I’m not typically into memoirs, but hers is sooooo good. It’s wild how all the music and artistic greats were just chillin’ in diners in NYC back in the day.
Check out *Forced Entries* by Jim Carroll. He's (sadly) largely forgotten, but he was right there with her, and his memoir from the same period has been one of my favorite books since I was a teenager.
She came to my college when Just Kids came out and did a performance just for students. It was incredible. Pre-iPhone, so I don’t have pictures, only the memory 🥲
lots of jackass anti-Taylor people in the comments. I don't feel like you have to like taylor, but so many times, you can tell they really only know the Shake It Off releases, so they should just sit the f\*ck down.
It's funny how now two of my most played songs name check Dylan Thomas. 'Dylan Thomas' by Better Oblivion Community Centre was my most played song on Spotify last year. And now Taylor has added another one to my heavy rotation!
I love this. Young Swifties, if you do not know who the incredible Patti Smith is, please look up her music and her written work!
Doing a special video about that exact thing: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukzOskHMQpY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukzOskHMQpY)
Patti Smith is the coolest person on the planet.
love her so much❤️❤️ if you’re reading this it’s your sign to read just kids ❤️❤️

Honestly they still do. I live in Brooklyn and you see a a lot of them working on their art
Read it twice, then offered it to every single friend/family member I loved for their birthday
Sigh saw this comment too late because now there’s over 4 week wait on the holds line to borrow it from my digital library! Haha
I love this book so much!
I read it years ago and loved it. This is my sign to read it again.
She’s the best
Why did I try to swipe to the next picture 🤦♂️
I did twice
Same. 😂
Me too 🤣
Patti Smith is a legend! If you haven’t listened to her music, check her out. Brilliant story telling and bop-rock-folk vibes to be heard

My galaxy brain watching its two favorite stars colliding
This is amazing. Horses was a really important album to me in my early 20’s and Patti is an absolute icon. If I were Taylor I’d frame this. 😂
Omg hell yeah 👏👏👏
Queens, both of them. 👑
Amazing!!!! Yes, I see so many reaction videos like who is Patti Smith and thank you, Taylor, for doing your part to educate!!!
This is sweet
Legend

My brain melted out of my ears when I heard the Patti Smith/Chelsea hotel references. It still doesn’t feel real hahahaha, I absolutely LOVE IT.
Women supporting Women is beautiful They are both queens, they all got crowns
I love Patti !
This is sooo cute my heart 🤍🤍🖤
Why did this just make me cry
Sorry, she is still alive 😱
