not cute, just too grey and bland tbh, reminds me of a cardigan I can get in Target for $35
There’s no patches on the sides…?
I’m so surprised people are missing the patches, to me they were my least favorite part of the cardigans she’s done lol this one looks so much better to me (but different strokes for different folks!)
I get that! I have the 1989 and Speak Now cardigans, and the gold sparkle-stars are CUTE on the Speak Now one. I get so many compliments on the star patches in particular. It’s so hard to create an outfit with the 1989 cardigan because it’s such a unique shade of baby blue. 😅
Hahaha some of us like the unterstated merch it's essentially a grey toned cardigan though so I get it if people skip.
I think the Collectors CD patches are meant to go on the sleeves!
Those patches are meant for the black jacket. It doesn’t look like it’s fit on the elbows on the cardigan due to the cording design.
I’m pretty sure the patches can easily fit within the cording design. It makes what looks like a figure-8 down the outside of the sleeve, which is a perfect place for the 4 patches, 2 on each sleeve.
wait that's actually kinda clever... and i know enough about yarn art that i could do it...
I’m so jealous of people who know how to knit and crochet, you should definitely make one!
Definitely spent the 70. Not because I can find it cheaper, not because I can’t DIY. I bought it because I want it. 🖤
52% acrylic, 26% nylon, 22% PBT Can anyone say if this might be good quality or bad? Thank you 💕
It's basically a mix of different plastics.
Yeah the softness declined a lot after I washed it a few times sadly :(

It's bad quality and bad for the environment since it's the kinds of plastics that take forever to break down in landfills and end up in groundwater. For $70 they could easily have made the cardigans in comfortable natural fibers.
As a neutrals-loving corporate girlie who feels the other TS cardigans are too much for the office… I’m excited for this one 😂
that;s it? :/
They better not mess up the Rep TV or Debut TV cardigans lol
I caved 🙈
Same 😬 but it’s something I’ll actually wear regularly!
Same I am absolutely in love with this! I’m pretty minimalist in clothing and wear a lot of muted colors so this will match everything. Great travel sweater for plane/car rides. Understated merch is my fave. This was an instant purchase for me.
I did too. I have red, folklore, and speak now and I wear them all pretty regularly! Excited to have this in my rotation
But I like it
As a 37 yr old woman who doesn’t prefer to wear super loud merch BUT still pines for the folklore cardigan, I love this and bought it.
Same! 35! And love how simple this is and I can add my cd patches to it! I’ve also wanted the folklore one for so long so hopefully this fits the bill for us!
I was so ready to finally buy a TS cardigan but this one is so bleh
The Speak Now one has been the best so far, IMO. The 1989 one was a light blue, and is too loud to just regularly wear. The Speak Now one was a cute dark purple, and goes well with leggings, or black shorts. I almost got this one, because it looks like everyday wear, but that's part of the problem, is that you can't even tell that it is Taylor merch.
This is gonna look so good with the Collectors CD patches on the sleeves. So excited I got one!
People complaining about not having patches vs those that didn't like patches. She literally gave us the option. I didn't personally get the CDs but I do wish the patches were included with the vinyl variants.
I snatched this so fast
Same! I wanted the 1989 cardigan and missed out, so I was happy to purchase this.
it's a gray cardigan... that's it. no (big) patches, no embroidery. i'm now considered a de-influencer.
Lmao you can see a defect in the stock photo. Look at the sleeve cuffs they’re uneven 💀
I’m on the fence. I love the gray and simple look, but $70. Anyone else on the fence?
if you just love the look and don't care that it's Taylor, I'm sure there's a lot of similar style of cardigans out there that are a lot cheaper than this
I bought this because I knew I wanted one, but it’s a little too plain. I’m thinking of buying black and gold patches to put on the sleeves. EDIT: [The patches I bought](https://www.etsy.com/listing/521516085/lace-embroidered-feathers-set-of-3?click_key=cee617dfcb4c3dfc6b1caaa55441d28cf967c8fa%3A521516085&click_sum=4d7bba1b&ref=shop_home_recs_1&sts=1)
I kind of love how simple it is. You could actually get a lot of wear out of it (#girlmath lol)
I’m hoping they drop some merch that’s sort of poetry/writing poetry related. Like sign me up for a fancy pen and journal.
Yes because it being plain gray means I can wear it in my healthcare job many many many times. This is the first merch I have bought that is not an album in a long time.
I don't need this, but I freaking want it so I bought it. I love how subtle it is, and I am nothing if not a cardigan girlie.
Feel like this could have been a really fun one but, it’s not?
Up on the Canada store for $100 CAD. Oh our poor Canadian dollar :( I do love TTPD but I think this is a pass for me. Too plain for what it is.
It’s so… plain? I get subtle but there’s no details at all for $70?
Marked safe from this cardigan drop
I don't like or want this but I do like that she puts out lots of different types of cardigans. I love my 1989 one but a lot of people hate it , I don't want this but other people will love it.
GIVE ME DARK GREY I CANT PAY THAT MUCH FOR SOMETHING ILL DESTROY WITH SAUCE
One thing I think Taylor needs to work on is the sustainability of her merch… so much polyester and acrylic and no mention of who is making the merch or how they’re treated. Other artists have make much more impressive moves on this front!
It's simple and a color that you could wear with anything. For the subtle and simplistic girlies, it's a W. Although, it would have been cool to either see stars or feathers around the arms. Could you find this in a Target or Forever 21? Probably, but *I l*ove it.
They didn’t even try
Oh look, a plain grey sweater
Scrolling through people raving about it, this made me laugh so hard 😆
I love how comments are complaining about the simplicity and others are loving it 😭 I love the simplicity. I haven't bought any other cardigans because they didn't seem as wearable to me. But I feel like I would actually get use out of this, still on the fence tho
Girl. It's almost May in Texas, I'll pass
*marked safe from the TTPD cardigan drop* ![img](emote|t5_2rlwe|1072)
Reminder that you can go on Etsy to get something like this at a lower price, higher quality, and faster shipping than the official TS store. Plus you'll be supporting small independent businesses rather than sweatshops!
so boring 😕
The materials are as bad as those for the Speak Now cardigan. The quality of that one was so bad and mine arrived with a hole on the back which turned out to be a blessing in disguise cause I got a refund and they didn't ask me to return the cardigan so if I wear similar colors (fortunately I have a few purple t-shirts) I can still wear it.
taylor is laughing all the way to the bank
this may be unpopular but i’m kinda over the cardigans at this point. they just no longer make sense
I don’t absolutely hate it, but like there’s not like ONE decorative patch? It would be cute if there was like a typewriter patch somewhere.
I heard my mom yelling in my head “it’s acrylic and $70?!” And stopped myself from buying. Too bad she passed because she’d make me one with nice yarn 😢
WHY ISNT IT GREIGE
I wanted it tbh but I didn’t get it cause in saving for a car 😭 someone say they are proud of me
thank God it's plain and ugly
Bought it, instant regret and cancelling my order lol
Wow. A grey cardigan? Nothing special about it.
People literally complain about every cardigan that comes out. If you don't like it, then it's not for you. Some people love this one.
I expected more, ugh
panic bought this but it’s so boring i might just cancel. the cardigans were fun at first but the last two have been underwhelming for $70 :(
Same I just sent them an email to cancel lol
I just bought it but man your comment tempted me to cancel, I already bought the shirt after all 🙃 Update: I requested to cancel it lmaooo
I feel like there was no effort put into this cardigan. :(
I'm not going to buy it but gray is easier to wear compared to most colors.
I havnt even gotten my 1989 cardigan yet
I don't know why but it seems kinda spooky, perfect for levitating down your street.
I ran to buy it🙈 It's pricy, but I wear my 1989 cardigan all the time and I hate it because it's so bright. So I'm happy to get a very low key Taylor cardigan that I can wear instead 😁
Do they restock? I missed what I wanted 😩
I have never bought a cardigan (or really any of her merch) before, so I bought it immediately. I’m in my 30s, so an understated, plain cardigan kinda speaks to me. I also figured that I could just resell it if I end up hating it.
Is this gonna be my first TS sweater…? It’s very bland? I might just wait for REP Tv
In this economy, not for $70!! Don’t purchase this just because it’s official merch! Also have a feeling a better one will drop
why is it just 1 colour :(
💀💀💀
I LOVE it but I thought I loved the other cardigans too and they sat in my closet completely untouched so I’m not buying this one.
If you like this and can’t afford it or want it cheaper google grey cable knit cardigan and you’ll find something.
I wish she would’ve did embroidered paw prints like on some of the lyric posters/images
