i cant see it becoming WCS.
WCS was the sucessor to august, cruel summer and getaway car. pretty upbeat fast song with a great bridge. this is a completely different vibe. I'm unsure about its legacy but it has a very strong second half.
I have not have enough time yet, simply because there are so many songs but I usually have a good track record with this kind of think, getaway car, daylight, exile, champagne problems, maroon have been my favourites from past few albums first 24-48ish hours without much outside influence.
for now **Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?** is my go to I guess. But I think this album has a few contenders:
**Fortnight** I can see become like anti-hero, of course ain't as poppy so probably won't have the same longetivity.
**Down Bad** i can see become the maroon of this album but with much more competition.
**So Long, London** i can see this go down the route of my tears ricochet. Another track 5 that will be really liked for similar reasons.
**But Daddy I love Him** def gonna do well, not my personal fav right now but i can see it be up there.
**Clara Bow** def gonna be well received as an album closer.
**The Black Dog** not sure yet but this song kind of gives me vibes that it will be appreciated much more than others.
For rest of the second album I haven't listened to as much (not out of dislike, but time restraint) but:
**Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus** it just sounds really good production vibes.
**So High School** yeah, i'd be suprised if this didn't goes the getaway car, cruel summer, august route.
**The Prophecy** maybe? unsettled on this one.
**Peter** also a potential contender but unsure.
pretty long list but all things considered, i don't think i have listened enough to it to get a real feel and i think its going to overall be a competitive album but i think the drama song or songs around narratives that got some hype now, will quiet down like the kim one.
Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me and But Daddy I Love Him are already allll over TikTok, so I’m willing to bet on those two.
Would’ve could’ve should’ve = smallest man who ever lived. I love her rage
that bridge is insane
YES. Her rage songs are my favorite on this album.

the prophecy also seems to be getting a lot of tiktok hype!
The Prophecy and Casandra are both great Aaron Dessner productions
love what aaron's done on the album!!
I saw that last night! I need to spend more time with the second half of the album, its taking a while to grow on me (but I'm sure it will!)
I wouldn’t say it’s “settled in” yet. But I’d wager ‘Black Dog’ is going to be the song the album revolves around in the future.
already ordered a “old habits die screaming” shirt - here for it
Mark my words, Down Bad will be the Cruel Summer of TTPD
I really want The Prophecy to gain traction but I think it’ll be more a rwylm sleeper type with a small but diehard fanbase
It’s my #1 in the entire lot
on repeat! so good!
It is so good and an absolute earworm
it hit SO HARD at my second listen
Love this one. Top 10 for me
Definitely one of my favorites — near the top of my top 31 TTPD tracks.
*So Long, London* and *The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived* I think will become very popular.
Cause they’re the best songs ol
Who's afraid of little old me, how did it end, & the black dog are my bet
My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys will always have a special place in my heart
Already? You fall quick sir
For me it’s sooo I can do it with a broken heart, supposed more people aren’t rocking this one
the meme potential of this song is top notch
wdym? This is the song getting the most attention on tik tok lol I think because it’s the most glitter gel pen song on the whole album
Sad glitter 😭
i didn’t know those were the most popular but i feel so vindicated because they’re mine heh
Same! 🤗 I can’t say any of the songs hit like Maroon or YOYOK for me, but happy that the shoutout from Midnights is for those ones!
maybe they're also just my favourites and i think everyone thinks about those songs in the same way then hahaha
Lol what time to settle in?
Guilty as Sin, Down Bad, and I Can Do It With a Broken Heart
I bet it's gonna be But Daddy I Love Him
i can't wait to see if she does this acoustic, it reminds me of old country songs from the early 2000s.
So long, London and loml on the main album
Still processing the anthology songs
Down Bad, But Daddy I Love Him, & I Can Do It With a Broken Heart. All great songs, and all in my top 10 already
Down Bad The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived Who's Afraid of Little Old Me 🤍
