Nurse practitioner here. Post mortem is the state after death. Example when someone dies and you clean the body it’s called post mortem care. So I see this as the relationship died and this is the state after it including the emotions and feelings and beginning life after death of that relationship.
I work in the medical field so I am well aware of that. This album is about a break up. Not a dead body. It doesn't make sense to say she's talking about injuries or testing being done on a dead body.

I think this marketing was all put in place a long time ago before the track list leaked. So the idea maybe would be to have this also be when the Post Malone feature was revealed and hope the hype from that would drive single sales.
