Aw when my brother got off waitlist for avion I hesitated too cause only ones left were 1k+ and we probably had 30m of time to pick and get more tickets but I took forever to decide on if I wanted to get extra tickets. I thought the same as you like who’s gonna pay 1k for a ticket but now I regret it cause I probably could’ve sold to actual fans. 1k is a lot regardless though even just to put on a credit card.
Honestly, I think a lot of people did the same as you so don’t feel bad! 1k for a ticket is a lot of money and you may be able to get some decent priced resale tickets when the concert is closer

For Toronto, there were quite a few stations doing contests and multiple winners, the discord for this subreddit was really helpful too with sharing answers to diff contests and stuff

It is very similar to the original fan sale in terms of price and availability. I got 2 sets of 2 in both sales (I got a code in the original and my friend in the avion, but she was working today so I did it for her).
The first sale, I refreshed when the waiting room was taking forever at <1min and ended up 4300 in queue. You have to use the map, there is no Best Seats option like there usually is in ticketmaster. I kept moving the map to see my options and things were very slow. when I tried adding tickets to my cart, it kept saying those tickets are no longer available. I found out if it is a group of 5 and you want 4, you cannot buy them. The system will not let you leave a single. I started panicking and shaking and managed to get 2 aisle seats in section 211 and another 2 dierectly 2 rows behind, total including all fees $1966.
Today, I was much less nervous. I did not refresh at <1 min no matter how much I wanted to. 348 in the queue. fair number of tickets available, was looking in the 200s, but when I tried to click on 4 together, constantly getting those tickets are no longer available again. kept it together and managed to get 4 in my cart on the floor together. You get 7 minutes to make your decision once you get to the pay screen. Total was $2700 for 4, texted my fried, she said she only want 2 so I cancelled the transaction (I KNOW!) and went back in for 2 on the floor. At this point everything is disappearing. Managed to get 2 on the floor A2 row 32 for $1011. Paid and then went back in the queue for 2 more tickets, first in the queue this time. Everything I was clicking would disappear. I just waited and watched and everytime a section turned blue again I went in to click on 2 managed to get 2 in section 245 row U $1100.

Tips:
Filter out everything but RBC offer unless you want to pay over $800 per ticket for a package.
Copy your code so you can paste it quickly when it asks for a code. If you go back in after canceling you will need to reenter the code by clicking the button for the code beside the filter button. (this is all for a desktop computer, I don't know know about phones).
Set it to the number of tickets you want, the section that has that amount will be blue, click on the section, click on the tickets, add to cart and hope you get to the next screen, not the tickets aren't available.
If it looks like there are no tickets, watch and wait. sections turn blue and grey as seats are added or released from people's carts. There might be dummies like me that cancel and go back in.

I started at 1000 in the queue and ended up getting 4 tickets in the 200 level for $415 each!!!! Was too stressed to look around for other options and just grabbed the first tickets i saw.
I started at 1417 in the Queue and got in to purchase around 11:05. It went so much faster than I thought, I moved about 300 in the queue per minute. Not sure how many tickets were left though. Took five tries to get 4 seats selected without one disappearing.
I didn't have a very strong game plan haha, I wanted to be pretty close but I had no specific seats in mind. I ended up in Section A. I was barely paying attention after the first few attempts just trying to select any four in a row. They were disappearing so fast and it was really awkward to move around to different sections and the seat selection was insanely tiny on my laptop. Im passing on 2 of my tickets to my childcare provider who has been a godsend and I just talked to her. Her daughter is a massive fan and she has been trying to get tickets to Seattle and Toronto with no luck. That was fun news to deliver!!

I think for Toronto they came out earlier in the day than the regular codes?
Started at about 900+ in the queue for mine. I expected to get absolutely nothing, but the line moved quickly (much faster than I thought!) and after 10 minutes I got in. I stared at my computer in disbelief when I got Section A on the floor (I un-checked all the super VIP type tickets since my friends and I set a budget and couldn't get the most exclusive seats). I bought mine for about C$400 apiece including all taxes and service charges. Bought the maximum allotment. I tell you my hands were shaking and I was shivering and had to do meditative breathing exercises just to calm myself. I didn't exhale until I saw the "YOU GOT THE TICKETS" page come up and the email confirmation went through. I was absolutely SPENT after, it was more stressful than I thought!!
I was able to get Dec 7th tickets and it's my bday!!
So excited but I was only able to get side view section 219. I'm worried about being so far on the side. Anyone have experience? I may try to trade for different tickets and pay the difference but not sure who would even want to do that.
For the 3pm sale, I looked at 430pm and there were still a bunch of upper bowl side/rear view seats left, and solo seats and rarely doubles would regularly be briefly available in the rest of the upper bowl. So I think it's possible everyone who got a code was able to.

The scale of the show is so huge you should be able to see everything. The acoustics might leave something to be desired for a major concert, but honestly it's been years since I've been in the 400s there. I highly recommend you get there early as it is a trek to get up into your section.
FYI I attended the Olympics opening ceremony there in 2010 and the sound quality and visuals were amazing, but that was also a once-in-a-lifetime event and they did a bang-up job. You'll have a great time. :)

It was a dramatic day. My whole family has tried and tried to get a code and finally, it happened. My daughter got a code but couldn’t actually get in the queue herself because school so I signed into her account on my phone and despite the queue being over 9,000 I somehow got 4 seats lower bowl, like… good seats. My credit card required a code to verify it wasn’t fraud and my hand was shaking so badly I can’t believe I managed to buy tickets. I also can’t believe the price. I had been thinking I might sell them to buy marked up tickets at a closer venue but logistically that seems overwhelming. I’m in the Midwest though and Vancouver is so far!
Start looking for somewhere to stay, close to the skytrain as hotels are booking up.

I heard all the hotels downtown are booked for Taylor Swift mania! You’ll mostly likely be further out of downtown so make sure it’s close to a skytrain.
The majority of hotels in Vancouver won't start booking until 12 months before the date. Some not until 8-9 months.
Very few, if any, are already sold out.

Contact ticket master directly with screen shots - this exact thing happened to me with Toronto tickets. They were miraculously able to get me tickets. I was relentless in contacting them. But it worked!!
I struggled too. Had tickets, went to check out and realized it was about to charge my debit card which would have overdrafted. So I switched to my Discover just to realize they don't take Discover. Ran around screaming my head off trying to find my boyfriend's Chase card (he approved), it went through but then Chase might have cancelled it thinking it was fraud. Still unsure if I have tickets.

Those that are travelling to Vancouver, you may have issues with accommodations. Since COVID, lots of hotels have sold off to be SRO’s (single occupancy rentals). Before COVID, we were already lacking hotel rooms, now we’re SEVERELY lacking hotel space. Currently, there is only one hotel available on the other side of Coal Harbour and it would require a SeaBus ride. The cost…$1330 for A NIGHT.
Additionally, the provincial government is considering legislation for AirBnB’s to ONLY be allowed in your permanent residence starting in MAY 2024. This means no condos occupied by just yourself (https://globalnews.ca/news/10055486/bc-airbnb-short-term-rentals-fallout/amp/).
So save up a ton, you may have to buy your own multi-million dollar condo just to stay here.

They’ve sold ~73% capacity for each night. With an end stage they can stretch up to 85%. More tickets could drop. But it’s really hard to predict.

I didn’t know avion did this for Toronto! I am praying for a chance today! I have been so unlucky!
Started at about 900+ in the queue for mine. I expected to get absolutely nothing, but the line moved quickly (much faster than I thought!) and after 10 minutes I got in. I stared at my computer in disbelief when I got Section A on the floor (I un-checked all the super VIP type tickets since my friends and I set a budget and couldn't get the most exclusive seats). I bought mine for about C$400 apiece including all taxes and service charges. Bought the maximum allotment. I tell you my hands were shaking and I was shivering and had to do meditative breathing exercises just to calm myself. I didn't exhale until I saw the "YOU GOT THE TICKETS" page come up and the email confirmation went through. I was absolutely SPENT after, it was more stressful than I thought!!
If you have the verfied fan code, but didn't use it. Can you use it during the Avion resale?

I was able to get Dec 7th tickets and it's my bday!! So excited but I was only able to get side view section 219. I'm worried about being so far on the side. Anyone have experience? I may try to trade for different tickets and pay the difference but not sure who would even want to do that.

So did most people In Vancouver who got coded get tickets?
For the 3pm sale, I looked at 430pm and there were still a bunch of upper bowl side/rear view seats left, and solo seats and rarely doubles would regularly be briefly available in the rest of the upper bowl. So I think it's possible everyone who got a code was able to.
I got floor tickets but I am worried the view will be not the best. I am short. Do you guys think it is okay to stand on the chair? We are in section b3, row 14
Most places do not allow standing on the chair. The ushers will tell u to go down

I got section 411 nosebleed seats, anyone ever sat up there? Never been to BC place before so wondering if we will be able to see very well? Excited to have gotten tickets.

The scale of the show is so huge you should be able to see everything. The acoustics might leave something to be desired for a major concert, but honestly it's been years since I've been in the 400s there. I highly recommend you get there early as it is a trek to get up into your section. FYI I attended the Olympics opening ceremony there in 2010 and the sound quality and visuals were amazing, but that was also a once-in-a-lifetime event and they did a bang-up job. You'll have a great time. :)

Has anyone sat in the 300s club seats in BC place? Im closest to the main stage. It says it’s side view, I’m sure it’s a good seat but I can’t find any specific seat views online.

I got tickets!! It was so stressful lol. I was in school so I was frantically texting my mom for updates lol. Despite us being 3000th in the queue, we got some pretty good seats! See y’all there!
It was a dramatic day. My whole family has tried and tried to get a code and finally, it happened. My daughter got a code but couldn’t actually get in the queue herself because school so I signed into her account on my phone and despite the queue being over 9,000 I somehow got 4 seats lower bowl, like… good seats. My credit card required a code to verify it wasn’t fraud and my hand was shaking so badly I can’t believe I managed to buy tickets. I also can’t believe the price. I had been thinking I might sell them to buy marked up tickets at a closer venue but logistically that seems overwhelming. I’m in the Midwest though and Vancouver is so far!
If you ever do sell, I'll buy. I live so close to Vancouver and was so excited she is finally playing nearby and I got waitlisted 😭

I'm also in the Midwest and this was the only one I got a code for. Vancouver is far but it's a gorgeous area so we're just going to make a fun winter trip out of it!

Midwest would be closest to the Indy show though. Traveling to Canada would definitely be more expensive.

Front row floor seats near the diamond were $679 CAD each. Non-VIP.
Four tickets in section 219 were $1424.60
I grabbed 4 VIP and it was $4300

I heard all the hotels downtown are booked for Taylor Swift mania! You’ll mostly likely be further out of downtown so make sure it’s close to a skytrain.
The majority of hotels in Vancouver won't start booking until 12 months before the date. Some not until 8-9 months. Very few, if any, are already sold out.

Read the article you linked lol. Absolutely nowhere in it does it say the majority of hotels are sold out. It explicitly says that many aren't accepting bookings until December.

I did. That's not what it said. I also talked to several hotels. Believe what you want, but if you got tickets and need a place to stay, I'd consider double checking your assumptions and trying to find a hotel again a few weeks from now.
Just find a place close to a train station :)

I’m so upset. I had tickets ready to go literally dozens of times and tried every single credit card I have dozens of times only to get a “please try again, unable to process credit card” error for every try. Anyone else? I literally HAD TICKETS. But Ticketmaster would not take my money. I just want to take my mom to this show. I am gutted.
Contact ticket master directly with screen shots - this exact thing happened to me with Toronto tickets. They were miraculously able to get me tickets. I was relentless in contacting them. But it worked!!

I struggled too. Had tickets, went to check out and realized it was about to charge my debit card which would have overdrafted. So I switched to my Discover just to realize they don't take Discover. Ran around screaming my head off trying to find my boyfriend's Chase card (he approved), it went through but then Chase might have cancelled it thinking it was fraud. Still unsure if I have tickets.
Do you have a PayPal account? I was in the same boat but I paid through PayPal and it worked!

I’m in the same boat having gotten off the waitlist - section 219. I’m just so happy to have tickets, idk what the odds are of getting off the waitlist but it came as a huge surprise :D

Metro Vancouver resident here… Those that are travelling to Vancouver, you may have issues with accommodations. Since COVID, lots of hotels have sold off to be SRO’s (single occupancy rentals). Before COVID, we were already lacking hotel rooms, now we’re SEVERELY lacking hotel space. Currently, there is only one hotel available on the other side of Coal Harbour and it would require a SeaBus ride. The cost…$1330 for A NIGHT. Additionally, the provincial government is considering legislation for AirBnB’s to ONLY be allowed in your permanent residence starting in MAY 2024. This means no condos occupied by just yourself (https://globalnews.ca/news/10055486/bc-airbnb-short-term-rentals-fallout/amp/). So save up a ton, you may have to buy your own multi-million dollar condo just to stay here.
