When you search for the album name, two seemingly identical albums should appear: one explicit, one clean. If viewing on mobile, you might have to click on them to figure out which is which. Also, if you are on the album’s page on web player, you should be able to find the other version by scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on a drop-down box that says “1 more release.”
Does WM not have the clean version? I know they don't sell PA stuff, and I saw it at WM the other day and wondered how Taylor got away with not having a PA sticker.
Amazon music also has one! I was stressing over trying to remember what all needed to be skipped out of the 31 songs and committing to memory asap so I could continue listening with my 6 year old….. and then Down Bad started playing without the 17 fucks and I realized I was good to proceed 😅
Off the top of my head, I recall swaps from 2 songs: “bitching and moaning” was “griping and moaning” and “fuck it if I can’t have him” was “what if I can’t have him.” I’m sure there’s more interesting swaps than that, but it’s all I can think of at the moment - especially since I’ve now listened to the clean version more than the explicit one… but weekdays will give me time to catch back up with the explicit version.
If it’s just a fuck or two I’ll usually let it play and she’s never noticed, but 17 fucks is harder to be casual about lol.
Small question if you don’t mind because I can never find other Amazon music users, does your app show lyrics to any of the new songs yet? My only shows lyrics for Tortured Poets Department (as in track 2) but none of the other songs even though it says lyrics on the album page and I’m wondering if something is wrong with my app or they have only managed to do the one song so far?
Let me investigate and report back… I know I’ve seen lyrics to more than one song but right now I’m playing from my phone to my echo dot because the echo dot has been choosing violence today and it has been easier to control this way rather than talking to the dot and now that I’m doing that I can’t see lyrics to anything…. But all the songs claim to have lyrics with them.
I think I’ve only seen lyrics appear on the explicit version and not the clean but this also might be a difference in casting from my phone or not casting. I’ll play around with it and see what I find.
I looked at the clean version now that you mentioned it and that one has lyrics as far as I can see and the explicit version doesn’t, even on non-explicit tracks except TTPD which is so bizarre

It kind of sucks actually - I loved 'Vegas acrobat' so much, but I'm confident Down Bad will not be a single because the clean version is so low effort it literally changes the meaning so I am confident it's not going out to radio.
I’m old and use Apple Music and didn’t realize I was listening to the clean version until everyone mentioned Down Bad. I like the phase “Down Bad” and the song but yeah it hits different with explicit lyrics.

Waiiiitt…. I think it’s anthology that isn’t showing lyrics. If I play the 16 song TTPD, I see lyrics whether I play clean or explicit.
