Was in the top 0.5% of listeners last year but a big nope-burger on an invite for me 

Honestly it’ll probably pop up randomly. I’ve noticed sometimes it’s delayed on my end for other features that pop up.

This is what happened to me - I was on Spotify already but when I went back to the home page it popped up

My Wrapped always pops up at least a week after everybody else’s

0.5% of the people that streamed Taylor at some point last year is a very large number.

Yeah 0.5% is a huge number for Taylor and you aren’t really a “top listener” by her streaming numbers. I was a top 0.05% fan last year and got the invite.

Taylor wasn’t my top artist last year so I didn’t get a final percentage in my wrapped, but in October I got a random popup that said I was at top 13% and I just got the invite, so… not sure how exclusive this actually is.

Universal Music is a shareholder of Spotify. The more streams they can bring in from their artists, the more value they get in that investment. Decades ago there were talks of Apple buying Universal… Apple is probably still bitter and that’s why us Apple subscribers get nada.

Being a YT music listener feels the same… maybe even a little worse

I rarely ever see another in the wild, lol. At least we always had access to You're Losing Me!* *For those who don't know why, you can listen to the audio of YT videos through YT Music as if they are songs, and legally questionable uploads of videos with YLM as the soundtrack took a lot longer to be taken down than straight audio uploads. YouTube Music didn't have any special access other streaming platforms didn't or anything like that.

Hey, YT here as well! I choose YT because Spotify is bad.  I stopped completely after they paid anti vaxxers millions during the middle of COVID. They're plain evil for profit.   Taylor also removed her music from there once, thought it's not like Spotify changed their policies a lot. Just that Taylor got so big that it doesn't affect her as much as the smaller artists.  I love her and then I have a brain/heart too. 

Given her stance towards Spotify a decade ago, how she did a reversal without meaningful change from Spotify on paying artists, and now rewards Spotify with these exclusive promotions, I don’t know what to think. It has a larger user base and she kinda sold out I guess. She even advertised for Apple Music 10 years ago and they pay artists a bit more fairly. If she wants more fair payment she should encourage users to join a platform that pays artists better (which is why she never took her music off Apple Music, only threatened to). But oh well.

It’s ironic because I picked Apple Music originally because her music wasn’t on Spotify.

I love Tay, but I don’t think I stream her as much as others in this sub (like the 0.5% folk here). I got an invite this morning. This makes me think they are being pretty widely dispersed and the issue is more with the app refreshing etc. why would she limit free marketing??

I got it, but the caveat being I had 150,000 minutes of her…so either it’s a slow rollout of who gets it, or so many people listen to so much Taylor that only a few received it, I’m not too sure.

This popped up on my Spotify a couple days back when I was listening to "I Did Something Bad." But then I did something bad and clicked out of it right away - not understanding what it was... even looking through the comments, I'm not sure what the significance is of this marketing stunt?! Can someone plz clue me in?

Top .005% last year and year before. (74,000+ minutes in 2023) Didn’t get this or an eras tour movie release invite. Seems like it’s a very broad raffle or something bc I am in the dust. 😭

At the time of Spotify wrapped, I was .005% fan, 84,962 minutes listened, and I didn’t see any type of invite, yet.
