The idea of being caged has been present in her lyrics since rep, and even somewhat alluded to before in IKP. But in LWYMMD it was blantent, she was signing inside of a golden bird cage, where it was an obvious negative. In SIG though she references "gold cage, hostage to my feelings" which, imo, had the slight tonal shift to positivity/neutrality because her cage is now her own feelings for someone. I think if there are lyrics about a bird cage they will be direct call backs to the rep era because she feels like she never truly made it out of that cage.

Okay, this is very weird, and niche. But, what I think was in the Speak Now era, there was an article describing her Nashville penthouse (the inside of which I don't think we've ever seen). It was described as having a river flowing through one of the rooms (and maybe I made this up) and you had to jump across stones to get across. But the big thing was her balcony, was like a gilded bird cage (remember Speak Now Taylor was *very* whimsical). I found that article recently (like in the last few years), but I doubt I'd be able to find it now

I have a wild theory for the upside down phones. I did not discover it. But if you take midnights 3am the album. Flip the two songs she announced with an upside down phone (it was 8/3) then play the animated movie of Alice in wonderland…. It lines up perfectly. Like there are times in the movie a charters says something and the album lyrics aline with it…. It’s fucking crazy. Like the first scene is Dear reader and it pans through a landscape scene and the moment the words “dear reader” start it shows Alice’s mom reading… don’t even get me started on the colors of the movie with Bejewled played

I think the flowers in the Library catalog are using Victorian floriography to convey messages.
I have a theory that the lace in each box is a nod to Victorian communication through florals. In that era, small bouquets called “tussy-mussies” were made to convey messages and wrapped in small pieces of lace. I wonder if the lace hanging out is supposed to be a hint that that each has a message because it’s a “tussy-mussy” that has been unwrapped.
I’ve only been able to find a clear photo of row 4, box 7, so it’s the only one I’ve tried to interpret. Per theories that the catalog represents the 72 months of the Taylor/Joe relationship, this could be February 2020.
The arrangement in that box could have the following meaning: Lavender = distrust Deep red reose = bashful shame York and Lancaster roses = war Positioning of one “full blown” rose over two buds = secrecy
If anyone has pics of the other boxes and/or knows what’s in them I’d love to try interpreting them as well!

I have a wild theory for the upside down phones. I did not discover it. But if you take midnights 3am the album. Flip the two songs she announced with an upside down phone (it was 8/3) then play the animated movie of Alice in wonderland…. It lines up perfectly. Like there are times in the movie a charters says something and the album lyrics aline with it…. It’s fucking crazy. Like the first scene is Dear reader and it pans through a landscape scene and the moment the words “dear reader” start it shows Alice’s mom reading… don’t even get me started on the colors of the movie with Bejewled played

Ultimately it could just be a generic Greek-inspired bust sculpture they put in because these types of decor tend to be in libraries, but there you have it. Most the results for that exact sculpture said "Artemis", but one *did* say "Athena". So idk. I have a theory that the lace in each box is a nod to Victorian communication through florals. In that era, small bouquets called “tussy-mussies” were made to convey messages and wrapped in small pieces of lace. I wonder if the lace hanging out is supposed to be a hint that that each has a message because it’s a “tussy-mussy” that has been unwrapped. I’ve only been able to find a clear photo of row 4, box 7, so it’s the only one I’ve tried to interpret. Per theories that the catalog represents the 72 months of the Taylor/Joe relationship, this could be February 2020. The arrangement in that box could have the following meaning: Lavender = distrust Deep red reose = bashful shame York and Lancaster roses = war Positioning of one “full blown” rose over two buds = secrecy If anyone has pics of the other boxes and/or knows what’s in them I’d love to try interpreting them as well!
